While they currently have construction going on and if you haven't visited before it's very hard to navigate how to get inside, once inside they quickly tallied the size of my tub and charged me for the shred - $30, which I personally thought was very reasonable. The visit took probably 5 minutes and they stopped processing the bankers boxes they had been shredding so they could shred our documents in front of us. I try to shred my sensitive docs on my own personal machine now, but couldn't make a dent on the boxes that had grown in my storage area and closets (a total of packed 14 bankers boxes!). Now that I will be selling my home, I had to end my procrastination, especially since I am definitely not going to pack up and bring them to my next home. I found the Shred Center on Yelp, called ahead (no appointment necessary at the time), and voila: All 14 boxes of old docs were shredded before my eyes during my visit! TIP: If you have multiple boxes as I did, grab one of their dollies near the entrance, load your boxes onto the dolly, and wheel the loaded dolly into the front area guided by one of their staff, and they will take care of the rest. Proceed to the check-out area and pay by the size of your container and/or fill line. Note: You can bring your docs in plastic bins, but you will not be allowed to leave them (only cardboard boxes may be left, and will be recycled). read more
