I went to see the movies with my friends and the lady with white hair who gave me the chicken tenders or was serving my food, was really disrespectful to me. Since this theater opened it has become our go to movie theater. We usually go there to see the latest movie out. They have a Frequent user club where on Tuesday you can see any movie for $5 and any Xplus movie for $7. If you join they'll give you 10% (I believe) back on your purchases which you can use towards the price of ticket(s) or food/drinks. The popcorn is good but BEWARE the salt shakers pour really and I do mean really fast. I personally don't put butter on my popcorn but the kids says its really good. They have Coke products for drinks and they are always cold and taste great. They have all the munchies you would want to get at a movie theater and they also have a liquor bar. The theaters are very clean and have reclining chairs. You can recline the chair all the way back and people can still get by you! You won't have to worry about that really tall dude wearing a hat that usually blocks part of the movie screen as all the theaters at Showcase Cinema de Lux Hanover Crossing have rows that are angled so you won't have that problem. The theaters themselves are usually on the cold(er) side we always bring a jacket or blanket (even in the summer). They get all the latest movies and have plenty of showtimes to pick from. There is free parking although it can get pretty packed when there's a popular movie showing. You can pre-order your tickets and pick your seats on their website so you don't have to wait in a line to purchase tickets in person. I highly recommend buying your tickets online as you can get the best seats via this method. Don't worry if you're a little late for the movie they usually run about 5 minutes (sometimes more) of upcoming previews. read more

Waited so long for this theatre because it's closest to me. It's nice and clean, but never shows the current movies that other theatres are showing, and that I want to see. They have obvious political bias, because they avoid showing movies that have conservative undertones, such as Christian-based, and truth-telling movies like Sound of Freedom, Cabrini, After Death, Am I Racist, and Reagan . I'll keep going to Regal Cinemas in Kingston. They support all viewers. read more

The brand new Showcase in Hanover is a very nice theater. Between the brand new building and the attentive staff. They are very thorough as they clean between every movie and sanitize the seats! it is a very well run movie theater highly recommended! read more

Some miserable hag could Not leave my kid and her friends alone!!!! She kept following them around, called security because someone got sick in the bathroom from her dinner not a big deal, She started crying in the stall from stress of this lady yelling at her and her friends. The hag Went to go see her movie with her boyfriend and they kept asking me what was going on i told them i would handle it and they STILL kept following me and the kids. Mind your own business. We move on and during the movie my kid and her friends were chatting quietly because kids will be kids. She gets some weak employee who threatens to kick us out with no refund like ok keep your bum ass money and leave the kids alone , its 7pm on a Saturday night of course there will be teenagers being teenagers. The movie ends and this hag and her boyfriend are complaining AGAIN. I dont understand? Are you trying to get a free ticket or something. This lady just needs something to complain about and shes not getting away with this. I WILL be contacting showcase and they aren't gonna get away with this. read more

Improperly handled situation at the snack bar. I took my girls to our seats and waited for the show to start ,and then went to get us some bottles of water. I paid with my card, was told I was allset and went back to my seats. About 45mins into movie I go and get popcorn. The young man was waiting on me and he was great. All of a sudden the manager is standing there and kept saying are you the 3 drinks? Are you the 3 drinks?. I'm staring at him asking him what? Huh? Then he says my card didn't go through... so I was so confused for 5 mins not saying to me what he needed or why he was addressing me at all he embarrassed me held up the line and kept me from more of the movie.. in the end I paid for everything including my popcorn just fine.. very aggravated ruined my experience for my first time at hanover showcase cinemas read more

It was my birthday and I really wanted my family to enjoy a movie that I liked. when we get to the theater we are missing a seat. I look at my digital ticket and see we are theater 7, instead of theater 5 which they told us. I drag my family out of the theater to make it to the beginning of the movie in theater 7 and I'm told the theater changed. there were 2 other people that exited theater 5 because their seats didn't exist. Well the manager was nice enough to save row A for my family (9 tickets), the shittiest row ever and there's a reason why I didn't buy tickets in that row! BUT the problem is, we were not told of this change and updated seats until we ran around the theater to find out where our movie was. Has Showcase heard of notifying people about seat changes when their tickets are scanned upon entry? NO! Thanks for the great Birthday experience Showcase! My family missed the first part of the movie which I wanted more them to see. read more

Manager harasses and kicks out 4 year old!!!! Tried to take my four year old son to the movies, and had two vouchers from the Dedham location from a movie that shut down halfway through. Because I wanted to use the Dedham vouchers, at the Hanover location, I called prior to confirm this, and got a manager named Eric over the phone who told me this is not a problem, that any staff member can accommodate that request. I showed up with my family for the movie and it was a problem for the teller, so I asked for Eric. He sent over some kind of assistant manager, who after telling me no, tried to confiscate my vouchers. The weirdest part was some movie theater employee came over, and stood about 8 feet away and watched this whole conversation while I tried to explain- this ended up being Eric, who came the rest of the way over when the assistant manager wouldn't give me my vouchers back. He asked me to run through "the problem" again. And after I explained and he denied my request, I asked him why he told me this was okay over the phone, but then deny me when I show up- his response was I need to resolve it with Dedham or the corporate office. I went back to head back to the teller to buy the tickets for the movie, and then Eric called out and said I was rude. I was shocked in not only his interpretation on the situation, but the way he announced it in front of other customers in line. I asked what I had done, and he responded " you and your rude son can leave". My son is four, and didn't say or do anything; the entire conversation was with me. He asked us to leave again, and to "go to Dedham". My son was crushed.... Eric bullied my 4 year old son, because he couldn't answer my question over using the vouchers... read more

I am extremely disappointed in my experience here, we went to go see the Five Nights at Freddy's movie but their 3 of their theaters had their projectors stop working during previews, we sat there waiting because they said they would get the movie back running. They worked on the 2 other projectors, we ended up waiting an hour just for them to tell us to go home because the movie was at around 10% capacity and they wanted to send us out so they can put on the next showing. This shows they don't care about their patrons and just want to make a quick buck. All we got was one small popcorn (even though we spent a lot of money on snacks), and a readmission ticket for a different time when the movie was going to stop showing in a few days. We are very upset and will be taking our money somewhere else from now on. read more
