All I can see is wow wow excellent excellent. Delicious food far exceeded our expectations and probably the best food in winter Park. Nice, small, quaint cozy somewhat romantic setting with absolutely delicious food and drinks. Very high-quality food better than we expected was going to be high in the mountains. Great service extremely friendly very helpful. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place probably the best place in Winter Park and we have tried almost every restaurant here. Gives all the top high rated distillery restaurants a run for their money with better tasting food!!! If you're looking for a really really good food definitely go here.

Such a cute place! It's in the back of the lot and small place (only 7 tables), so you might want to call ahead during busy time for a reservation. Went here during birthday trip and had THE BEST Paella! Our waiter was very attentive and superhepful with explaining the specials. Soo tasty! Got churros from desert, jumped in and forgot to take a picture. Stop in and enjoy!

This was by far one of the best meals I've had in a long time at any restaurant. I loved the soup and it was by far the best soup I've ever had I think in my entire life. The paella was so delicious, and I can't believe it has taken me this long to get to this restaurant. Miguel, my server, was lovely and convinced me to come back to try one of the Angus steak dishes. I will probably be back on Friday before I head back down to the front range!

UNDESIRABLE PRACTICES AND SERVICES? This would probably have been a 2-3 stars review if I were to write this before receiving my credit card bill, and I'll highlight a few things for the audiences' considerations. Food quality is not bad overall (say... 2.5 to 3.5 stars depending on the dish). "Ceviche de Pescado" was our favorite dish - fish was fresh and the lime juice was well balanced. "Robalo a la Plancha" (Grilled Chilean Sea Bass) was decent, and "Paella Mediterranea" was sadly quite overcooked. Then, there were a few areas where I had to deduct some points which unfortunately made it an 1-star review at the end. 1. Customer Service - While our server had a big smile at all time, she checked in with us with the "are you ready to order" question way too often and we felt her focus was to give our table to the next group of potential customers ASAP. (Side note: We made reservation a few weeks in advance, so it shouldn't be a situation where they squeezed us in their busy schedule.) At a point I was annoyed and ordered an appetizer (the ceviche) hoping she would leave us alone and gave us a chance to read the rest of the menu uninterrupted. That didn't help...... and the tipping point was when she stopped by literally within a minute after the ceviche was served (and I was putting the first bite in my mouth). As you'd imagine, this sort of killed our mood. We finished our meal and left in one hour. 2. Undesirable Business Practices a) Sparkling or Still - Shortly after we were seated, our server came by with two bottles in her hands and asked "sparkling or still". I know they're not the only restaurant that uses this sales tactic (to only outline chargeable options) these days, but it still annoys me... And quite frankly, it would have been perfectly fine if they asked "sparkling, still, or TAP WATER" instead. b) AUTOMATIC 20% Gratuity: We noticed a 20% gratuity was added to our bill. Again, they're not the only one doing this, but most other places would have informed the customers clearly on such policy. In this case, our server didn't mention this at all and the only reference was just some "fine prints" at the bottom of the menu (and I wonder how many customers might have missed that). 3. Incorrect credit card charges - When I received my credit card statement, I noticed the amount was higher than my record. Upon reviewing the numbers, I found the discrepancy was equal to the 20% gratuity amount. In other words, an attempt was made to charge me 40% gratuity in total...... While I was able to dispute via the bank (i.e. no financial loss), I wonder why the overcharging happened in the first place. For audiences' reference, below summarizes the key fields on the bill and I feel I've done what I can to avoid potential mis-understanding and errors: - Amount: Pre-filled by restaurant with full amount INCLUDING 20% gratuity - Additional Tip: I drew a diagonal line across this field - Total: I re-wrote the number from the "Amount" field above Hopefully our experience was an one-off "perfect storm" situation, and I sincerely hope others will have a much more enjoyable dining experience.

We enjoyed the fine dining here yesterday. The restaurant is cozy and relatively intimate. However they still welcome kids and babies. The staffs were super friendly and accommodating. The food is top notch. It is pricey but the food and service made up for it. We had the seafood paella and the Mediterranean paella. My kids had the fish and lamb chop. All of them were delicious. It's worth the splurge if you are in town.

This restaurant is so lovely in winter park! The service was very attentive - the chef/owner himself came out. The soup was so so amazing - it was a remy from ratatouille soup moment! Do not hesitate to get it! We got the potatoes as well which were yummy and my husband and I shared a beef dish. Everything we had here was yummy - but just watch that they do bottled water/fiji water here so the bill racked up! The vibes are intimate, lovely and nice!

