Dr. Gold came in, literally sat on the floor, and let my dog say hi and sit with him. It immediately put both my dog and me at ease--he is truly an animal person. My dog received the vaccines he was due for, had his anal glands expressed, and we discussed future heartworm treatment. Dr. Gold also let me know my dog is healthy with great teeth, and I really appreciated that he never pressured me into anything. That made the entire experience feel comfortable and stress-free. I will definitely be back. I'm so happy to have found our new vet home and forever veterinarian!

It appears she is not happy in her job and she seems like she is disgruntled about something. It definitely shows in her care and job performance. This situation caused me to fall on my right hip breaking the very top of my hip. Surgery for a new hip replacement was necessary. I was kept in the hospital after surgery overnight. The next day I was transported to a recovery center for care and therapy. I had no idea how long I would be there. I was dischaged on September 19th. I was in a panic, "who will take care of my babies?" It happens that I have a contact that works at PET PARADISE located at 1675 W Happy Valley in Phoenix, AZ. She suggested they could board there, and would have the best care ever. I was reluctant because I was not sure how they would react around other dogs because they had very little contact with others. Besides, I thought they would be so sad missing me as I missed them. Well, that was not the case. I could sign in on my cell phone and watch them in certain areas. I could not believe how they interacted with the other dogs. They were playing and wrestling with the others. It was necessary for them to stay there from June 24 to Sept 19 when I was discharged from the care center. Because I could not visit them, I was totally amazed at the great care and attention from employees that cared for my babies. I do not know names of employees because I never had the opportunity to meet them, but I can say they are all GREAT CARING EMPLOYEES THAT LOVE THEIR JOB AND THE ANIMALS LEFT IN THEIR CARE FOR WHATEVER REASON. Grooming is just not good. I do not know why it is so difficult for them. We have brought our dog…read morein multiple times to get groomed and nearly every-time they forget or just neglect an area. This time we put in the notes "focus on paws and sanitary" since that's what they always seem to neglect. I even told them face to face when we went in to focus on those areas. When we picked him up his paws were awful. They said he peed while they were blow drying him so they had to stop. Why would you wash, blow dry, and then come back to trim the paws? That was clearly a lie since we were the ones to bring it up in the first place. He did not get a sanitary trim either and I'm guessing they didn't do the anal gland expression since he left streaks on our couch a day later. When we brought him back so they could finish, the lady behind the counter was pretty rude to the other employee. "Well are they going to pay for it??" The other employee seemed to be taking the blame when she wasn't even the one who trimmed and bathed him the 1st time. I can tell you the reason he peed is because he was caged up for 3 hrs. Yes, he is anxious going in there but the blow dryer didn't scare him. He puts his face right into a leaf blower at home. Then when we brought him back we had to wait 45 min. We have had horrible grooming experiences here. Pay lots of money for minimal effort. Employees seem to be doing the bare minimum and no one is held accountable. Go to Chews 4 Paws down the street and they will take care of your dog 10x better than Petsmart. Plus they don't have attitude.

Susie is very loving and responsible. My dogs adore her! We typically book her for live-in stays, but on occasion we also use her for drop in care. I always receive updates with photos and my dogs always appear relaxed and happy. It makes such a difference having the same person care for my pets, and gives me so much peace of mind. Lisa, the owner, is in tune with all her caregivers. Recently, our flight kept getting delayed and we ended up having to ask Susie to stay longer than anticipated. Once we landed, I let Susie know she could leave as we would be home soon. Before we got home I received an email from Lisa asking me to let her know we made it home so as our dogs were not left without care in the event something delayed us further. We had used other sitters before we found Pick of the Litter, and nothing compares to the care and communication we receive from them. I highly recommend!
