It's a place where folks who are in/graduate from MSTL's job program can work. One, their coffee is bomb! They mostly do wholesale business right now, with hopes to expand and serve coffee in a cafe to the public. The only place I know of right now that sells it to consumers is Crave Coffee House on SLU's medical campus. Two, their mission is also awesome. If making great coffee wasn't enough... They want to bring growth to North City's economy and provide jobs for folks who live there. Look out for them, they're doing awesome stuff!

This one did, so I walked over from the restaurant where we were after lunch. This is a very pleasant shop with lots of available seating. It just has a rather modern look, and it was very nice and clean. I came up to talk to a friendly barista. The pour over menu was a bit confusing because there wasn't a lot of information directly on the menu, I asked about one pour over because I had never tried a bean of that origin before. She had good things to say about it, but she said that, if I wanted something fruity or floral to try Haro Wachu from Ethiopia. It was as if she read my mind because I had been wanting to try a natural processed Ethiopian. I'm really glad I took her suggestion! It was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tried. I didn't taste so much of a note of fruit in it, but I still loved it! I made sure to make a note of what it was in case I have room for more beans at home and want to order it. So, I do wish it was easier to tell what each pour over was in the menu (They have a lot at reasonable prices!). However, I left there thoroughly impressed with the coffee. If you are out on Delmar Loop, they are definitely worth visiting.

A London fog is usually in Earl Grey tea that has some steamed milk or cold milk and maybe a sweetener. I got a hot London fog and it was delectable. I also got the pecan sticky roll to go with it. The pecan roll was absolutely sticky and sweet and overall just really delicious. Highly recommend getting it warm if they ask you. The barista was extremely friendly, and I found out later that it was the owner that made my drink, which I think is pretty cool and the general manager guided me to get the London fog. Inside is really nice and cozy. Lots of seating whether you wanna sit inside or outside. Definitely can come solo or with a group of friends. So, I decided to stop by after realizing it's only 4 minutes away from my summer job. My first time there Mark, the owner of Omen, made my drink. It was a brown sugar shaken espresso, that's what I usually get anytime I try new coffee shops. They also told me that they make their sugar in house, which I thought was really cool. I'll eventually try something else but I feel like that's what's been working for me. I've really enjoyed this place because I like how much effort and time they put into making their drinks. I feel as if you can tell by the flavor, they actually care and want you to enjoy what they make. I also like that they host bible studies in their event space upstairs every other Tuesday, in which I didn't know until my first time there! All the employees are incredibly friendly.