Reservations are a must and the vibe was intimate with low ceilings and dim lighting. Spacing between tables was generous and the noise level was low enough for conversations. It appears that we are in store for a nice evening. We elected to try the tapas dishes and share as we get a better variety and chance to sample many different selections. We started with the croquetas de jamon. The croquetas were light, airy and uncious with a hint of the jamon. The betabel tostada was the blue ribbon winner tonight. The pickled beets were finely chopped, great homemade beet and masa tostada, black bean puree, chili oil, dill, chive, lemon, jalapenos, pepitas and queso fresco. The flavor profile was nailed. My only concern was trying to cut the tostada into four pieces was impossible and caused us to destroy the masterpiece. The combination though was perfect. The sweet plantains were equally flavorful and a must try. The grilled short rib with sweet potato puree, demi glace, crispy Peruvian potatoes, aji amarillo and a cilantro gel was delicious, but the short rib was microscopic. Our final selection was the camerones in garlic, lemon, lobster butter, oregano, smoked paprika and chive oil. The shrimp were overcooked and extremely rubbery, while we fought for the sauce with grilled bread. Besame was our favorite dining experience in Steamboat Spring. The seating and ambiance coupled with the food made the evening extra special. To Besame, great job overall.

Besame is one of my most frequented restaurants in Steamboat and is consistently good every time…read more The food, service, and atmosphere always make it an easy choice, and their happy hour (30% off tapas from 4:00-5:30) is a great bonus. This visit, we ordered the Watermelon Gazpacho (GF), Beef Short Rib Anticucho (GF), and Ensalada de Manzana y Manchego (GF). The Beef Short Rib Anticucho was the star of the meal, at least for me, I honestly wanted more because it was so good! The salad was also delicious and, while definitely more apple-heavy than greens, they were happy to accommodate my request for extra greens. My only criticism is that the menu doesn't mention the compressed watermelon in the gazpacho is infused with sangria. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I could definitely taste it and wish that had been disclosed on the menu. Overall, Besame remains one of my favorite spots in Steamboat. Consistently great food, great service, and always a solid dining experience.

We ordered Pan -which is soft, comes with creamy butter; also, got ensalada (local farm) because of that pesticide, I was worried. It turned out better than last time; Calabacin - was good, until kick of spice, doesn't come on quick, after chewing and swallowing, phew! There's a kick of spice and I drank everything surrounding me, asked for ice, it doesn't come with water, mocktail and Sprite with cherries; Jamon Fat Fries - basic French fries, of course yummy; 37 day dry aged cowboy ribeye 24 oz is delicious, hubby was in love; for dessert it's chocolate tarte (4got) fancy name, it was served inside dark brown cup, I thought it was part of dessert, nope! It's unusual--umm, like chocolate mousse inside. I wanted to love it, but no, I do not recommend ordering. We sat in okay spot. They said, we'd be in best table...where we sat, we couldn't take good pictures, it was at corner. If we were one table over, it would've been amazing. The ambience was great. For service, I had to take a star away, I didn't want to...service was ok, I kept inquiring about my refills, way we were served, we were barely eating appetizers and salad...they came to take away plates to give us dinner plates, it felt rushed. I was trying to finish bread and salad, while they were moving plates around, so they can take it. If they waited 5 minutes, it would've been smoother. Dinner was great, server came right back, we barely got steak on our plates, inquired about taste...again, it was rushed. Plus, check your receipt! They already added 10% tip, which is fine, but without any notice or none that was displayed. I'm sure we'll return, maybe when the Alpine Globes returns, it's a nice place and my husband enjoys rooftop dining.

Maybe rightly so as their specialized ingredients are harder to get. We sat inside this time though we used to go mostly mid summer and sit out. The patio was jam full last night so we ate inside where it was quite empty early evening during happy hour. My husband had the happy hour special of the evening, a very large serving of large mussels with grilled sourdough and a lucious broth. We also had some small plate tapas and I mostly grazed those. I love Bocarones and they do it so well though for me last night, the peppers were a bit too spicy. But I got the majority of the little fishies, my husband the peppers.. We also had the tortilla papas and the charred Hazel Dell mushrooms which were excellent. The little salad topping on the tortilla was full of specialty greens like fennel fronds and pea shoots. The mushrooms has a warm egg yolk on top to stir into the dressing which was tasty. We finished with their flan which was as good as my Spanish born neighbor made in my youth. I had a very nice tea with it. I was originally going to knock off a star for pricing but honestly, I don't think they have much option these days. But sadly we will go less frequently in the future.
