Very tasty simple New Mexican fare. Roadside stand with tiny seating area under the carport. The enchilada plate was nice and flavorful. Good rice and typical retried beans. Medium hot green chile. This place is the most disrespectful place I have ever been to. I am not a resident of Clayton anymore. Me and my fiance came to town and decided to order some food. We pull up to the place and the owner comes out and tells us, "no drug deals in my parking lot!" First of all, you don't know me. How dare you say something like to someone us. We don't do drugs. Just because someone is parked next to us and we were having a conversation with this person doesn't mean we are doing a drug deal. For your information, that was my son I was talking to whom I haven't seen for months. I have money to spend and I was giving you my business, but I will take my business elsewhere. I have never been so insulted in my life. I hope God forgives you for what you said. How dare you pass judgement on people like that. I will never order anything from these people again. I was traveling back to TX looking for tacos and this as one of three places I saw in this little town. I was skeptical at first because I did not want Tex mex!!! I wanted street tacos. So they don't serve hard shelled tacos which was the first good sign and I ordered the tacos with cilantro and onions only (no cheese tomato or lettuce) as soon as I said that the lady working there knew I was looking for real tacos and not Tex mex so she cooked them up very nicely. Delicious tacos especially the pork on corn tortillas. It is a food truck with some covered outdoor seating. Definitely worth the stop.

You wouldn't expect great tacos in a town like this, but this little trailer is serving up deliciousness like the best food carts in major cities. If you're just passing through and the stand is open, it's well worth a visit. The chicken and beef tacos were flavorful and fresh, the bean burrito and quesadilla were great, and the homemade salsa was perfect, not too mild, not too hot. The husband and I travel from Dalhart, TX to Colorado Springs, CO very often. We usually never stop anywhere to eat but today we were starving!! And I'm sure glad we stopped at this food truck!! It was delicious!! I had the two cheese enchiladas and my husband had the taco plate!! I highly recommend stopping to eat here.
