Started out as cool guys ...... Ended as a nightmare ! Was pointed to these guys by a friend so I checked them out for an install on a 7" FTS lift on my wife's Silverado . There was an ad on craigslist stating that they had the lifts for $1266 which i have a screen shot of so it's not just word of mouth . So we start off with Alex at the front desk which WAS very helpful with choosing what we wanted . I said I would put 900 down and Alex told me all I needed to put down was 250 so I said ok lets do that . My card was swiped for 900 anyways but oh well thats just more towards my lift so screw it . This was at the end of May and Alex said that they were booked the following few weeks in june and we were cool with that . August came around and we got busy with our new home so we shot for september . We took the truck in tuesday evening so they would have it all day wednesday to get it done . My wife stressed to them that she needed her truck by Friday morning so she could pick our kids up . She called thursday and they said it was on the rack and would be ready for her in the morning . So she calls them friday at 11am and they say it's almost done and on the rack . Sent one of my friends that was in the area over there and he sends us a picture of her truck dusty as hell and still in the same parking spot she left it in . She headed down there and demanded her keys . Her and the owner had words . Can't get my money back and I refuse to let these people touch my truck . We even offered to just buy the lift uninstalled for the craigslist ad installed price and Billy refused to budge . He wanted to charge me for labor that was never done and for powder coat that Alex told me was free because they order the kits raw . They were super nice up until the day they got caught in lies . Couldn't even produce a powder coated red lift to show my wife when she got there . I'll stop all this when you're ready to make things right Billy!!! Printing out papers for court as we speak... These guys did some repair work on a lift kit that was previously installed on my truck. I ended up meeting some other things and they were super cool about working with me on the price. They were very fair and they were the only place it could seem to do the correct alignment on my truck to make it drive straight. He was able to answer all my questions and after I made an appointment I told him that if there were any cancellations to call me. These guys are good. I've been a customer for over the last year; I wouldn't consider having anyone else work on my truck. I recently purchased new forged wheels, and couldn't be happier. Alex and James run the counter area.. these guys are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. The shop guys are also friendly and treat your vehicle as if it were their own. Before going to Showoff, I had taken my truck to a shop in the Sacramento area, and was very un-pleased with the results. Not to mention - there was something to be desired in the customer service area of that shop. I knew right away, I had to find a new shop, and someone who values their customers. These guys are it. It's a bit of a drive for me to get towards the south end of Modesto - but I certainly don't mind the distance when I go there. The quality of their work is consistently exceptional.. I've had a few minor issues with some aftermarket parts in the past; and these guys go above and beyond to make it right. Anyone can sell you a product; not everyone treats their customer like a personal friend. That's the difference. The owner himself is a solid guy. I went to the Riverbank shop for a small job of mounting 2 car tires on rims after being turned away from 2 tire places. I talk to the technician who was very polite and helpful. He advised he was finishing up another customers job but could mount the tires in an hour in a half if I wanted to come back for them. I can't express how grateful I was for this technician (I wished I would of ask for his name). Customer service from this young man was top notch for such a small job which he did not have to do.
