What can I say? First of all....the pies are amazing...but if you stop and spend a little chat with Sherry, her hippie soul can be felt in her pies!!! I've been getting pies for several years when we come for spring break...I generally have someone else pick it up...this year however; I got the opportunity to pick it up...and a day later than I was supposed to ...Sherry had a fresh hot apple pie ready for me and some epsome salts to soak after a nasty fall on the slopes snowboarding (turns out I broke my tailbone)...she has some fabulous stories about skiing back in her day...this place is a gem for sure....thank you Sherry for caring about all the strangers that drive through....youre a beautiful souls my friend! This business HAS to be a laundering scheme. For starters, the food is outrageously expensive, at 8 dollars a slice for the only option of mixed berry, the food was inedible. The crust was stale, thick, and chewy; the filling was mushy, bland, and lacking any and all flavor. But I'm no pie connoisseur, so I won't comment on the flavor. I will, however, comment on the presentation and price. The Pie, which was about as long as my credit card and about half as tall, was wrapped in plastic wrap on a paper plate. It was smushed down onto the plate, and there was a HAIR on the pie. The pies EACH range from $40-$50, and a slice of pie (which only comes in one "flavor of the day") is $8. You could buy all the ingredients for a full, flavorful pie for $5, or I could just go buy a King Soopers FULL SIZED PIE for $15. Incredibly disappointing, this is an IRL Breaking Bad episode because I can't imagine that business not being a SCAM. read more

Wow this little gem has pies that are SO worth the price! Best apple pie we ever had! Wish we could take her pot pie or lasagna home with us but it won't make it back to IL. They do have slices of pie too- so you don't have to eat a whole one! When we come back to the mountains we will be getting another pie! Oh they sell till they are out for the day so get there early for the best selection!! read more

How is it possible to live in Grand County for 6 years and never have tried Drive By Pie? I've never been much of a pie kind of girl but now I am so glad I went to Sherry's window and ordered the Killer Apple Pie! We ordered it for Thanksgiving along with the Green Chili Cheese Bread and Cinnamon Raisin Bread. She has more than just pie!!!! Try the take and bake meals. Now I stop by Sherry's window every time I am in Granby. We love her breakfast burritos. Keep in mind they are frozen to take home and heat up later. We order the green chili too. My favorite is the green chili cheese bread! I purchased loaves for Christmas gifts too. The Cinnamon Raisin bread makes yummy french toast. Her meatloaf is yummy too. I love the convenience of picking up dinner and not having to cook. Sherry is really friendly and gives a complimentary cookie with our purchase. Bring cash because it is cash only. read more

It was SO amazing to meet Sherry! She is one of a kind, and so are her amazing pies!! We were new in Granby (just moved) and she was so absolutely welcoming, we called the "emergency pie" number and she was right there to help us out! She gave us the lay of the land, recommendations for places to go and eat, shops to visit, and how to stay safe in Granby during the mercurial Spring and Fall weather. I'd pay $30+ just for her advice lol! Thank you Sherry for your immense kindness, and thank you doubly for your delicious pies. We got a blueberry, killer apple and the green chili apple. I cooked the blueberry shortly on arrival at home, and wow!! I've never had such a pie. The pies have a very thick (no skimping here!!) and KILLER delicious crust so you may have to bake a little longer depending on how you like your pies, I like mine a little on the crispier side. The blueberries are very obviously from Maine (as stated on the menu), and you won't get any cloyingly sweet flavors from the filling. This pie is PACKED with fruit and has more of a savory flavor, which is really nice because it lets you taste the fruit. I'm all in for Sherry's pies!! We will be back again and again for sure! read more

We got the Michigan Cherry Pie on the 4th of July and I was so excited to have a fresh cherry pie. The price was shocking ($54+$4=$58) and the crust was not the flaky crust you hope for in a cherry pie. It was instead hick and just not very good. I wish I could say we loved it, but alas, it was an overpriced disappointment. read more

First time visiting Colorado and came across this ADORABLE drive thru pie shop!!!!!! You have to call the number to place your order and then they come up to the window to give you your items. We each got a slice of the mixed berry pie and it was absolutely scrumptious!! We also got ourselves a take-and-bake chicken pot pie which was huge!! The woman at the window gave us instructions on how to cook it before we took off, she was super sweet and grateful that we stopped by. I cannot wait to come back to CO and try more pie! read more

We drove by just about 40 minutes before closing so there weren't a ton of options left. We decided on the wild Maine blueberry but didn't realize they wanted us to pay in cash. We didn't have $46 in cash and her Venmo was down. She nicely offered to let us mail her a check but we had checks with us so all was settled. The Maine Blueberry pie was very good. Crust was perfect. Our Killer Apple pie was not thoroughly baked. It was obvious when I opened the box. The crust was very doughy on bottom. It was not edible without re-baking it again. I am glad we were staying where this was possible. The pie was ok when it came out of the oven the second time. Filling was very good. read more

