I spent several days helping him research a used Honda,without a zillion miles on it that came from a well established reputable dealer. As an aside, there are quite a few search engines but if you find one that seems too good to be true, do a streetview of the dealer address. You might find an iffy looking, fly by night place and a bad carfax with a salvage title. Pay a little more and opt for a dealership. My son saw a car he liked at Germain Honda but he moved too slow. But there were 2 potentials here at Germain Mazda, and several more at Honda Marysville if Germain didnt work out. I met my son at the dealership and met with Alec who had our two choices ready for their test drive. He was personable and did not try to upsell us. Both cars were nice but the newer one clearly stood out. It was clean, loaded with stuff that were in my son's wish list and it had lower mileage. Description and pictures were accurate. Yes it had a tiny scratch that was repainted that you could barely see but I was looking for that. We had arrived before the dealership opened and all of their used cars were sparkling and ready for their new owner, we just wanted a Honda but we looked around just to kill time. Everything on the lot was clearly labeled. Buying the car took some time, not unreasonable, and we were offered tea, coffee and water. There were some strange questions related to financing that apparently Huntington Bank wanted answers like do you plan to transport a pet. Any kids riding in the car? We once again purchased the gap insurance. It is a really pretty car. I'm jealous. And Germain has been around FOREVER. And they filled up the tank. I asked to speak with someone about negociating a price. Before throwing out any numbers, I was met with a very sharp response from one of the owners, "The price is the price. If you can't afford it, you can't buy it." When I explained I had an offer in on an identical vehicle one model year newer with 8k less mileage for $1,500 LESS in Chicago, he responded, "Well, sounds like a better deal. Go there then." No thanks. Any business that gets high and mighty over overpriced cars just because they sit in THEIR lot and not another isn't worth the money, time, or effort. There are plenty of used car dealerships in the area that will not only give you better pricing and financing, but they'll treat you better too. Pass on this one, yelpers.

The tires had been replaced, along with the brakes, timing belt, water pump and some other things I can't remember. I felt extremely comfortable knowing that all of the things I could think would need done were done. There were a few cosmetic flaws with the car but it is a used car and the sales guy (who I think is the owner) told me about all of them. Doing my due diligence by looking at a few of the same car elsewhere, I found that they all had those same flaws. Oh, and I forgot to mention the car had a clean carfax with service records and the price came in closer to the trade in value than the retail value on NADA website. Anyways this place smashed my preconceived notions about used car places. The people were honest, upfront about everything and I didn't feel pressured one bit. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good car and no bs.

Their automated phone system repeatedly hung up on me after long hold times -- and that was the only way I could get updates, since they never followed through on promised callbacks. My service rep, Alex, repeatedly told me he would call with updates, yet I never received a single one. At one point, he claimed he had tried to reach me multiple times, but it turned out he was calling my parents' old home number -- a line that hasn't existed for years. I have no idea how they even got that number, especially since all my interactions with them had been through my mobile phone. Not only was the communication abysmal, but the sense of urgency was nonexistent. My car sat there untouched for the entire first week because they hadn't even started diagnostics. When I called for an update, they couldn't even locate my vehicle in their system. After finally determining the car needed a new engine, I was told there was no way to get a loaner in the meantime. Then, when they said it was finally fixed and ready for pickup, the check engine light came back on immediately when they pulled it up -- right back to square one. Having no car, no communication, and then being expected to pay for something they missed in the first place is unacceptable. This dealership clearly lacks organization, accountability, and respect for its customers. Do yourself a favor and take your business to any other Kia dealership.

Per my receipt it stated that it was recharged and they had added Freon which cost me $338.39. It worked for one day, and started blowing out hot air the following day. I took it back to Lindsay Buick this morning and told Daniel, the service advisor what happened and he basically dismissed me saying that I was charged for diagnostic because I need a A/C condenser. I have been there three times and they have failed to do something each time that I requested done. This last time which was yesterday I spoke with the service manager, and he agreed that they had made several errors. He cut my bill by several hundred dollars and I now have free oil changes and a new service advisor. So hopefully going forth things will be better. I will give them one more try.
