    Barnacle on shell

My muscles had barnacles on the shell which I understand they are harmless but it doesn't present a clean dish in my opinion there was also a miniature crustacean in the food I'm not sure the seafood quality of this place but it was unappealing

I visites the new location in Sharon: As a Sharonite I love the fact that our downtown is growing. This restaurant is going to be such an asset to the community I can already tell! I ordered take away for my mom and I, ordering the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and the Pho. The pad kee mao was the perfect level of spicy where you could not stop eating it, even if you tried! My mom loved the Pad Thai as well! Though I didn't eat in the restaurant, the space was decorated beautifully and you could tell that the servers were attentive. Food is an amazing way to explore new cultures and if you are looking to try something new I highly recommend! I already know this is going to be my new favorite restaurant in the area, I had to go back 2 days later because I kept thinking about the pad kee mao! Go support this business please & get out of your comfort zone!

With every bite, I said how amazing this place was. I think my fiancé was tired of me saying it so much! It was our first time here. Very busy, but the staff works hard and well together. The owner came around to every table, making sure everyone was taken care of, as well as taking orders and delivering food as needed. She talks to every customer and makes you feel like te most important guest there! Despite how busy it was, service was fast!! It was beautiful and clean inside. The prices are fair, as they give you a great potion! We come to slippery rock often for dinner and this place has been on my radar for months now. I love thai food, my fiancé never really had it, but I finally got him to venture here. This place was authentic, the best Thai food I've ever had. I got the red curry with jasmine rice while my fiancé got the pineapple chicken with jasmine rice, and we started with the crab Rangoon appetizer. As full as I was, I had to finish it because I never wanted it to end!! I was dying to try a dessert but we were way too full! Next time. Just with our first experience here, this has already become my top 3 restaurants. I wish I could have tried one of everything on the menu. We will be back again and again... at least once a month, I don't think I can go without it that long!!!

We love Elephant #8!!!! We have been patronizing the Slippery Rock location for several years. We love Nina Gold and Koko. They are so kind and friendly as is the entire staff. We have been to the new location in Sharon four times. We love all the food especially the sushi. It's the best sushi I have ever had. So far, I have tried four kinds of sushi specialty rolls. I love all of them. I can't say enough about the authentic Thai food without MSG. I am allergic to MSG and I love that they don't use it. I highly recommend the curry, the crispy duck, the appetizers, the pad Thai, and the sushi. It's the best around and we are so lucky to have these two locations. They prepare better Thai food than I have had in Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Fantastic!!

I had the opportunity to get some take out from the newly opened Elephant #8 Thai restaurant today. I brought "The Man", who is a Thai novice to give him his first taste. I have spoken to some local people who are very curious never having eaten Thai food. While I am no expert let me say that Elephant #8 is serving up some delicious eats. The restaurant itself is lovely, offering indoor dining and take out. It's not a huge menu, but provides some fantastic Thai treats that are accessible to both newbies and more familiar food fans. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and packed some Massaman Curry for later. The Pad Thai is really delish. Who can argue with savory rice noodles, chicken and a sprinkle of peanuts. The Massaman Curry was a surprise for me. I am a mild Curry fanatic and this did not disappoint. The sauce was silky with a delicate mild flavor of coconut milk, Curry, peanut and a gentle warm spice. Ok, so I think I might have found a favorite with this one. I am already wanting more. The Man liked my dishes too, and his own Summer Rolls and Won Ton soup. We are planning a return trip to sample more treats!

Everything was exceptional. When I walked in the door I was greeted by Nina...beautiful inside and out. She made me feel welcomed. My food was ready when I arrived. I ordered the Tom Kha soup, Thai fried rice with shrimp, and crab Rangoon. Everything was delicious and fresh. You can tell everything is made with love. It's an upscale restaurant that offers a high quality dining experience. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Thank you for excellent service and delicious food.

Came here from NY for my son's college graduation (5 hour drive). We checked-in to our hotel tired and hungry. This establishment was only 2min away from the Marriott. So very GLAD we came back out. Greeted by Nina - the owner, we were seated right away and took our order. Everything came out one after the other and was hot - By the time the main dish came out we were stuffed! The food was very well prepared and tasteful! Usually I add some sort of hot sauce or soy sauce - there was NO NEED at all! Thought the owner was only calling us "honey", she greets everyone with "honey", went around and made sure everyone was enjoying their meal. I was full but couldn't the fork down...the food was too GOOD! Very friendly establishment! Wish the Thai restaurants in NY made their dishes like THIS! Definitely 5 STARS!

This is not a high-rent location on a gentrified main street, and many folks would drive right by based on appearances. It also wasn't very busy, and that's a shame, because Tewada is absolutely fantastic. We were met by two very down-to-earth ladies enjoying a smoke break out front, and we knew right away that they were going to take good care of us. Our server was a sweetheart and a real character...we love to meet people like her. The place is not big, but it's well-worn and very cozy, and also super festive with all of the cute Easter decorations. We started with an order of fried dumplings, and they were very tasty, presented with care, and were obviously homemade. My wife then ordered a boba tea that she really enjoyed. For entrees we both went with a curry dish. My wife ordered the red curry noodles with shrimp, and she was very happy. She is not big on spicey food and went with the lowest level of spice - she chose 3 on the (kind of odd) 3-10 scale. Although it did have a small kick to it, you should not be scared if you too don't like hot and spicy food. I picked the massaman curry with chicken at 7 on the spice scale. I can't say enough about how much I liked the dish...fantastic! And speaking as someone who does like spicy food, a 7 is about as much as I would recommend for the typical American pallet. It was HOT, but still flavorful and enjoyable. Is this place fancy? No. However, the food was authentic, homemade, and not something you'll find very often. We watched as several locals came in for take-out or just boba for the kids, and it was clear from the long conversations that this place is valued in the community. We left with a smile, talked about it all afternoon, and will definitely be back. A solid 5!

Ever…read moresince I ate at Tewada Thai, I have compared every other Thai restaurant to their excellence. So far, the food here was the most authentic and the most delicious I've had. The food came out hot and the server made me feel like I was in their home dining room. My favorite dishes were the drunken noodles with beef and tofu, spicy level 7/10 and Somtom (Papaya Salad). I also highly recommend the pumpkin custard, it melts in your mouth! We also ordered the crispy fried whole pompano with garlic in advance, it was out of this world delicious with the special Thai sauce on the side. Who would've thought there would be authentic and delicious Thai food in Butler, Pennsylvania?
