I say 45 min because I actually have no idea when it started. Blue Pearl told me that her insulin was way too high and asked me what I was doing. I let them know that I was following your vet's directions. She said that the way you were testing her and the increases were insane, in that short amount of time. That there was no way to really know how she was doing without properly timed testing. And increasing her dose every two weeks as a result, based on poorly timed tests is what caused her stroke on Tuesday and the horrible seizure today. I would also like you to know that when I called your office around noon today saying my cat was having a seizure, I was offered an appt today at 330. Seriously.? What has happened to my poor cat is horrid and apparently totally avoidable . But instead I was treated like a number on the phone with no care or concern about the situation and no compassion. I'm also out about $1000 this week, if you'd like to reimburse me THAT would be awesome. I would like your vet's to be better schooled in how to treat cats with diabetes and how to treat the pet parents. I lost my cat today because of their lack of how to deal with her illness. If they don't know how to properly test and treat diabetes, I should have been directed to another vet. Instead of overdosing my cat, causing a stroke and a seizure, and ultimately her passing. I do not recommend because they saw my dog for a full appointment, complete with full blood panel, then, two weeks later demanded my dog be seen for another full appointment before prescribing pain treatment for him. When I picked him up, he was completely panicked--jumping, uncontrollable, and clearly not in a condition that felt safe to take home. I questioned it, but was told he was "fine." The next day, he showed significant swelling and signs of pain that didn't seem normal. We were told to text or call with any concerns and that post-op checks would be no charge--but when I reached out, I got no response. Calls were routed elsewhere, and we were essentially ignored during a time that felt urgent. After finally reaching another location, we were told to bring him in immediately. He was prescribed additional medications, but the issues continued--swelling, inflammation, and abnormal discharge. When we returned again, the recommendation was either a costly culture test or to continue the same treatment, despite ongoing symptoms. At that point, we were also told future follow-ups might be charged, which contradicted what we were originally told. The biggest issue here isn't just the complications--it's the lack of communication, responsiveness, and consistency in care. When something goes wrong after surgery, you need to be able to reach your vet and feel supported. That wasn't our experience. I would strongly caution anyone who values reliable post-operative care and communication to think carefully before choosing this clinic.

I am so thankful for AVS for the kindness and compassion my pup received. They allowed me to read from a journal, hold her as long as needed, clipped some fur and gave me a clay imprint of her paw.
