Excellent service and a great experience!…read more Rick from Rick's Custom Shutters and Blinds helped me fix four blinds at my home in Irvine, and I couldn't be happier with the work. Rick arrived right on time, quickly identified the issues, and completed all four repairs in about 30 minutes. The workmanship was excellent, the price was very reasonable, and there was no pressure to replace anything unnecessarily. It's hard to find someone who is quick, professional, reliable, and reasonably priced. I'm very glad I found Rick and would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs shutter or blind repair. Great work, fair price, and excellent experience!

We first worked with Rick 6+ years ago when we moved into our home. He installed shutters in our bedrooms and office, and they've held up beautifully. I remembered how professional and on top of everything he was, so I reached out again when we needed blinds for our bedroom. Jeremy and Parker came out for measurements and made the whole process incredibly easy. They walked us through options, gave thoughtful suggestions, and provided an estimate. All in about 10-15 minutes. About two weeks later, they returned for installation and were done in under 5 minutes. Everything was seamless. The best part is how it turned out. It's exactly what we envisioned, if not better. We now have automated blinds in our bay window that give us privacy while still letting in light, and they look so clean in person. They even upgraded us to a system without a visible battery pack, which made a big difference aesthetically. Truly some of the best in the industry. Friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you, Parker and Jeremy!

They came in with plenty of samples and helped guide me color wise and with the type of blind we were looking for. They spent quite a bit of time with us and at the end of everything selected beautiful blinds for throughout the house. We also had verticals done for the sliding glass door. They were not the most expensive, but they were not the least expensive. They were very reasonably priced. Spent a good 30 minutes, measuring and remeasuring all the windows, since we are in a mobile home the windows are different sizes. When they are ready to leave and had selected our Blinds, they went over everything again and gave us a date for delivery. The date was prompt, the blinds came in and installed. The Installer, Gerard was in constant communication regarding the date to install the blinds. Texted us like he said 15 minutes before he arrived. He was very neat, installed every blind in the house and went over the instructions on how to use our blinds. I have never been more satisfied with a company as I was with Budget Blinds of Whittier and our installation. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to have work done, to please give them a call. Five star in our book.

David installed zebra blinds in my home about 7.5 years ago, when they were still relatively new to the market. Even today, guests regularly compliment how beautiful and modern they look. The quality of the product and installation has truly stood the test of time. Recently, after more than seven years, I reached out to him for another home project. To my surprise, he still remembered me and even remembered the neighborhood I lived in. He came by to help without hesitation and continues to provide free support for any concerns or questions related to the products he installed years ago. That level of after-sales service is incredibly rare these days. I've recommended David to several friends over the years, and every one of them has been happy with his workmanship, fair pricing, and professionalism. What I appreciate most is his honesty--he gives truthful recommendations, patiently answers every question (and I always have plenty before placing an order!), and never pressures you into buying something you don't need. If you're looking for someone who stands behind his work long after the installation is complete, David is the person to call. It's refreshing to work with someone who genuinely cares about his customers. Thank you, David, for your outstanding service over the years!

CEMAC deserves ALL the stars and positive reviews, they really came through for me with a recent…read moreLuminette shade repair when they weren't even the original installer!! I've been a loyal Hunter Douglas fan/customer for decades now and have had an overwhelmingly positive experience, but experienced a motor failure with one of my Luminette window treatments back in 8/2025. I contacted the HD retailer that I purchased the treatments from but learned that (1) it was out of warranty and (2) the Gen 1 motor/parts were discontinued as there was a "new generation" that was introduced in 2019. Supposedly, the only option was to order a new motor + track at $$ cost and attempt to reuse the existing fabric vanes. Based on that recommendation I placed the order for a new motor + track only to be told that due to a "parts shortage" the new motor + track would likely not be available until late 10/2025. This seemed suspect to me, so I reached out to CEMAC for a second opinion and connected with Gwen who informed me that she wasn't aware of any delays with orders and more importantly warned me that a new Gen 2 motor + track would NOT be compatible with my existing fabric vanes. Turns out that some Hunter Douglas rep may have provided inconsistent or incorrect information to my original dealer, but I obviously decided to cancel the replacement motor + track order immediately. I was then informed that my only option is a order a brand new system (motor + track + vanes) at a $$$$$ cost, which didn't make sense as it would end up looking.... exactly the same---such a complete waste of money and a huge disappointment that HD would not offer support for such expensive products. This is where Gwen stepped in to go above and beyond and the save the day. She was able to source a replacement Gen 1 motor directly from Hunter Douglas even when my original installer was unable to. Cost factor aside, it's also the practical and logical approach to attempt repair first as my fabric vanes were in perfect condition and it would be silly to unnecessarily replace. When the replacement motor arrived, we discovered that one of the components on the track was also damaged (likely due to the motor failure). Gwen proposed sending in the track to an authorized HD repair facility to see if it could be repaired, and only ordering a new system as a last resort. I SO appreciated this approach as it would literally save $$$$ (thousands!) if I could avoid having to order a new system. Happy to report that the repair approach worked and they were able to fix the track so that the replacement motor worked!! I had been living a fishbowl life for the past 3 months (every person/car that passed by could see clearly inside my kitchen/living area) but my exhibitionist Life of a Showgirl era is finally over! Endlessly grateful to CEMAC and Gwen in particular and will reach out to them first for any future window treatment (and it turns out flooring as well!) needs--highly recommend!!! ‍

The installation tech was also great, very professional and experienced. Everything went ahead of schedule. This was all free to us, and we did not have to request anything - CEMAC suggested it to us because they stand by their products and workmanship. This is the kind of company I like to do business with. The blinds themselves look great and are super well-designed, we really like the options to open from the top or bottom, and we no longer have to deal with cords. First, the installation team left without addressing the cracks/damage to my windowsill. They obviously saw the damage but did not mention it or let me know that someone would be scheduled to come back and fix it. I had to call the company myself and send pictures before they sent someone out. When they came back, all they did was sand down the damaged area and fill it in. I am also very disappointed with the fit of the shutters. I was told afterward that the shutters are not custom-sized and that the gap around them is "industry standard" because of the sizing of new-build windows. The gap is large enough that you can actually see the screws, which makes the shutters look like they were not properly sized for the window. What makes this even more disappointing is that their website advertises "custom shutters" and describes their shutters as having a "perfect fit." Someone came to my home to measure my windows before I purchased them, so I was under the impression that the shutters would be custom measured and ordered specifically for my windows. I was also told that I would have to wait weeks for the shutters because they needed to be ordered in the correct size. The final result does not look or feel like a custom, perfect-fit installation. When someone finally came out to address the damaged windowsill, I was also told that if I wanted to cover the large gap, I should purchase a weather stripping product from Amazon and install it myself. I was very surprised that after spending $1,500 on two windows, I was being directed to purchase something myself to make the shutters look properly finished. Had I known beforehand that there would be a noticeable gap, visible screws, and that I would essentially need to add my own weather stripping to make the installation look finished, I would have purchased from a different company. I spent approximately $1,500 on shutters for just two windows, so I expected a much better fit and finish. I understand that some clearance may be necessary for installation, but the large gap and visible screws are not what I expected from a company advertising custom shutters and a perfect fit. Overall, while the customer service was pleasant, I am extremely disappointed with the final product and the way the installation issues were handled. I wish the expectations regarding sizing, gaps, and installation had been made clear before I made the purchase.
