I recently bought a used car from Patrick at this dealership. I'm from out of state and was buying…read morethe car sight-unseen and having it shipped to me. I did a ton of research and knew which car I wanted, but I was having a hard time finding it in my area, so I looked in other states and found the car I wanted at Germain Cadillac. Here's what made my experience so great: 1. Patrick, my sales guy, was awesome. I had filled out a contact form and received a response via email from someone else at the dealership (not Patrick), but I had a hard time getting a response beyond the initial one. So, I called the dealership and I was transferred to Patrick. From that point forward, I was in good hands. He answered all of my questions, went out to inspect the vehicle and took pictures of any little cosmetic flaws, sent me the vehicle inspection, etc., and then explained how buying a car with me being out of state would work. He was also just a really nice guy during all of this--not pushy or impatient in the least. 2. Fair pricing. I love the feeling of knowing that you got your money's worth and I definitely feel that I did in buying this vehicle. 3. Super fast paperwork. The day I called in and we said we'd take the car, they had the paperwork over-nighted to me. I had it in my hands the next day. They included an overnight envelope so I could send it back right away as well. [Note that if you buy from out of state like I did, you'll need to get a few papers notarized, so don't sign those ones until you're before the notary.] 4. Once the car was bought, (as in they already had their money and they weren't going to make any more on the sale) Patrick was still super responsive. They were patient as I arranged to get my vehicle shipped (they will happily arrange a shipper for you, but I opted to do it on my own) and kept in touch even after it left their possession to make sure I got it alright. 5. When I got the car, there weren't any surprises. Everything was as they said it would be, the car ran great, had a tank full of gas, was clean and ready to drive. I was so happy to get my car! Honestly, I'm not usually a big risk-taker, so I kind of surprised myself by buying a car I'd not seen in person. I couldn't have asked for a better experience than this, though. If I need another car, I'm checking the inventory here first and calling Patrick if I find something I like.

A couple of days prior, my check engine light came on so I went on my computer. This is where my…read moreadventure started yesterday with me making an appointment for today. I was able to get a 0700 appointment. Showed this morning and was first in line. The doors opened at 0700 as advertised and I pulled in and got out of my car. I was greeted by Jason and he asked if I had an appointment. I stated I did for 0700. He looked on the computer and couldn't find my appointment but went ahead and booked me in anyways. I was getting an oil change. I told him that and funny as it is he said I should get a transmission flush and a radiator flush that I was overdue. I just had to laugh and told him no. Funny thing was I literally just watched a YouTube video that talked about Service Writers will always try to upsell these two services because of the huge margins they make on them. I then went into their lobby to wait. They have a great lobby to wait in while you wait. In the morning they free coffee and pastries for customers who are waiting. After about an hour Jason came in and waved for me. I followed him back to his desk. I told him I had a coupon for the service, he was a little perturbed by that and lectured me about it not being presented when I came in. No big deal, finished the transaction and he told me my car was outback. I went out and got in my car. Whoever moved my car had to be a short person because I struggled to get in because they had the seat all the way up to the steering wheel. Finally got in the car and adjusted the seat and started the car. To my surprise my I look down and my "Check Engine " light is still on. My thought was I should go back in and show them but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I'll definitely make them come out to the car next time before I leave.

I have never been so unhappy with a dealership service experience…read more I received a call informing me that my new vehicle was due for its first service, so I took a day off work and brought my vehicle in. I also had my children with me and was told the service would take approximately one to one and a half hours. After about an hour of waiting, I took my children outside to walk around the lot trying to entertain them and noticed my vehicle was still parked behind the service department. When I asked my service advisor why it was parked back there, if that meant it was finished, he said, "That's usually what that means, but no one has brought your keys up yet." After waiting even longer, I checked again and my vehicle was still sitting in the same spot. At that point, I asked for a status update from my service advisor and was shocked to learn that absolutely NOTHING had been done with my vehicle after two hours. They had not started the service, did not have the parts needed to address one of my concerns, had not rotated my tires, and despite my understanding when scheduling the appointment, I was not even scheduled for an oil change. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of communication. Had someone informed me of the delays, the missing parts, or the scheduling issues when I arrived, I could have made other arrangements instead of spending two hours + waiting with my children for NOTHING. I ultimately requested that my vehicle be pulled up and left without any service being completed. This experience was extremely disappointing, and because of the poor communication and lack of customer service, I am highly unlikely to return for future service.

Their automated phone system repeatedly hung up on me after long hold times -- and that was the only way I could get updates, since they never followed through on promised callbacks. My service rep, Alex, repeatedly told me he would call with updates, yet I never received a single one. At one point, he claimed he had tried to reach me multiple times, but it turned out he was calling my parents' old home number -- a line that hasn't existed for years. I have no idea how they even got that number, especially since all my interactions with them had been through my mobile phone. Not only was the communication abysmal, but the sense of urgency was nonexistent. My car sat there untouched for the entire first week because they hadn't even started diagnostics. When I called for an update, they couldn't even locate my vehicle in their system. After finally determining the car needed a new engine, I was told there was no way to get a loaner in the meantime. Then, when they said it was finally fixed and ready for pickup, the check engine light came back on immediately when they pulled it up -- right back to square one. Having no car, no communication, and then being expected to pay for something they missed in the first place is unacceptable. This dealership clearly lacks organization, accountability, and respect for its customers. Do yourself a favor and take your business to any other Kia dealership.
