I came in because I saw a few vehicles on their site that I wanted to drive. I called ahead of my visit to ensure someone would be available when I arrived. I was introduced to a nice young man who asked more about my preferences. He went to get the first vehicle and I drove it. It sad not to my liking so I started asking about some of the others I'd seen online. However, none of them were available. He said the inventory online isn't always able to keep up with what's actually on the lot. So we discussed more about my preferences to determine what else they might have for me to drive. He then went off to meet with his manager and bring me back another vehicle to drive. This one was very nice and I was interested in making a deal. Unfortunately, the amount was more than double what I said I would be willing to pay for a vehicle. More than double! He and the manager went on to tell me about how much vehicles cost nowadays. I said that wasn't my concern. I've got no interest in vehicles that are more than double the price I want to pay. So they spoke for a few more minutes and mysteriously the price went down. I didn't want to go back and forth, so I just said I'd try my luck at another time. I had one of the worst car-buying experiences of my life with Shottenkirk Chrysler, specifically dealing with Shawn Donald. For the past week, he has been haggling back and forth with me even though I made it clear from the start that I was ready to close immediately. I presented a pre-approval so we could wrap up the deal quickly and efficiently. He declined it. Later, he lowered the price of the vehicle -- only to tell me that the price would only be honored if I financed through him. Wanting to move quickly (since I had just passed my previous car down and finally found the exact trim and color I wanted at this dealership), I reluctantly agreed. After running my credit, he then claimed there was a fraud alert and said he couldn't proceed unless I came in person. I immediately provided everything requested to verify my identity, including screenshots showing the hard inquiry on my credit report. Despite that, he continued to stall. He then tried to accuse me of not having insurance on my previous auto loan -- which makes absolutely no sense. A vehicle cannot be registered without insurance. I explained that a family member had taken over that previous loan, and therefore I no longer carried insurance on it. Instead of listening, he continued making baseless assumptions. To make matters worse, he has been avoiding my calls entirely. I've been told he "left for the day," only to call back and be told he's still there but "closing" and doesn't want to take my call. That is beyond unprofessional. It's unethical, rude, and feels like a complete attempt to waste my time and leverage my business. He ran my credit for no valid reason, refused to communicate transparently, and dragged this process out unnecessarily. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. We traded a Truck on 4/11 and bought another car from them. On 4/29 our Truck our payment was still not accepted because the finance charge (due to them being late) was another $69. They were that late on making our payoff!!! Our payment would have been reported to the credit bureau soon if we didn't make that extra $69 payment. How is this possible? Do not waste your time. I called ahead of time about a truck that I saw on cars.com to ensure that it was there. I was initially told it was not there, but then received a call back that they had found it. I mentioned the price online and asked if there was any wiggle room as I wanted to pay cash. I was told to set an appointment and come in and they would see what they could do to stay in my range. I told them I did not want to waste anyone's time as I live about an hour away. They assured me they could work with me. When I got there for my appointment, I was told it was finishing being detailed and asked if I could wait a bit.. Then, it was presented to me NOT detailed, not washed, nothing. The tires on the truck were a different set entirely than the ones shown in the listing, but it had the same rims. They were massive "swamp" tires and made the truck drive terribly. I tried to be reasonable and assumed I could change the tires out, so I asked the salesman to get the best pricing possible as I was still considering it. He said there was not any wiggle room really but he said he would be back after speaking to the sales manager. Imagine my surprise when he came back with paperwork for the truck being sold at a price point over $1000 MORE than what it was advertised online--and knowing I was already at the top end of my budget. I could have paid cash even at the higher price if I wanted to, but it is principle of it all to me. I showed the listing and pricing to management and all they could do was apologize for it and refused to do anything about it to make it right. They said the truck had not even been "checked out yet" by the service team and there could be issues that cost over $1000 or more to fix. I find these actions highly unethical and I left was upset as I truly enjoyed my interactions with Eve and "Birdman" and realize it was not their fault, but poor management instead. How sad that a dealership will not honor its online pricing or advertising and that they also tried to bait and switch me with different tires. read more

