Very limited hours or service for drop off. Even during business hours, no one was at the drop off location. Called and was advised that the crew was 'out in the field' on a service call and to return in 15minutes. I returned but still no luck. Just as I was leaving someone came and opened up the shop. I told him that I have 9 banker's boxes to be shredded. He then told me immediately that it's almost closing time and he is not able to get to the shredding...!! Mind you he just came to the drop off location. He ended up taking the boxes I needed to be shredded but did not provide any detailed receipt of the transaction; I only received the credit card receipt. I will not be returning to Reliable Affordable Shredding and cannot recommend them as a shredding service. read more

I was particularly happy that they were open to 'drop-off' as I didn't want to hassle scheduling another service and wanted to be done with this task. Thank you yelpers for recommending this location for shedding. I accumulated one whole year's worth of shredding in a large laundry basket in my garage and it was running out of space so I decided to take or to R.A.S to shred. I use to shred them periodically but the constant credit card offers and sensitive mail came 10 folds and coupled with having a new baby and moving to a new house, this was left by the wayside. I drive up and the owner comes out with a dolly to help me unload. Wow! He charges me $7 for one whole big basket. Why do I even own a shredder!? Everything took 10 minutes. I started bringing my documents to this place to shred a few months back. They are very nice and professional. Plus I get a certificate of shredding. I used to go to Red Dog Shred, but they keep and store everyone's credit cards in their data base. One time I noticed the guy at their counter at Red Dog Shred entering my credit card info into their computer. He kept trying to distract me by talking about some stupid song, and a few days later someone went to Walmart in Santa Clara and spent $800 of my hard earned money there. I knew exactly what happened and who did it. I posted a bad review on their site and the owner replied that she keeps the card info in their data base in case the charge doesn't go through. That's when I switched to this company, Reliable Affordable Shredding. They don't do anything shady like that. Plus I get to watch them Shred my documents. Reliable charged only $6 to shred 25 lbs of old tax forms. Other services quoted $80 for drive up to my home service. If you can drive and drop off your paper, Reliable will shred the job while you watch. Their shop is unit #13 in this industrial shop. call them if you have trouble finding. I was moving out at the end of March and found bags of documents I had hoarded over 4 years. I was very stressed out but I yelped shredding services and called Reliable Affordable Shredding. I was told I could drop off the bags and didn't even have to go thru them to remove the clips, binders etc. I drove over there as soon as I hung up. Initially, I was going to drive to Red Dog to shred my personal documents but at the last minute I decided to yelped for something closer to home and found this location. Let me say that I am literally typing this review in my car after having my documents being shredded. It's one of those reviews where you just want to share right away. I drove into the lot (easier and quickest to enter from Little Orchard St) and parked on the opposite of where Bob's suite is. As soon as I walked out of the car, Bob started pushing the cart towards my car. It's like he knew. Bob assisted me in getting my 3 shopping bags and 1 small diaper box of documents ($20).
