I was hesitant to give Omen a try. Why you ask? First, I had heard it was a coffee shop for bible thumpers. Second, I couldn't grasp the name. If they're religious, why name your shop after a movie that is about Satans child. Once I visited, all of those concerns were pushed aside. As I entered, I was immediately greeted by an associate working behind the bar. It was a generic greeting since I was not a known customer. While I enjoyed my Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, other customers got a greeting with their name. The space is spacious. It's very minimalist and very bright from the large windows. I liked the contemporary furniture. I was also impressed how super clean the entire cafe was. However, what impressed me the most was how inclusive the customers were. I would have never thought a religious coffee shop would be so welcoming to the alternative lifestyle. While I enjoyed my Espresso and Blueberry donut, I also enjoyed the eye candy. I'd say a third of those enjoying coffee and working on their computers play for the same team that I do. To my surprise, one of them was from my past of twenty years ago. So I send a thank-you, to Omen for reconnecting us. Will I be back? When I'm in the area, I'll stop by. I enjoyed my drink and the Blueberry Donut. The service was good and professional. On Saturday mornings, I typically like to try new coffee spots. This week, I came across Omen Coffee and decided to try it as it's only a short distance from where I live. I very much enjoyed it! First and foremost, my coffee was great which is the main priority for me but I was incredibly impressed with the atmosphere! The space was big and open with a cute bar and tons of tables. People were there meeting and working and it just gave off amazing vibes. The workers were so kind as well. There were only two people working so it took a little long but literally it was no problem at all. They apologized for the delay but the vibes in there were so great it truly didn't even phase me. Wow! This is such a welcoming and comfortable spot. This whole place is a vibe. I can see why they were busy on an early Saturday afternoon. Both staff immediately welcomed me as I entered and it was so genuine, like a verbal hug. Kudos to Sarah for being an amazing human. The ambiance is cozy industrial, with a mix of high ceilings, exposed pipes and ductwork, yet lots of plants and comfy seating that supports conversations. There is free street parking but pay attention to the signs regarding parking. Some spots further down the block have meters while others don't. They have a good selection of coffee, cold brew, lattes and non-coffee drinks. My cold brew with coconut cold foam was really yummy. They carry a small selection of baked goods and yogurt/granola bowls. There is a variety of seating: including at the bar, couches, tables that have a padded bench on one side and chairs on the other. There is plenty of space to move around if you are mobility challenged or a wheelchair user. You won't feel cramped here. The bathrooms are gender neutral, pretty, and disabled accessible. I wish this wasn't so far away from me, as I would visit here often. read more

Okay - I'll give it to them. Beautiful coffee shop, clean aesthetic, and lots of great seating. The people who helped us seemed nice, a little off with their interactions, but I didn't think too much about it. Coffee was good but not super memorable. Bathrooms were clean. They were quick in service. BUT as someone who lives a mile from here, I like to look at who owns what in the area and what their vibe is. We want to make sure we're supporting the right owners to grow this beautiful city so we don't have more issues like we had in the Grove in 2020. Big mistake. They have a "Men's Group" every Wednesday which....is super icky. Their whole website is basically preaching God quietly, so you don't realize you're supporting an Uber Christian business. I literally asked my brother if they were a cult. The owner posts some questionable things on his social media that I don't condone and will not be able to support his business over. Please do your research on this spot. I have no ties to his competitors in the area, look at my reviews - I'm a heavy supporter of the local food community and economy, but I do have friends who are in the LGBTQ+ community and this is not a safe place for minorities. read more

They have loungers and couches meant for folks to sit and stay a spell. They probably have WiFi for you to do just that! Whomever is at the register, tall gorgeous brown skin lady knows how to do it! We really enjoyed our stop here during our trip to St. Louis. We ordered breakfast from the neighboring restaurant (biscuit love) and had it delivered over here to eat. They have a large space with various seating options: tables with chairs, couches, and booths. They did an amazing job of decoration. A mix of rich woods, clean white marble with real plants filling in the spaces. Very tasteful and totally my vibe! Love this place. Such a friendly and cozy atmosphere with amazing coffee that's a few blocks away from work downtown. The staff is always welcoming every time I walk in and happy to make my favorite, a cappuccino, which is always great and usually topped with some foam art. Also a huge space with plenty of seating so you can have a conversation with someone without feeling cramped in a smaller spot. This is a spacious coffee shop close to the midtown/downtown area. I came here a couple of nights ago, and I enjoyed my time there. The coffee shop is spacious, and I heard from Mark (the barista) that if the shop gets super busy, they open up the second and the first-floor seating area, but often, the first floor is open daily. When I was there, I ordered an iced caramel latte with a pasty (it was a "morning" pastry; I couldn't remember the full name, lol). The coffee was strong and delicious, and the pasty was good, too. I like the chill vibe of this coffee shop. Many people were there doing their work on their laptops, and it was a reasonably quiet coffee shop. Mark is an excellent barista, and he was super friendly. I highly recommend this place because it's a vibe, but Mark is also a great person to see! read more

As of today, they've now announced that they are no longer allowing any food from the biscuit joint in the coffee shop. Very disappointing to see such a good partnership end; we probably won't be back as there are other really good coffee shops closer to us. read more

Admittedly, I am not a coffee drinker. I simply was grabbing a latte for my partner before I flight. I pulled up just as they were unlocking the doors, first patron of the day. Every worker inside greeted me with exceptional hospitality as if I had just made their year. The interior is contemporary and stylish, but not to the point where you feel out of place if you are not a 23 year old hipster wearing a carhart beanie. Quite the opposite, actually. It's not pretentious at all. Cozy, rather, but still upbeat. The latte my partner got was exceptional. It was rich with brown sugar and caramel notes. Plus, it looked really cool. An awesome little coffee shop that is adjacent to my favorite breakfast in St. louis: The biscuit joint.
