Piece of chrome falling off, heated seats in rear not working, auto dimmer on mirror not working, tried to gouge me on an extended warranty, not willing to work with you on price. When I mentioned the things, I found wrong they had no comment, pretty much ignored what I said until some random customer backed into the vehicle and smashed the rear bumper. Luckily, I signed nothing at that point. Then all of a sudden, they wanted to fix a few things on it. At that point I didn't trust them to fix the bumper right. Sales guy was so no pressure he was more like the secretary vs the guy actually selling it. Almost no communication. They didn't want to talk about a deal they just started pushing paperwork like I was sold and ofc I didn't buy. The shopping experience and selection has always been good, but my third experience has come to bite me in the wallet. I've owned an Odyssey purchase there for about five years, and a couple years into it I got a flat tire in my garage from a sheet metal screw. Turns out the driver side wheel liner and plastic shield underneath the engine had been reinstalled with sheet metal screws at some point prior to our purchase. I was annoyed and contacted the corporate office only be told that their inspection should not be the basis of a purchasing decision. This vehicle also had a clean Carfax report. This brings me to today. During a recent family vacation, the driver side fender started popping out, pulled the wheel liner that then shredded against the tire, and exposed a rather extensive Bondo job. So my Odyssey now sits in a body shop with about $1,600 in estimated repairs. I was a little too trusting and assumed that these sort of issues would have been discovered prior to selling a vehicle. Really hoping this wasn't a CarMax repair.

Their automated phone system repeatedly hung up on me after long hold times -- and that was the only way I could get updates, since they never followed through on promised callbacks. My service rep, Alex, repeatedly told me he would call with updates, yet I never received a single one. At one point, he claimed he had tried to reach me multiple times, but it turned out he was calling my parents' old home number -- a line that hasn't existed for years. I have no idea how they even got that number, especially since all my interactions with them had been through my mobile phone. Not only was the communication abysmal, but the sense of urgency was nonexistent. My car sat there untouched for the entire first week because they hadn't even started diagnostics. When I called for an update, they couldn't even locate my vehicle in their system. After finally determining the car needed a new engine, I was told there was no way to get a loaner in the meantime. Then, when they said it was finally fixed and ready for pickup, the check engine light came back on immediately when they pulled it up -- right back to square one. Having no car, no communication, and then being expected to pay for something they missed in the first place is unacceptable. This dealership clearly lacks organization, accountability, and respect for its customers. Do yourself a favor and take your business to any other Kia dealership.

As an aside, there are quite a few search engines but if you find one that seems too good to be true, do a streetview of the dealer address. You might find an iffy looking, fly by night place and a bad carfax with a salvage title. Pay a little more and opt for a dealership. My son saw a car he liked at Germain Honda but he moved too slow. But there were 2 potentials here at Germain Mazda, and several more at Honda Marysville if Germain didnt work out. I met my son at the dealership and met with Alec who had our two choices ready for their test drive. He was personable and did not try to upsell us. Both cars were nice but the newer one clearly stood out. It was clean, loaded with stuff that were in my son's wish list and it had lower mileage. Description and pictures were accurate. Yes it had a tiny scratch that was repainted that you could barely see but I was looking for that. We had arrived before the dealership opened and all of their used cars were sparkling and ready for their new owner, we just wanted a Honda but we looked around just to kill time. Everything on the lot was clearly labeled. Buying the car took some time, not unreasonable, and we were offered tea, coffee and water. There were some strange questions related to financing that apparently Huntington Bank wanted answers like do you plan to transport a pet. Any kids riding in the car? We once again purchased the gap insurance. It is a really pretty car. I'm jealous. And Germain has been around FOREVER. And they filled up the tank.
