This dealership is the biggest freaking joke!!!! I bought my car from them in January of 2019. I was ripped off on the price and interest rate, belittled and degraded by the finance manager, and given the runaround by the POS GM that I had to deal with. My car did not get a detail (or even a "hose-off" when I bought it. I have taken it for service 3 additional times and they have had it for a collective 10 days (over the course of all service appointments) and was supposed to have a detail 3 different times in the course of each stay. It still hasn't happened. The service manager told me (on Saturday at my last service appointment) to call today (Monday) for my detail. I did. Got the runaround again and had to deal with an extremely rude woman in the service department. I was told the only option I had was to call every day between 5-6 pm to see if there was a loaner car available for me, so I could bring my car the following day for the detail I have been promised (for over a year now) and still haven't received. It's bad business, bad costumer service, and bad attitude. If I could give negative stars on a review, I would definitely do so for Shottenkirk Ford of Jasper. read more

The entire process of purchasing a vehicle from Shottenkirk Ford was a hassle. The only bright spot in an otherwise frustrating transaction was the Finance guy Max, that dude is genuine and down to earth. Lets start from the beginning: I attempt to reach out to Shottenkirk 4-5 times only to get jerked around and no calls back, even from the Sales Manager himself. I finally reach a salesman who will take my call after telling them they were losing my business. Buying process goes okay, I was quoted some rates over the phone that were not true once making the drive but I excepted that. The dealership knows nothing about the car at all, I guess that's okay as it was a different brand car but I mean 0 effort in learning anything about the vehicle. (Salesman didn't even know how to operate basic functions). One of the salesman's also joyrode the car quite a bit from what I can tell, his name is saved in the infotainment with the speed metrics to prove it. But the worst part of this transaction is still being felt and still underway. I bought this car 9 weeks ago. I still haven't received my perm tag, I've checked in the salesman every few weeks only to be told its coming, its coming. TODAY I get a call letting me know in fact nothing has EVER been done with my paperwork and that they will begin the process... Today... 9 weeks later. On-top of that the lady who calls me lets me know that she has never once looked into my case as she never knew I was checking in with my salesman. Meanwhile I've been pulled over for an expired temp tag and my salesman has been lying to me for 9 weeks. I will never buy a car from here again, I would advise anyone I know to avoid this place. This dealership displayed continuous lack of communication and functionality. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go under. The best part is the salesman lying to me, saying that its completely normal to get my perm tag 10 weeks later. They most likely assumed based on my age that I should have no knowledge on the process. I knew 4 weeks in something was wrong and that's why I reached out. Avoid this place if you value your time, money and sanity. In my state you must have your tag to apply for a custom one. So I'm looking at 2-3 months to get a plate on my car. Wonderful. read more

I HATE car shopping. Over my fifty-something years I've had some extremely painful experiences dealing with car salesmen. Yesterday, however, I accompanied my oldest son to Shottenkirk where he bought his first new (to him) car. He is now the proud owner of a 2013 Ford Fusion and the buying experience was relatively painless and almost totally enjoyable. Janet, our salesperson was a pleasure to work with and Alex who did the paperwork did a great job as well. Horrible customer service. Our Ford Explorer broke down a half of a mile down the interstate from the dealership on Labor Day. Their service department wasn't open on Labor Day- only the Sales Department. After walking down the road in 90 degree heat being pregnant and with my older mother, we walked into the store to wait for a tow truck to tow our car there. We were over an hour away from our home and was asking the receptionist if she knew of anyway she could help us get home. There were no Uber's or LYFT drivers we could get. No taxi service open, no car rental places open, nothing. We asked if we could lease a rental car from them for a couple of hours to get us home to our other car and the owner said no. We didn't buy our car there. We were getting service there the next day! There were 10 sales guys just standing around doing nothing listening to our conversation and not one guy offered to help us. We eventually walked Across the major hwy to the gas station to buy some oil and see if that would help out car start. You would think someone would offer us a ride since it's a pregnant lady and a older lady in 90 degree heat on a major hwy.... NOPE! Think again! I have never met such a disgraceful group of men in my life at a place we were going to give our service to. Worst customer service ever. read more

Don't waste Your time. I spoke with the sales manager Ryan previous to driving an hour to work a deal on an Expedition. His "offer" was close to 10,000 over what we discussed. Additional pricing add ons, low trade in values,etc. It's a typical setup of sales manager hiding in the office and sending helper out with offers. Had the sales manager been upfront and also available during negotiations perhaps a different outcome. Not worth the trip. read more

I used to do business when they were Vernie Jones and am a loyal Ford customer. Drive a blue oval exclusively. But what has happened there since Shottenkirk has taken over has been a mixed bag and mostly not for the good. Today was the end. Brought my F350 diesel in and told them exactly the issue. The EGR valve was bad. Asked for a price if it could be removed and replaced or worse case scenario if the cab had to be lifted and whole assembly replaced. Never got a price after it was there 24 hours. Then I told them it had a lower cooking hose leak. They fixed that. When I showed up to claim my car they had a charge of $99 to diagnose the EGR issue and a note that I refused them repair. I never received a price for the repair to make a decision much less they were told the issue and what the fix was by myself. Do yourself a favor. Head to Ellijay and see Ronnie Thompson or down to Woodstock and see Dave Beers at the old Cherokee Ford. At first I thought they were a drive but after today, probably worth it. read more