$40 + pie in the middle of Nowhere, Colorado!?! Realllllly? Pick it up by drivin' up to the window in the alley?!? Reallllly? No shop? No display? Nothin' but a little slidey open window and a price list, saying things like "Green Chile Apple Pie" $30 (so good, it's always sold out), and "Chocolate Pecan Pie" $45. Yup. That's "Drive-By Pie" in down-home Granby, a sure fire stop on the way to Grand Lake and the west side entrance to Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. When finished pickin' up your pie, stop on across Main St at the Grand River Coffee Co drive-by shack for an also delicious bit of drive-by Grand, CO cuisine. It's all weird, fun and good eatin' in the middle of God's Country, USA. read more

Hands down the best experience I had in a long long time. Not only are the pie's that we got really good, but the owner such a delight. A slight little issue with our first pie we got, but Sherry took care of it the very next day. Highly recommend trying this place out. Yum. Homemade Pie! Had to try the Green Chili Apple pie. It's the most popular so come early. They were all out of fresh on this kind so agreed to a recent frozen one. Called ahead around 4pm and picked up within 30 minutes at drive thru window for $25. Fun concept...drive thru pie! Took back to the condo and placed it in the oven for 30 minutes at 300. It was sooo good. I dislike crust but this pie crust was soft, light, flakey and yummy. Best apple pie I have ever had. Not spicy... but a very unique flavor that still evokes traditional apple pie. Topped with vanilla ice cream. Heaven. Perfect after a ski day. read more

An extremely unique idea. Perfect for a drive-through city. We got the chocolate pecan. I am not a fan of chocolate, so to me, the pie was okay. It was made in celebration of Easter. The pies, which can only be bought in its entirety, except summer months, are pretty expensive. The chocolate pecan pie was about $40 altogether, but it did feed about 10 people. Sherry, the owner, knows everyone in nearby towns! She knows Colorado well, and was very friendly and helpful. read more

Delicious! A great old fashioned concept. Drive up to the window and buy a pie. The owner Sherry was a delight. We are staying in Fraser and decided to drive to Granby and saw the sign for drive by pies. We bought the killer apple pie. Very tasty and fresh. We stopped by multiple times during our stay in granby. The Apple pie is the best I've ever tasted. They also had chocolate chip butterscotch cookies that were absolutely divine! We didn't know it was cash only until after we ordered so the owner told us to take our treats and come back to pay. She is the nicest lady and makes such yummy desserts! read more

We pulled up close to closing, but were still able to get a great mixed berry slice of pie and a giant cookie. They were both a delicious treat after a long day at RMNP. If you want a truly unique, small town, delicious experience, do not miss Drive-By Pie! Owned by Sherry, a.k.a. Showboat to the locals due to her epic skiing skills, this special little place bakes the best pie you've ever had! We were visiting friends who live in Granby and know Showboat and her pies well- lucky for us they had procured a peach pie for our dessert. Wowza! We loved it so much we went by the quaint little pie house next day for a second taste after a big hike! What a pleasure to meet Sherry in person- she and her pies are the sweetest! Rumor has it she's a big supporter of her community, regularly catering youth events on her dollar. Anyway, I had a slice of blueberry and my boyfriend had apple- between the three we got to try it was hard to pick a fave- all were so delicious! Some might say that the pies are a bit pricey, but remember that they are baked in the mountains with the freshest local ingredients- not cheap overhead or supplies! Go see Showboat and get a slice or better yet, splurge for the whole pie! I promise it'll be a quirky small mountain town delicious experience! read more

Really loved this small-town business! Drive through was a fun experience & the pie lady was so sweet. We asked her what the slice of the day was. She said "apple". We then realized she only sold whole pies & couldn't decide on a flavor so we asked her what her specialty was. She said "apple". Lol. We ended up choosing the Main Blueberry pie & also got 1 slice of apple to try. She was very sweet & threw in some extra plates, forks & napkins for the road. Both were delicious! Homemade crust was great! Only thing is, the blueberries were so fresh & juicy that after cutting the first slice, the juices filled the entire pie tin & made the rest of the entire pie crust soggy. read more

We all FOUGHT over the last piece of apple green chili pie. And I never thought I'd say it, but the crust was better than my top-shelf sister's. Magic. Melty mouth magic. We also tried a pumpkin pie but there was no "last piece" to fight over so I never got to have some. I thought, $28 per apple pie ... hooey! Then I tasted it. Could not recommend this any higher. Yum. We were only visiting close family in Granby, but I can dream about it from California. Sigh. read more
