After Shottenkirk Honda changed the recalled fuel pump in my Honda Pilot, an "Emissions System…read moreProblem" warning appeared as soon as I drove it off their lot. I returned to the dealership the same day and explained that this was the first time I had seen this warning, which only appeared after the fuel pump was replaced. I asked them to clear the code, thinking that would resolve the issue. The service technician informed me that the fuel pump might have been installed incorrectly and said they would fix it. I left my Honda Pilot with them, assured that the problem would be resolved. Later, they called to inform me that my purge valve needed to be replaced for $300--and that this issue was completely unrelated to the fuel pump replacement. I explained that the purge valve and fuel pump are indeed connected in the Honda Pilot. I have spoken with other mechanics who wholeheartedly agree that these components are connected. My mechanic cleared the error code, but when it returned, the code indicated an issue with the evaporative control system purge flow. The evaporative control system (EVAP) prevents gasoline vapors from escaping the fuel tank into the atmosphere. The P04F1 code for Honda vehicles indicates that low purge flow has been detected in the evaporative emission system. This system is responsible for controlling and capturing fuel vapors to reduce emissions. The purge valve may wear unevenly and intermittently stick, resulting in a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) related to the evaporative emission system purge flow malfunction. There were no error codes on my car when I gave it to them, and I believe there should be no codes when I get it back. Why do I now have the codes PO4F1 and PO441? However, they are refusing to pay for their mistake. What should I do? Update: In response to my last review, Shottenkirk offered me an opportunity to call and resolve the issue. However, after holding for ten minutes, I was only asked for my information and assured that someone would call me back. If they are genuinely interested in resolving this matter, they already possess all the necessary details to reach me, including the date, my name, and my car information that I provided in my recap of the situation. It's clear that they would rather focus on maintaining a positive public image online rather than directly addressing this issue. This approach is unacceptable. Update: I received a call back offering to trade in my vehicle. While I appreciate the offer, it is not necessary. I will not be purchasing from Honda Shottenkirk again, as they cannot fix their own mistakes

Day 1 not touched, Day 2 said they were diagnosing problem Day 3 said they were ordering part and it would be ready next day. Day 4 now they say they are waiting on approval from warranty company. Day 5 they say I can come get car the part is on back order, and they will call when it comes in. A week later I make an appointment. Got to dealer at opening. After 4 hours they inform me it's the wrong part, and they disconnected the switch, so the sunroof wouldn't open. Saturday the sunroof opened and because they had disconnected the switch now the roof can't be closed. Monday back to this sorry service dept. 6 hours later car hasn't been touched. 5 hours ago the service advisor said they were pulling it in. Nothing but lies and unqualified technician. Drive a 100 miles to avoid this place, because it will be the worst experience you'll ever have.

Absolutely nothing positive to say about their service department. Woman was rude from the start,…read morethey were inconsiderate of my time and found nothing wrong with my truck when coolant was visibly leaking out of it. Not to mention being hung up on after finally getting ahold of them 8 hours after dropping it off and multiple attempts to get the status of my vehicle when it wasn't supposed to take more than an hour or so. Their mechanic was "looking at my truck" for hours and I called to see what was going on and they said they are still running tests on it, so I pulled up to check as I was on the phone with them telling me this and it was parked in the lot not being looked at with the mechanic sitting around chatting with his buddies. Took it to another Ram and their service department found a major leak within one hour. Such a waste of time bringing my truck here.
