Lively is the only word I can think of when I think about Hernando's Pizza Pub. I first thought this place was an Italian restaurant with a mexican twist but turns out its actually a real italian spot. The food was pretty good and its one of the top rated restaurants in winter park so that matches. Inside the pub had currency bills stuck all over the walls, gave a cool fun vibe and the restaurant itself was buzzing with people, conversations, and energy, making it feel very lively. The service was fast and nice. we ordered quite a few things, skipped the pizza and went with more classic stuff.. ravioli, lasagna, clam pasta, meatballs, spaghetti bolognese for the mains. The starters were excellent, especially the garlic bread, which came out warm with just the right amount of cheese and garlic. The minestrone soup was hearty and healthy, easily my second favorite dish!! The main dishes were solid too though the red sauce on the spaghetti + meatballs was very bland, no seasoning at all, like they just threw it on last second but the ravioli, lasagna and clam pasta were much better, more balanced and very tasty. To conclude, even though I loved the food, I really wish I could have taken the pizza over all the classic Italian pasta dishes. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. Between the lively atmosphere, attentive service, and mostly great food, it felt like a wonderful place to spend an evening in Winter Park.

Fantastic pizzas! This place totally delivers quality, fun combos of pizza! We enjoyed the Jerry's ( Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms) Sonoma (Chicken, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes), cheese and my favorite was the Pesto! ( Pesto sauce, sausage, roasted red pepper and red onion!) We could tell the pesto was also a favorite because it was the first pizza to be consumed! Thanks for a lovely meal!

One of our favorite restaurants in Winter Park! Pizza is delicious, love the garden salad (hello, chickpeas!) and who knew about putting honey on your crust?!? Service is great & it is one of our first stops when we get to town.

Best pizza in winter park hands down! Great salads and cold beer. Kids love the food and it's so friendly and mountain special. Staff are so great and friendly. The honey on crust after dinner is great.

Winter Park is changing. Hernando's is a bit of 'old' Winter Park; been around since Berthoud Pass Ski Area was still open (which I remember). There''s a reason there's a line out-the-door come the winter weekends. I think their pizza is awesome, I'm a fan. So good, I've been coming for quite some time now & have never tried their pasta. The service has always been fast & friendly, although they do get bogged-down during the dinner rush. My advice is don't be in too much of a hurry or expect to get in fast on the weekends @ 5 PM. Your patience will be rewarded. The inside has a "cool mountain pizza place that's been around since the 60s" vibe. Go and you won't be disappointed. [Well, unless you're a really large group that wants separate checks. ;). ]

I have been coming here for decades and always enjoy ordering food and having a beer at the bar while I wait. The bartenders are excellent with a good selection of beer, while the food is always delicious. This last trip, I was hungry from the drive up the mountain and a day on the slopes. Didn't want to make dinner and was by myself, so I ordered a Stomboli with pepperoni and sausage. My condo was up the road, so I walked there. Once again, everything was incredible.

We sat at the bar and had crystal as our bartender. She was the best very personable. We got the Sonoma 10" pizza and then the meatball sub. It was pretty empty but it is mid season so our food came out quick.

I visited this pizza parlor with friends while out in Colorado for a trip. We went on a Sunday night, and the place was a bit crowded. Some of us waited at the bar, others in the front where we fit. The place was pretty cute though. It was 6 of us, so we decided to get a pizza and 2 orders of a dozen wings. Our waiter suggested that we get the cheese bread as well "because it was popular and really good", so we did. Everything was good, but I can say the cheese bread was a bit overrated. As far as prices, they were a bit much. I just remember the total coming out to be around $115 for a few items. Cool experience though. Thanks for keeping us warm with the fire place behind us!

The Sonoma with Simone sauce was so yummy. Chicken hot wings were great and the service by Christa was awesome! Thanks for a fun convo and yummy food! We'll be back!

We were planning to go somewhere else, but it was closed. We decided to go back to our old stomping grounds and eat at Hernando's. Something's nothing change. Brought back old memories! The food and service were great like always. Glad that we decided to go to Hermando'! We'll be back again!

Food 3/5. The garlic bread and marinara sauce were delicious. The pizza was slightly underdone, but the twisted, thick crust was very good.

My son-in-law was happy about that. Now for the reason I won't be back. You order from the counter, which is fine. The thing that put me off was that they charge extra to use your credit card. Yes I know credit cards charge them and they want their customers to pay for that. (Shame on credit card companies!). But our order came to close to $100.00 and who carries that much cash? So that brought up the total. Then of course tip on top of that. No service to speak of except somebody physically carrying the food to the table. No checking back. Three of us ordered eggplant parm with spaghetti. It came with generous portions in two separate dishes. The pasta had a grainy texture that I didn't enjoy. The sauce needed to be brighter. The eggplant was almost too salty to eat. I just didn't enjoy my meal. A dry slice of bread (no butter) came on the plate too. I sopped up some sauce with it but it wasn't quality bread. I guess I was put off by the extra charge for the credit card and from there it was downhill for me. The gluten free dish was the best one, I guess. It was carbonara with penne pasta.

To start with the good - the brussels sprouts were crispy and flavorful (recommend!) and the kids menu was reasonably priced with good options. The pasta main was also solid, not exceptional but definitely tasty. Our server was absolutely lovely, she was the highlight of the visit! Unfortunately, we ordered the fish special which was halibut and noted that was a little mushy on one side (sadly towards the end of the meal). We stopped eating at that point, but alas, too late. The individuals who ate the halibut became profoundly ill overnight (with what was most certainly food poisoning based on the timing and duration), while the rest of our party who did not have the fish was just fine. The rest of the day was completely zero risk food, which left no other true culprits. We tried to reach out by phone and email without so much as any acknowledgement. Unfortunate across the board.

The concept of it being inside a home is very interesting. The food here is amazing especially their Caesar Salad. That salad was so delicious we wanted to order some to go. Now the reason why this place is getting three stars because 1. The service here is horrible! 15-25 minute wait for our server to come back around and check in on us. It wasn't just us either but it was everyone else in the room. Saw a couple that waited about 25 minutes just to be checked up on after being seated. We also never asked for our bill yet and it was given to us without us asking. We wanted to order more food after our entree. Hence why we never got to order our Caesar salad. 2. This one was the most disappointing part of our dinner. We ordered tiramisu for our dessert, once served I noticed a glossy chunky on it, assuming it was maybe crystallized sugar. Wrong. It was a chunk of ice!! The tiramisu WAS STILL FROZEN!! For 12 bucks I can get some better tiramisu at king soopers, Safeway, or any other restaurant honestly. 3.
