Nice seating areas

Hadn't stayed here in years and was quite impressed with the renovations. Got a one bedroom gulf front king suite for a three day staycation. What a nice room! Full kitchen so I didn't even have to leave. A big comfy bed with super soft linens. Plenty of space, great views, everything I needed. Check in was super efficient and the reviews are right about the woman at the front desk..what a nice person! Walked me to my room, showed me how to work the digital lock, even came and rescued me at 10:00 at night when dummy me locked myself out. The only downfall is the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors and traffic so be prepared to get up early. Hey, it's the beach..who doesn't want to take an early morning walk on the beach anyway?!

We have stayed here for the last time. Place has turned into beer drinking, cigarette smoking, pot head village. Sad what this couple has to except in order to pay the bills. Great location, great access to the beach but be ready to here, "hold my beer and watch this." The owners used to be friendly! It's obvious they don't enjoy what they had or have any interest in having guest stay at their place that are from farther than 25 miles away. This place is party central. Not a Christian environment and certainly not a place for families with kids. Sure miss the old Molloy!

I almost hate to say what a fabulous place this is...small, clean, reasonable, friendly staff...right on the beach...but ig you come...shhhhhh...

The Molloy has become my summer home away from home. My new favorite room is room 1. Softest beds anywhere in the world. Like sleeping on a cloud. The staff is helpful but not overly in your way. This place is like having your own summer cottage. The building is older but has a charming feel to it. We have never had any problems getting the help we need. Brandon from the front desk helped my husband carry all our bags up the stairs. We will always stay here when they have availability. We have tried a few other places on Treasure Island and always switched mid stay to The Molloy. You can walk right out onto the beach. This most recent trip we saw a harbor porpoise right up close. It was amazing. I would live at the Molloy permanently if I could.

The door of our room. Plaster was falling off/door was rotting.

We were very disappointed in many areas. First of all don't be swayed by their pictures. Their cottages have been remodeled but not their daily rooms. Ours was a throwback from the 60's and need of a lot of repairs and for the price $150.00 we feel we were taken advantage of for the room we got. Their location, right on the beach is a positive for this place and they have very comfortable beds.

Awesome place on the beach. Mom and Pop owned. Need ice machine on property, they can't be that costly and it is a courtesy to the guests.

We were excited to discover that the hotel is just a short walk away from one of our favorite beaches, Upham beach, which made the trip even more special. The property had a fun South Beach feel with plenty of seating to socialize, a cute pool with bright flamingo floats, a hot tub, and a great outdoor pool bar. Natalia was a great bartender, she was friendly and gave the most awesome recommendations off the menu. She did not miss a beat! Randy was a fantastic host. He was in communication via text as soon as the room was ready and greeted us immediately as we arrived on the property which does not require you to check in as they send you your room number and code to get in. In the room they also leave all important information including your parking pass and two complimentary drink tickets for a convenient arrival no matter what time you get in. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a king bed, updated bathroom, big-screen TV, and a convenient kitchenette. There were complimentary mimosas in the lobby each morning. They even have a wonderful restaurant on the 2nd floor, 82 Degrees, where we enjoyed most of our meals for the weekend.

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

When I say this hotel is right on the beach, I am not exaggerating. It is RIGHT on the beach, with a private access through the pool and patio area. It was quiet, clean, and the view was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed walking right out onto the beach, and the beach was not busy at all! We were able to find a sand dollar and some shells. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk team was very friendly, and the lady who checked us in offered us a top floor with a great view. I would 1000% stay here again!

