We chose here because of the stellar reviews, so maybe tonight was just "off" for them. The peanut noodle dish was sent back due to being so mushy that it jiggled and looked congealed. It was temperature hot, but not good. The rice dish had very little vegetable or chicken. The chicken also tasted very, very bland, like they didn't season it at all. It needed more sauce, also. I've been here about 5 times now and enjoy everything here. The service is always great as well. But I still go back to the inconsistency of the spice levels. I remember a 10/10 dish having no heat but a 6/10 being a 3 alarm fire. Same thing this time around... Ordered delicious pork tom yum spaghetti 10/10 spice and it was 10/10 spiced. A little gem in an unassuming strip mall. If you are looking for fancy, overpriced and under seasoned, look someplace else. Service was solidly provided by what looked like a mother/daughter combo. The food looked and tasted like it came out of her home kitchen in Thailand and was teleported to Cranberry PA. We got Boat Noodles, Panang curry, Chicken fried rice and Mango sticky rice for dessert. Our main dishes were cooked with spice level 3, except the my boat noodles was a 4. The spice was just right for us and anything more would make the dish very difficult to enjoy. We have been to Thailand several times and this place transported us back to Bangkok! Not everything remains the same, this is for sure. Got the pad Thai chicken spice level 4. Usually I can handle it but this was absolutely a mouth burn blast! I can't even finish my meal, I need to be better prepared with a glass of milk! The chicken is dry, the lime slice looked aged and brown, if it were at the market, you would not get it. Way more noodles than anything and far less chicken than normal. The whole meal is dry. Very displeasing to say the least. I hope it gets better soon, I'll be taking a hiatus. read more

Oh, my goodness! I moved to the area about a year ago and have been searching for a great Thai restaurant. I'm happy to say I found it today!! Real Thai Cuisine is as authentic as it gets. The Crab Rangoon is the best I've tasted and the Crispy Duck Basil was better than I expected. You can order it as spicy as you want or not at all. If you love basil, this is the dish for you. The duck was seasoned perfectly and tender and not a bit greasy like duck can be if not prepared correctly. And it wasn't masked by a heavy coating. Grabbed a quick lunch to go from Real Thai Cuisine. Ordered the Tom Yum with tofu, the fire cracker chicken, drunken noodles, dumplings, and spring rolls. Note that lunch comes with a soup, so don't over order on soup! Everything was great, but the other reviewers weren't joking when they said the spice level is insane. We ordered mild/no spice and the dish came out at a 4 minimum. My drunken noodles were ordered at a 4 and were easily a 7! I love spicy food, but I was sweating for sure. We had chicken pad Thai, Tom yum, chicken fried rice, and thai pho. We just moved here from Oklahoma where there's a large Vietnamese population and some of the best pho in the country and I must say, I may enjoy the Thai pho here more. Picked up food on way back from airport. It was about 8:45pm I was beyond shocked at how bad the food was as I have been here before. The portion of my dish was very small and cold. The rice container was half full. Both dishes were very blah. No flavor. But what had me jump up to write this review was the fresh spring rolls. They were very small and "deflated". Tried out Real Thai Cuisine this last weekend and the experience was just okay. Wait staff were friendly and attentive, though young and inexperienced. Not the reason for low stars--everyone is young and inexperienced at one time or another and I respect they they are learning! We were seated quickly. The floor around our table was a mess! The host tried to quickly kick crumbs, straws and wrappers aside. The table and booth however seemed clean. We ordered some chicken spring roll appetizers that tasted really good (though they were dripping, quite literally, in oil) and were piping hot! The roof of my mouth is still healing. Haha! They brought out extra plates for the spring rolls and they were both dirty. We are off of napkins instead. I ordered the pad see ew and my husband got the red curry. Our waitress asked what level of spice from 0-10 we wanted and explained that usually you can start feeling the heat between 3-4. I'm sort of a wimp, but I do like a little bit of spice, so I went with a 3. My husband and I always share our meals at restaurants, so while he can easily tolerate a little more spice, he went with a 4 for my sake. The meals came out pretty quickly. Mine had no spice whatsoever and both my husband and I had trouble eating his because it was so spicy. Not sure what happened, but neither spice level seemed correct to the description given by the waitress. I really enjoyed my meal, minus the fatty pieces of pork, some of which had little pieces of bone as well? Wasn't expecting that, but the flavors were great! My wife and I love super spicey Thai food. They go up to a levelv10. We talked with the waitress explaining we love habanero, ghost pepper hot. She said they can do a level 15. . The wife got level 15 Ginger sauce with tofu. She loved it. I had some Tom Yum soup and vegetables with tofu. Both dishes had a great flavor though a bit different for each, with the exception of the wife's scorching dish. I took her leftovers for work. My experience this past week was that the service was pretty fast and the staff were attentive; however, there seemed to be a mix up in spice level (not the end of the world), the plates that came out with the appetizer didn't appear to be very well cleaned, and the floors of the booth we sat in had lots of food particles and sticky substances on them. The prices are pretty reasonable aside from the appetizer which seems overpriced ($7 for 4 small spring rolls is a little steep compared to other places I've been), portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic. My wife got Pad See Ew and I got a Red Curry. We both got Level 3 spice but my wife's meal was very mild and my meal was spicy so something must've happened there. The plates that our appetizer came out with were streaked and had white particles so we opted to eat with our hands and use napkins for plates to get around this since that seemed safer than asking the staff to bring more plates. I saw the staff was really fast and prompt to clear place settings when parties left and wipe down table tops, but many of the crumbs ended up on the chairs and floor which didn't appear to be cleaned as regularly. Overall the food was good but I'd probably order take-out going forward to not have some of those same issues again. read more

