I've been coming to SWAT Customs for years to get my 4 x 4's worked on. Speaking to the owner, George and the manager Brian we talked about doing a LS3 swap in my 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass that I've known all my life. The car was owned by my grandfather originally who bought it new and used it to sell Gallo wine out of the trunk to liquor stores. It was a big undertaking, but they took on the challenge. Made an appointment here a few months back to have a roof rack installed on my truck, and drove over an hour to get there, only to arrive and be told that most of their guys had called in or weren't there that day, and that they couldn't get the job done in a reasonable time. Told them that these issues weren't my problem, and that I had driven a considerable distance to come there. The least they could have done would have been to call and let me know beforehand. After I expressed my disappointment, they ended up calling someone in to do the work, so I waited around another 1-2 hours for the work to be done, which ended up being a waste of my time because they told me the roof rack didn't fit because it was meant for Quad Cab and I have an Xtracab. Gathered my parts and drove home wondering how I had gotten my order mixed up, only to discover once I opened the box and went through the parts myself that I had indeed ordered the correct size for an Xtracab. I'm not sure if the guy didn't know what he was doing or just wanted to get rid of me, but either way the whole experience was very negative. Other people seem to have had good experiences here so who knows? But that wasn't the case for me at all. Complete waste of my time and gas. Edit: I'm not sure how you guys managed to confirm that, because I called CBI/Prinsu myself and they confirmed it WAS for Xtracab. Maybe the person you spoke to was confused? Only discovered this because I was getting ready to sell the rack at a loss, but figured I'd double-check the parts to make sure, because these racks aren't cheap and I was upset about potentially losing money on it. It's even cut specifically for the slightly raised roof of the Xtracab. All your guy had to do was hold the piece up to see that. I took your word for it because I figured you guys do this for a living and knew better than I did. read more

Came in to swat customs with an idea of how I wanted my truck to come out. Asked if they could make it happen they said no problem. Got a 6.5 bds coilover kit and kryptonite steering kit. Some 24x14 hostile demons n venom tires. Wanted it powder coated blue and they delivered on it. Only thing thay wen wrong was I got a lil knick on my cv boot n greas was flinging everywhere but I just let em know nnthey fixed it no problem and really quick. I am extremely satisfied with how my truck came out n the work they put in on it to make it happen. Would definitely recommend you take your vehicle here. SWAT Customs in Galt is where you'll want to go for a suspension lift on your vehicle. Brian and the team there did an excellent job with adding a DPG Off-road OME lift to my 99 Jeep Cherokee Limited. I've never experienced this superior level of consultation, status updates and communication from a garage, usually it is me calling (and often hounding) them instead ..This is not the case at SWAT. Brian looped me in at every step and decision point and I felt like he cared for my Jeep as much as I do! Contacted 4 businesses for estimates to install a MetalCloak Game Changer 3.5" lift kit, as well as to balance and align 5 beadlocked tires. Bryan replied to my quote request within the hour and was not only responsive, but thorough in working with my needs. Pricing was very competitive, and they were accommodating on working with my scheduling needs. When install day arrived, we realized that I didn't have the correct spline nuts for the job. Swat had them available, and more importantly they did not price gouge someone who clearly needed them right then and there. Installation was completed within the promised time, and staff was extremely helpful in cataloging all the take-off parts that I requested to be saved. At around the 1k mark, I took my jeep back in for an alignment inspection - which was included as part of the install. Everything appeared well installed and nothing needed adjustments. Today, I just hit the 3k mark, so it's time for a review. I've had no problems with the work Swat completed, and I will return for all of my future needs that require more than my abilities.
