The packaging was incredibly thoughtful--they placed cardboard between the containers to keep everything secure and even lined the bottom of the styrofoam with aluminum foil to help retain heat. Everything traveled really well! The chive dumplings were still crispy when I got home, which is rare with takeout. The Pad See Ew was a generous portion, and the fried rice was loaded with toppings instead of just being mostly rice. Overall, I felt like I got great value for what I paid. 4 of us dined at Siam Bangkok and we all loved it! . Restaurant was spacious , clean and well laid out . Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu . It was a Friday night and they were packed and seemed a bit short staffed , but we didn't mind the wait the food was well worth it. We agreed we can't wait to go back and try other dishes as everything was delicious . The liquor store is right next door , so very convenient to pick up a bottle of wine as they don't have a liquor license . The service was friendly when I originally walked in. It was all down hill from there. When the first server pleasantly greeted me at the table I asked if the dishes were sweet. She said some of them, due to the customer base in the area. I explained that I was accustomed to authentic Thai and Laotian food that does not have excessive added sugar. She said that she also doesn't like Thai food like that. After we were in agreement of this, I did not expect a glass noodle salad to taste like a full cup of sugar was added to the dish. The server offered extra limes to add to cut the sweetness but lime doesn't remove sugar. At this point it tasted like extra sweet limeade was poured over a perfectly good glass noodle salad. Needless to say, it was awful. The server asked if I would like something less sweet instead. I took the gyoza. They were ok. When I received my bill the salad was not removed. The "best they could do was a 20% discount". This is unacceptable. Maybe the locals don't know or care what Thai food is supposed to taste like but I won't be returning and neither will anyone else that I know. We went for the food but our service was outstanding. We've ordered take out a few times & it's always great. Finally went in to eat & the gold walls are the *extra* I appreciate. We happened to be the only ones there on a Thursday night 30 minutes before closing but they were so gracious saying they'd stay open just for us even if they were already closed. We had 2-3 servers delivering food as it became ready. Provided great recommendations including the coconut pudding dessert-- my husband would have never order this but really enjoyed it. Food was great in this new restaurant in Harmony (Northgate Plaza on Rt. 19). Service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Our server said they've only been open two weeks, and they have a few things to learn, like providing larger plates when customers are sharing orders "family style". The small appetizer plates they gave us meant we could only manage one item at a time. They have a shrimp dumpling appetizer we have never seen before - but the price of $14.95 for 3 dumplings is a little steep, so the should either offer two for maybe $8 or 4 for the $14.95. Best overall Thai food we have experienced since our move from LA in 2020, but that's not to put down Avor Thai in Cranberry. Hoping they make it, because it's a very pleasant restaurant. read more

Nice restaurant in strip mall. Had the summer rolls with peanut sauce extremely fresh and delicious. The Tom Kha soup was a little different from what I'm used to but very good nonetheless. I like it a little spicy. And had the pad peanut sauce with shrimp. I was very good. Had it at a number 3 spice level I could have gone one spice level more. I'm fairly critical of restaurants and I would recommend any of those for someone who loves Thai food. I placed an order for pickup ASAP for only 2 items, it didn't say how long the wait was, which was fine. The wait ended up being 75 minutes after i paid, which i was also fine with waiting. i placed the order at 5:22pm, than arrived at the restaurant around 6:50pm, which was over my wait time. When i arrived i stood for about 5 minutes before being greeted, so i went up to the desk to pay. When i walked up no one was talking to me, so i waited and than said i was here for my pickup. The woman walked away to go into the kitchen, than came back and started laughing at me? she said "it's gonna be a while, do you want to sit and wait?" i said, "i've waited over 75 minutes for my order, so i'd just like to know how long the wait would be" she went into the kitchen again, and came out, once again laughing in my face saying about 45minutes. meanwhile, there was a group of people sitting and waiting who looked at me and said "we've been waiting for 2 hours already so i bet it'll be a long while" When she said 45 minutes i said i'd like a refund instead of waiting. She asked me if the number on my receipt was correct, i said yes, than she said she'd call me. i paused cause i didn't understand, than i said "are you going to refund me?" she said "yes i'll call you" i said "Can't i just get it refunded right now" she didn't answer me. than i asked "how will i know if you refund me" and she said she'd call me. The service was so awful, and i don't think they hired enough cooks for the establishment. the restaurant wasn't even full with people eating. i understand wait times can change, but for me to already wait over 90 minutes, and than asked me to wait another 45 with no communication was so disappointing. i'm a very understanding person, but i would not recommend a place with pricey food that has little to no respect for their customers. read more
