the food and service were good (ok, food was really good) but hours were uncertain the best. Unfortunately it is now closed permanently.

My friends were visiting from out of town and we did a nice day trip to the NEK. On the way home, we decided to stop in Barre and try this place for dinner. I called in advance and a nice young person told me that they could probably seat us within the hour. We arrived about 40 minutes later and were lucky-two tables were leaving. It's a small and clean dine-in area, so consider getting take out if they are packed and you don't have time to wait. I had a pretty big lunch, so I ordered just the Filipino Sia pao buns and as a table, we ordered the pork steamed dumplings. My friends each got the Sensei ramen. The buns were fresh and delicious and the dumplings tasty. The ramen portions were huge and looked amazing. My friends ended up less hungry than they anticipated and as they were staying in a hotel, reluctantly left their soup behind. The meal was fantastic and I'll be back for sure. read more

A delicious family run Ramen shop. The chefs were so nice and the meal was delicious! It was a large portion and everything was so flavorful and well presented. So I decided to give this place a try seeing that it was a new Asian restaurant in Barre. They have a pretty limited menu. I ordered the Chicken Pho and the Beef ramen. The food was acceptable but not out of this world. I thought the beef broth was on the weak side and nothing more than rice noodles and thin slices of beef. I know they are new and are getting their dishes down so with all do respect I think they can improve in the future. read more

We went for lunch yesterday and were blown away by the food. We got a variety of ramens plus dumplings plus homemade limeade. Yum! Also bought some exciting looking hot sauce with a coconut vinegar base. The family who runs the business are super nice and inviting and friendly. It's so great to see the empty storefronts in Barre turning into such wonderful establishments, I know with food this great, this place has a bright future! read more

If you're looking for an absolutely negative customer experience, this is the place for you. Was looking forward to having some ramen after work, but wasn't entirely sure when the shop was open until. The lights were on, people were talking inside, and there was both closed and open signs on the window. Upon walking in, I was instantly greeted with a rude "we're closed", no hello or "sorry for the confusion." The young woman struck me as very unfriendly. There are better, friendlier establishments to support folks, don't waste your time or money on this one. read more

Absolutely delicious food served here with friendly owners that help describe their fresh daily fare. Their pork and shrimp dumplings, served with a tasty dipping sauce, are wonderful! We had their Japanese stir fry made with shrimp, chicken and vegetables in a delicious sauce. I will have to check out their Asian grocery next time as I was too happy eating lunch! read more

Ordered the tonkatsu ramen. It was tasty for sure. Pork was tasty and the broth was good. I'd make a few changes... I'd definitely lose the raw grated carrot, and I'd probably marinade the other veggies to build flavor. The soft boiled egg should be a soy egg. Nevertheless, glad to have this restaurant in the area, and will return for the Singapore ramen dish, which looks to be a bit spicier. read more

This is my favorite Ramen place of all time. I have been here multiple times. From the moment you walk into the restaurant the owners make you feel as of you are a member of the family coming over for a meal. If you don't know what to order, the gentleman is very patient to walk you through the menu. I always get the spicy korean ramen. It has housemade kimchee, and succulent tofu, as well as a soft boiled eggs, and to top it all off they have fresh veggies placed on top. Do yourself a favor and do not skip this place. Outstanding! Among the six of us eating, we managed to try almost everything on the menu. The portions were more than generous, and the food tasted delicious and nourishing on a cold night.