Brought my Ram 1500 in for an oil change and tire rotation, one wheel had low pressure. Picked it up when it was done and the oil life still said 20% and the low tire had not moved spots on the vehicle. I really don't know if they did anything with it. Went in to see a vehicle listed online, ended up being at a different location. Sales rep claimed he would get it brought over here for us easily. Tried write up a homemade contract that I would buy the car full price if they get it brought over. Told him I am not buying a used car without seeing it in person, then proceeded to tell me I've wasted his time. Offered to drive to the other dealership to look at the vehicle, and he Comes back to tell me sadly the vehicle was just sold to another person and it's un-available and proceeds to try show other vehicles. I did not check the reviews on this place before going, so I went in hopeful. Our frontline sales guy was nice enough, still a sales guy but not overbearingly so. The sales manager was a completely different story though. Like the other reviews, he told us he was "losing money" on a used car sale, even at list price. Weird way to do business but okay. Then he added the $895 "protection plan" that you can't decline, which to their defense is posted in the fine print on their website but is also an absolute and obvious scam. Still, we powered through. We decided to apply for financing on our own (not through them). He first told us that we shouldn't bother because our preferred lender wouldn't finance us because of the miles on the car (weird and also wrong). Then, when we did secure outside financing, he straight up told us he wouldn't sell us the vehicle unless we financed through them - again, because he's "losing money" on the sale and needs the kickbacks from financing. At that point we were so thoroughly insulted that we walked away. Based on the years of negative reviews, sounds like we dodged a bullet. TL;DR - Don't waste your time. They initially tried to get me on financing with somebody but switched it up at the end to make it seem like I was getting a better deal. My credit isn't even bad as I am going to look at other trucks this weekend and have reserved one and it's the same exact truck for wayyyyy better financing terms. When I asked why the price went up $10,000 they gave me some trash response. Do not come here. I accompanied my husband to his appointment with "Duck", who in all honesty is very nice and willing to put in the time and effort to make his customers as happy as possible. However, the dealerships gratuitous bait and switch practices are less than to be desired. Not to mention the fast talk they use for their numbers. The only good thing I have to say about that is the fact they make you wait so long in between putting together their scheister "deals" it actually gives you the time to figure out what is going on. I dropped off my Pacifica hybrid for 3 issues that were under warranty wen I was leaving for a week of vacation. I got no phone calls about the status, they never called me back after repeated attempts to get an update, and when I picked up my car, nothing had been done. They said they just ordered a part and it will be in the next day. (After a week!) So now I have to take time off of work to go back up there for a third and fourth time. They didn't even let me have a courtesy car until they got it fixed. Worst yet, they didn't even apologize or take responsibility for dropping the ball. Tried to purchase a used car. I was handed off to 5 different people. It took a month to finalize a simple $17,000 purchase. I offered to pay cash but they wanted me to finance. I agreed to their terms then they charged me $600 for a bogus premium 6 month warranty protection of glass and paint protection. Also charged me extra sales tax fees and other add on fees then sent false information to my credit union. I purchase one or two cars each year and have a credit rating over 840. Of the cars I have purchased, this is by FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP I have ever dealt with in my 50 years of buying cars. This is the dealer who gives car dealers a bad name. I had a warranty issue and a recall that needed to be fixed on my truck. So I spent three weeks setting it up to where it could all be done at the same time, making sure they had the parts and everything. Then after they had my truck for three days, they said they were only able to fix the warranty issue because "one of our mechanics was sick" Fast forward several weeks and had another issue caused by the recall not being fixed. They had my truck for five days and said it was repaired. I drove it 3 miles down the road and the same issue happened. Now I can't get a return phone call. These people need to understand that some of us use our vehicles for our livelihood and they need to provide either a rental or a loaner!!!!! read more

So I went to this dealer to look for another vehicle. I traded in a 19 Lariat which was in excellent shape with low miles. I traded for a 2020 BMW 840 I. They sold me the car and I spent 85,000 for it. a day later the lights start coming on, low oil, low coolant. They said it was just services some 125 point inspection, (bullS--- I called 4 times about this and they never called back. 4 months later still have not called back. When I purchased the car I had ask what the value of the car would be in a year, they told me about 70,000. Today the cars is worth 55,000 and only has 20,000 miles 5000 more than when I bought it. They are not honest and the service department seems to be lacking the client services required by a dealer. Honestly I would not buy anything from them ever again. The worst experience purchasing a vehicle. I arrived 10 minutes early to my appointment but they kept me waiting for 30 more minutes. I had to go to the receptionist to ask. Meanwhile several employees were standing nearby doing nothing. It took over 3 hours to purchase a car that I was already leasing. Also at the third hour, they tried to quote me a higher loan rate after I was promised a lower one in the beginning of the transaction. Hoping I was tired from the wait?
