This is the best Thai Place I've ever eaten at. The food is ridiculous, specifically the famous Pad Thai. It was out to us in maybe 10 minutes, probably less. My boyfriend got the Lava Chicken, this was his first time eating Thai, and long story short he's now a huge fan thanks to Elephant #8. I will say, if you like spice, this place does it very well. You get that spice but it's not to the point where you can't taste anything else. I stopped in for lunch on the way back from Grove City Outlets (only 12 mins away!) and was blown away by how good to food was. The lunch menu was extremely affordable and had lots of options for different curries, noodles, or fried rice. You also get a veggie spring roll with any lunch entree. I got the Pad Kee Mao with Chicken and it was fantastic. Service was really quick and there were lots of table at the restaurant. Parking was also pretty easy; it is street parking but there were plenty of spots. I will definitely go again! read more

Greatest food around! Hands down! Everytime I go I get something different, the Choices are incredible and the portions are huge! Can't beat the prices either! The staff is so kind and very friendly. It's very clean and cozy inside makes you feel relaxed and able to enjoy your meal. I was tempted to give this restaurant a 3 because my daughter's pad see ew was good and the restaurant was beautiful. I picked up takeout here while traveling, stopped specifically in slippery rock for Thai. However, I was extremely disappointed with the portion size of my meal. I ordered the Fresh Garlic with tofu, which was mainly just some tofu with a few shreds of carrot and a tiny amount of cabbage. There was one tiny piece of broccoli. The amount of tofu did not compensate for the lack of vegetables, which I was really looking forward to having (hence why I ordered that particular dish.) Also, I ordered brown rice, and the rice I was given was red? Not only that, but the rice take out container that is normally packed full, no matter where you go, was not even half full. Very meager portion that would typically be how much my leftovers would amount to. read more

I visites the new location in Sharon: As a Sharonite I love the fact that our downtown is growing. This restaurant is going to be such an asset to the community I can already tell! I ordered take away for my mom and I, ordering the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and the Pho. The pad kee mao was the perfect level of spicy where you could not stop eating it, even if you tried! My mom loved the Pad Thai as well! Though I didn't eat in the restaurant, the space was decorated beautifully and you could tell that the servers were attentive. Food is an amazing way to explore new cultures and if you are looking to try something new I highly recommend! After a long 5-hour drive, my daughter and I arrived in Slippery Rock, PA, tired and hungry. It was just after 9:00 PM, and most restaurants were already closed or shutting down for the night. We came across Elephant #8 Thai Restaurant and, even though they had just closed, the owner and staff kindly welcomed us in and prepared us a meal. Their kindness and hospitality were truly appreciated, and the food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and comforting after a long day on the road. Being from a small rural town in Northeast PA ourselves, it was heartwarming to see that same small-town generosity and community spirit here in Slippery Rock. Went with and on the recommendation of friends. Like me, they love Thai food, which by the way was simply outstanding. If spice I not your thing, don't be afraid of Thai food. I got take out last week. The service was slow. my order was about 20 minutes behind. by the time i got the food and got home it was cold. The morning following I had diarrhea and stomach cramps. With every bite, I said how amazing this place was. I think my fiancé was tired of me saying it so much! It was our first time here. Very busy, but the staff works hard and well together. The owner came around to every table, making sure everyone was taken care of, as well as taking orders and delivering food as needed. The prices are fair, as they give you a great potion! We come to slippery rock often for dinner and this place has been on my radar for months now. I love thai food, my fiancé never really had it, but I finally got him to venture here. This place was authentic, the best Thai food I've ever had. I got the red curry with jasmine rice while my fiancé got the pineapple chicken with jasmine rice, and we started with the crab Rangoon appetizer. As full as I was, I had to finish it because I never wanted it to end!! I was dying to try a dessert but we were way too full! Next time. We love Elephant #8!!!! We have been patronizing the Slippery Rock location for several years. We love Nina Gold and Koko. They are so kind and friendly as is the entire staff. We have been to the new location in Sharon four times. We love all the food especially the sushi. It's the best sushi I have ever had. So far, I have tried four kinds of sushi specialty rolls. I love all of them. I can't say enough about the authentic Thai food without MSG. I am allergic to MSG and I love that they don't use it. I highly recommend the curry, the crispy duck, the appetizers, the pad Thai, and the sushi. It's the best around and we are so lucky to have these two locations. I had the opportunity to get some take out from the newly opened Elephant #8 Thai restaurant today. I brought "The Man", who is a Thai novice to give him his first taste. I have spoken to some local people who are very curious never having eaten Thai food. While I am no expert let me say that Elephant #8 is serving up some delicious eats. The restaurant itself is lovely, offering indoor dining and take out. It's not a huge menu, but provides some fantastic Thai treats that are accessible to both newbies and more familiar food fans. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and packed some Massaman Curry for later. The Pad Thai is really delish. Who can argue with savory rice noodles, chicken and a sprinkle of peanuts. The Massaman Curry was a surprise for me. I am a mild Curry fanatic and this did not disappoint. The sauce was silky with a delicate mild flavor of coconut milk, Curry, peanut and a gentle warm spice. Ok, so I think I might have found a favorite with this one. I am already wanting more. The Man liked my dishes too, and his own Summer Rolls and Won Ton soup. We are planning a return trip to sample more treats! read more

Everything was exceptional. When I walked in the door I was greeted by Nina...beautiful inside and out. She made me feel welcomed. My food was ready when I arrived. Came here from NY for my son's college graduation (5 hour drive). We checked-in to our hotel tired and hungry. This establishment was only 2min away from the Marriott. So very GLAD we came back out. Greeted by Nina - the owner, we were seated right away and took our order. Everything came out one after the other and was hot - By the time the main dish came out we were stuffed! The food was very well prepared and tasteful! Usually I add some sort of hot sauce or soy sauce - there was NO NEED at all! Thought the owner was only calling us "honey", she greets everyone with "honey", went around and made sure everyone was enjoying their meal. Was up this way for work. Stopped here for dinner one night. Got Tilapia Pad Thai and Satay Chicken. The peanut sauce was ok. The chicken on the stick was very small pieces. The Tilapia was just laying on top of the pad thai and was flavorless. It was obvious it wasn't cooked with the dish. For the price, quality and quantity I wasn't impressed. It was just barely ok. I have had much better Thai food. The wait staff was nice enough and the inside/seating was ok. Parking was a bit of a pain. There is a lot behind the building to park in. I was quite pleased with my experience here. The owner is very nice, and the location is convenient as I am studying at the local University for my bachelor's degree in pickleology. The Karee Noodles had me flopping like a rainbow trout when it sees a dangling finger. You can't beat the milk tea and all the other special drinks. Went to the NEW Elephant8 Thai restaurant in SHARON, PA this afternoon. They seemed a bit disorganized, it took a long time to get waited on and served, (I got my meal after about 30 minutes, my friend had to wait another 10 minutes) but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for that because it's just the second day opening. The food was good. I noticed there was no handicap accessible ramp to the front door, just two steps right into the double doors. Maybe there is handicap access somewhere else, but not at the front entrance. I thought all businesses had to be accessible? Also, something a bit strange. They close the doors from 3:00-4:00 for "a break". I actually saw the owner turn people away at like 3:05 and then she posted signs on the entrance doors about the break. The hours posted on the website do show the hours as 11:00-3:00 4:00-9:00. I just have never known a restaurant to close the doors for a one hour break. read more

The food was great and flavorful. I got Pad Kee Mao. The service was excellence. I think the meats was lacking of quantity for the meals.