This is good Thai restaurant relative to the North Hills, but it is not spectacular. We ordered takeout, and the process of placing the order and picking it up was really well executed. The food was ready on time, well-packaged, and easy to transport home. The quality of the food was somewhat hit or miss. The fresh rolls were good, but seemed out of proportion: the rolls were relatively large, and the cucumber wasn't thinly sliced; they did contain some nice Thai basil. The tom yum soup was fantastic. The stir fries and curries were all over the map. One additional detail is that the actual level of spiciness relative to their 10 point scale is all over the map. Sometimes a 3 seems very spicy (more like a 6 or 7). Sometimes a 4 seems about like a 4. It would be interesting to see whether the scale is consistently offset for specific dishes. read more

This place is legit and deserves to be called Real Thai Cuisine. The food was outstanding but beware of the spice level. I've only been here once so not sure if it's a pattern but the spice level was definitely above average. I chose 7 out of 10 for my spice level based on other Thai experiences in the area. What I received was in line with what I experienced in Thailand. If you're not a fan of spicy don't go higher than 4. Everything we ordered was delicious despite the sweats. The kids even managed to soldier through thanks to the incredible flavor. The restaurant is pretty basic but comfortable. The service was pretty good and the food came out quickly. The chicken "spring rolls" were SO DRY!!! Awful. We picked up the order and returned to our hotel immediately. By the time we opened the bag we discovered the noodles had been placed in a paper box. It was a blob of noodles that were struck together like Elmer's glue. Nearly inedible. Cheap material used to store food take-out ruined the meal. The dumplings were placed in stylist rofoam so we could not warm them in our microwave oven. Upon opening the bag we discovered no cutlery was provided so, there we were with soup for which we had paid $12 and nothing to eat it with. This is inexcusable. I do not plan to return. Cutting corners but charging the most. I'm really weary of the post-Covid minimalist mentality. read more

We've been here twice. The first time (about 6 months ago), the food was good and we decided to try them again today. We ordered a Red Curry Noodle (spice level 4) and a Pineapple Fried Rice (spice level 2). When we got home with our food, the spice level on the fried rice was WAAAYYY hotter than a 2. And the noodles weren't nearly a 4. My thought was they just mixed up the spice on the dishes, which is reasonable, but I couldn't possibly eat the level 4 rice dish so we called the restaurant to see if they could simply replace it. When I explained the issue, the woman put me on hold to "talk to the kitchen". When she got back on the line she proceeded to tell me I was wrong and the kitchen only used a 2 on the rice. I further explained to her that my rice was FAR hotter than my husband's noodle dish and he ordered a 4. She wanted to put me on hold AGAIN to check with the kitchen. I proceeded to tell her that it didn't matter to me what the kitchen says, the dish is way too hot and I'd like to know if she can make me a new one. I told her I'd be happy to bring the other one back and she replied, "Oh no, we make you new one. Can you come in 15 minutes?" I told her that would be fine. My husband got to the restaurant and when trying to pick up the new dish, the woman argued with him again about the spice level. Then she went on saying he needed to return the other one first. He explained to her that we were told we didn't need to bring the old one and that we just wanted a new dish because we couldn't eat the other one. She got angry and loud with him, the customer, right in the restaurant. My husband then got angry with her, expressed his displeasure, and ultimately she just gave him the rice. While the food flavor is good when the spice level is correct, we will never be back. Regardless of anything else, you should never argue and get loud with customers only trying to enjoy your food. Does she think we're running some scam where we go around town trying to get a $12 fried rice for free??? Just ridiculous. So the $12 cost of the rice dish is only the beginning of the revenue they will be losing. They will be losing hundreds of dollars in future orders we may have purchased as we will not ever go back. We'll take our future business to Avor Thai, which is also very close to us. Sorry Real Thai, you're a real example of how NOT to treat your customers. read more