Just bought at 2014 used Toyota Camry here a couple of weeks ago. Very positive car dealership experience (especially after dealing with a nightmare situation at Rick Hendrick Toyota earlier the same day). The staff here was accommodating, genuine, friendly, and offered a very fair price on the car I bought. I made an offer, they countered with their bottom line, I slept on it, and they honored the bottom line offer when I returned the following day. They included a dealership warranty for major issues, which when buying a used car, is a great perk. I'd highly recommend Shottenkirk Ford for purchasing a used car. read more

My wife and I bought a new 2018 Edge form Shottenkirk on February 24th 2018. We love the car, it has not had any problems. But the dealership is another story. I wanted a Ford extended warranty and not an aftermarket warranty. After many years of working in dealership garages I discovered the Ford warranty was good and the aftermarket warranties are not so good. When we were buying the car I asked about the Ford warranty and they said "we are not supposed to sell those" O.K. this is a Ford dealership and I cant buy a Ford warranty?? So after a lot of further discussion they agreed to sell me a Ford warranty for $5935 and I bought it. Then I got home and got to thinking about this, then called another dealer the next day. They told me I could cancel the warranty in writing, then come to their dealership and they would sell me the exact same warranty for $3535 even though I didn't buy my car from them. So I did and pocketed $2400. Shottenkirk should be run out of town for doing their customers this way. I will never darken their door again. I have always been a "Ford guy" and still am a Ford guy, but I will take my business somewhere else next time. read more

I purchased a certified pre owned truck from here in June with extra warranty and gave good ratings . Since then I have had two things come up with the truck that needed attention . Not one time has this placed helped with what needed fixed . That being said their great at getting you in a vehicle but the customer service after the sale is terrible . read more

Mostly regarding service, no real problems buying a car at this dealership, but the service experience is not good. Most of my service experience involves oil change and tire rotation, probably the most common service need in maintaining a new vehicle. When I purchased the new truck, I included prepaid oil change and rotation service. They made it sound like it was a great deal, however getting the service performed is not very convenient. When I made the purchase you were allowed to make an appointment for the oil change. Shorty afterward they changed the oil change policy and did not allow appointments, even for those like me who paid upfront for this service. The last couple of oil changes I proceeded with the new policy of walking and trying to get an oil change. On two occasions I made the trip from Canton to Jasper only to find them too busy to get me in at a reasonable timeframe. I really didn't start putting all the pieces together until today. This dealership is significantly understaffed to handle the most routine of services such as an oil change and rotation. Additionally, I found out today they changed the policy again back to the appointment method, I found this out from the reception staff when trying to discuss this topic with the GM, he was with a customer. At 1:20 I was at the dealership and told they were slammed but not much had come in in the last hour and if I waited it would be an hour before starting and an hour to do the job. I decided to try back later. On the way out I wanted to talk with the GM regarding the inability to get into service, that's when I found out about the change in policy back to the appointment format. This is about 1:30, I though I would just do a late lunch, call back in for an appointment and do the oil change. It was close to 1:40 when I made through to service on the phone, I requested next available oil change appointment and was told 4pm was the next available. Keep in mind this just a few minutes after the time I was at the dealership and could have had my truck begin the service process around 2:15. So the lunch plan and going in afterward for service was not feasible. Bottom Line: This dealership obviously trains the service staff to let customers know it is not a convenient time anytime you go there. So as I am considering my next new truck, I try to get one about every two and half years, I am best served to just stay in Canton and buy one there. read more

Being a serious Mustang enthusiasts I decided to buy the 2015 GT Convertible. I went to Shottenkirk Ford and delt with the GM and a current sales representative. We found the vehicle I wanted in Ohio. We made the deal and they sent an employee after the car. The vehicle arrived 2 days later. I was advised it was ready to pickup and against better judgement and getting off of an 18 hour work day, I went ahead. When arriving it was dark and the car did not show all the problems. I signed the paperwork and left. The next day turned into a bad dream. I found this car had been hit in the left rear HARD. I started calling the dealership and that's when the lack of customer service began. I was told by the GM that he told me about this. Lie #1. Then he told me he was working on the problem. Lie #2. This went on for about 3 weeks. I finally made a last call. He did not return the call. I called the sales representative. He did not call me back. Surprise! I sent an email to the GM and his boss advising of the problem and my demand for replacement. I gave them 10 days. On the 8th day, I received a call from the regional Mgr. He said they were working on it. I advised him I had not heard anything from anyone. 10 minutes later the GM called. He told me the same thing. I told him the day number and said no problem as long as the car was here by day number 10. Day 10, the car arrived. I looked at this car long and hard. I accepted the vehicle. I thought the problem was over. I drove the car approx 4500 miles. It had a terrible brake noise. I went into service and left the car. They even commented on how bad it sounded. 2 days later they called and said they could not duplicate the problem. I picked it up and the car made the noise when leaving. I backed up and they said once again how bad it sounded. I dropped the car off again and once again left with no resolve. I replaced the pads and have not had an issue since. My statement: I have never been treated like this in my career. I was lied to, treated like an idiot, and simply felt like I was a 1 time hit. The sales team is still there, service Mgr still there. If I were on the market for a new vehicle, it would not be from shottenkirk Ford . I live in Jasper and get my service done in Woodstock. Buyers beware! read more