We had a warm welcome from Kayla at the front desk and a very efficient and informative check-in. Really nice smile and genuine hospitality. If you are in a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom, you have one car pass for the group. If you have a three bedroom, then you can receive two car passes. Due to its small footprint, parking is limited but sufficient. And the room was absolutely spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and everything was in working order. Very comfortable and a cool respite from the unrelentless sun. When leaving the unit, it is recommended to always draw the blackouts to help conserve the energy and the AC's function. You'll be glad you did. We did not get a chance to utilize the pool, but it looked like it was being put to good use with lots of happy people. It was easy to walk out to the beach so we utilized the beach every day of our stay. The hotel is easily walkable to John's pass Village and all the restaurants and shops there. The breakfast served each morning was fresh and tasty and always well-attended by the hotel guests. I would recommend getting there earlier versus later to avoid the crowds (7-10 AM). In addition to Kayla, Gavin was quite friendly and helpful at the front desk. All around, the the associates we encountered in any of the areas of the resort were engaged and interactive with the customers. Quite a guest-centric team. Remember to take your room key with you anytime departing your unit as it is required to enter both the beachside building as well as the front desk/lobby building. A 10 out of 10 stay!!!

Our Usual place is closed due to the storm damage, so we booked here as they are one of the only places open with full Kitchenettes. Most of the Restaurants are still closed, Publix is open. CVS is open, Walgreens is open. Enough places to get essentials. Sir Hubbers & I drove around the whole hotel, the side streets surrounding this hotel are apocalyptic. I have never seen anything like it. Everyone has been flooded. All the gorgeous St Pete beach homes have been gutted & the entire contents of everyone's homes are on the street. It looks like a war zone. However, when you come into this property it looks immaculate. This place was somehow untouched. The two pools are gorgeous, the rooms spotless & our King Suite was super comfortable. Perfect in every way. Our King Suite has a full kitchen with a full size stove, full size refrigerator & a full size pull out couch with separate AC & fan. The separate King Bedroom & bath were divided by a sliding barn door with its on walk in closet, walk in Marble tiled Shower, it's own AC & fan! Our King bed & bath were super comfy & gorgeous in every way. We even had all brand new towels. Honestly, we can't find one thing to criticize about this place. They even have a wall of "Beach stuff" to use to take to the beach. WOW. This place is just perfect for us. Covered all our needs. We also met the lovely Amanda, she is super friendly, service was excellent. We LOVED our stay at "St Pete Beach suites" & can't wait to return. We have finally found our home away from home OuiOui. After just returning home from our stay in Treasure Island, Florida, I had to make time to write…read morethis review and express how pleased I was with everything about Westwinds Waterfront Resort. We checked in on Thurs., Dec. 10th and stayed until Tues., Dec. 15th, coming into the Tampa area to witness and celebrate our daughter's graduation from USF. To begin with, checking in was a breeze, the grounds are incredibly clean and well-kept. The tropical foliage, palm trees and landscaping create this Utopian effect and you feel, well...relaxed. The resort houses approx. 35 - 45 condo-style units that give you a far better value than some of the competing hotels. I completely spaced taking pics of the interior while there but I can describe it as being fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and approx. 1000 sq ft. The master bdr features one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept on and I woke up each morning, feeling entirely refreshed. I'm gonna need to know the brand and style of mattress that was, when you read this, Westwinds! The place was super clean, fully stocked with a variety of towels, spacious and had a nice layout to it. The wildlife surrounding the resort were also quite the sight to see, as were the multiple dolphin sightings at the rear of the resort. The pool was crystal clear, heated and very clean. The only issues we encountered were very minor and weigh nominally on this review. Our shower head seemed to have a mind of it's own by spraying multiple directions due to some hard water build up in the shower head jets. When I adjusted the water flow to a more powerful stream, it worked fine and I just had to adapt to a thinner, high-pressure stream. The other notable issue that may also require 10 mins of attention by the maintenance tech, would be to adjust or replace the toilet lever. In order to accomplish a full flush, the handle had to be held down for approx. 3 - 4 seconds, rather than a press and release. Lastly, in the front guest bedroom, the ceiling fan was off-camber and made a significant humming noise, no matter the speed. Once again...minor issues. The service provided to my family and I, by Leslie, was nothing short of wonderful. Leslie is the main property manager and seems to do it all on the grounds. She was awesome. So awesome, as a matter of fact, we took her down some homemade taco soup, prepared by my wife the evening before. We felt genuinely welcomed and valued the entire time we stayed. We will be back and we will be staying at Westwinds once more. This place was great!!! Thank you! SCORE: 4.5 STARS!!
