This was great. More fun than I have had in a long time. 15yo daughter loved it too. Rich is a great tour guide. Highly recommended.

We were told to try to be there at least 20 minutes early and we were! About 10 people in front of us. I do have motion sickness but I also had some special patches and we were able to get some seats on the top deck. Captain was nice, narration tour proved to be interesting and informative. Not so nice were the people that arrived late and suggested for me to move so " the husband " can seat in the front. Not comfortable and not okay so I denied. It was very annoying to have other people that also arrived late and proceeded to squeeze me and my daughter out of our seats because they really wanted I guess to stay with their friends. More of a party boat than a relaxing atmosphere. Not my cup of tea for that day.

Our charming captain, who is very animated, delighted in telling us the various stories behind some of the homes since she has spent her summers there as a child. It is always a pleasure to be around people who truly love their jobs. After decades of time spent in this area, the waves were the most dazzling three and four footers I had ever seen here. The boat was clean, and the other passengers were friendly and very well behaved, including many children.

Review: American Cruise Lines, American Song, June 5 through June 12, 2022…read more Our experience on American Cruise Line's ship the American Song was a wonderful experience. It was both relaxing, enjoyable, and fun to be pampered. The scenery of mountains, as well as seeing the Columbia and Snake Rivers was beautiful and at times breath-taking. We enjoyed waking up to sit out on our deck each morning to watch the sun rise as the world came alive. Each day, being lovers of history, we discussed, planned, and looked forward to our daily shore excursions, both planned and unplanned. Our meals were excellent and delicious. The crew was friendly, helpful, and anticipated every need. Hotel General Manager Kobi Du Preez was very friendly and although very busy with his hands on approach to operations, always made time to greet us, say hello, and offered helpful information or advice. Cruise Director Olivia Fiore, was fun, entertaining, and offered a lot of energy to activities throughout the day. What might have been a boring process getting off or on a bus, was made delightful as Olivia entertained us all with her clowning theatrics. Each evening we enjoyed Jason and Jack making our cocktails in the lounge and were delighted to listen to the evening entertainment by the talented Laura Sable and Bill Wiemuth with their beautiful and mesmerizing music. Our room was clean, well serviced, and comfortable. Kudos to the housekeeping for always keeping our stay, pleasurable, and well stocked. Overall, an excellent experience to see parts of America we've never seen before. The shore excursions were fun and informative. If you0're looking for a break from the mega-ships and want to explore America, we'd recommend American Cruise Lines.

My girlfriend and I took the American Heritage on the Mississippi River boat cruise, "Highlights of…read morethe Mississippi", May 28-June 3. It was an okay experience, but not above expectations. There were a lot of little things that happened each day that made me question the leadership of this cruise line. The staff were truly wonderful, but inexperienced and young. Most were 18-21 years of age. Very sweet kids and tried their hardest to please the needs of the passengers. But many had only been there a couple of days or a few weeks. There was a lot of miscommunication or lack there of. We would ask for information about where a certain lounge was and the young wait person did not know where it was. At the cocktail lounge, 2 different 'bartenders' did not know how to make simple drinks--gin and tonic and an amaretto sour. I had to tell them how. I asked how they could be serving alcohol since they were under 21. One told me the Mississippi River is 'international waters'...it it NOT!! A couple of the excursions were not planned well. We were told to disembark for a bus tour and the bus was not even there. We had to wait in the heat and humidity for about 10 minutes. Most of those going on this excursion were over 70 years old, many with physical limitations. There was no head cover or seating while we waited. Thank goodness water was available. The icing on the cake was the last day. We were told our bus to the airport would leave at 8 AM. We went for breakfast around 7 AM. An overhead page stated the LAST bus to the airport would be boarding at 7:15 and leaving at 7:30. We questioned the wait staff manager, but he did not know and no one was answering the walkie talkie. We asked one of the crew directors (?Jennifer) and she stated the bus would leave at 7:30 and no other bus would be there to take us to the airport. We rushed to our cabin to get the rest of our stuff and hurried onto the bus only to wait until 8 AM before it left. There was such a lack of communication I felt sorry for the staff. Thus, I do not plan to ever take this cruise line again. I had fun most of the time and the excursions were okay, but too many little things made it just an average trip. And for the price, it just was not worth it.

I have been on the Milford Pedal Cruise before and both are just a super fun way to get together with a group of 22 of your friends and have a great time on the water. Here are some things you'll need to know: The Pier Pressure II is Stamford's only pedal powered party boat operated on Stamford Harbor and goes out into the Long Island Sound. It's a 90 minute excursion that is perfect for corporate outings and team building, as well as office, bachelorette, family, friends and birthday celebrations. It fits 26 guests at 12 pedaling stations & benches, a bar table, coolers, has a bluetooth stereo and also a bathroom. Private Cruises begin at $749 and Public Cruises are sold by the ticket, starting at $55, and seat up to 22 passengers. Guests do tip the Captain & First Mate since they rely on it to pay their bills. Suggested tip for Private Cruises: $200-300 and $10-15 per person for Group Cruises. BYOB! Drinks - beer, wine, hard seltzers, ciders, canned cocktails and the like are suggested. Please avoid bringing glass on board. Only guests 21 years of age or older may bring or consume alcoholic beverages. Don't forget some water. Bring Ice - they do not provide ice :) Bing Snacks - keep in mind it can be breezy on the boat. Cups, utensils, plates, napkins, etc - we do not carry these onboard, so please bring what you need and consider bringing reusable items to help the environment and reduce trash. Depending on the time of year and weather, don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, rain poncho or jacket. It does get cooler on the water- so bring a hoodie :) Lastly- free parking can be found at the Harbor Point Garage at 855 Pacific Street, Stamford, CT 06902 located between Washington Blvd & Harbor Point Rd. Other parking options include street parking and the lot at 200 Washington Blvd. They highly encourage using Uber, Lyft & taxi services, as well as the Metro North Train, a 15 min walk to the meeting location. Their waiting area is located at 1 Harbor Point Rd, Stamford, CT 06902 down the steps and under the blue canopy. You'll see Pedal Cruise signs along the way. Staff will let you and your group down to the boat through a locked gate when the boat is ready for boarding. Please do not enter through the gate without a Pedal Cruise staff member since it is private property. Cheers and have the best time! We sure did!
