    Large scallops!

Needed some comfort food after turning in my Mom's apt keys nearby (RIP Mom) & a local area query pulled up this restaurant. Upon approach, saw an almost full parking lot, which I knew to be a good sign. Was pleasantly greeted upon entrance- another good situation! The menu offered a good variety of choices: I decided upon #86 & not only was it filling, but delicious with my favorite varieties of seafood, pineapple, veggies & curry! The service provided was good throughout my meal- very attentive yet not overly so. I would definitely return if in the area again. Highly recommended!

Food here is always fresh, flavorful and delicious! The layers of sweet, spice, sour and sweet are a party in your mouth! My favorite is Pad Kee Mao, which is Drunken Noodles on their menu. It's my go to dish when I'm craving Thai because I love the wide rice noodles and flavor components. Their version is light on the heat so I ask for chili oil and add heat to please my palette. They are also light on the protein so I ask for extra chicken for $3 more. One order is then enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Big open space with plenty of booths and tables. They have a full bar. Service is friendly. They also do a lot of takeout. Have their own parking lot making it super convenient. I'm always going from Portland to Hood River and back, and Thai Carnation is often where I stop for dinner to eat there or takeout to enjoy at home.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm because we were hungry and it had been awhile since we has Thai food. We had excellent friendly service and our orders can quickly. The spring rolls were great as an appetizer. I had their signature peanut lovers noodles with chicken and my lovely date has chicken drunken noodles. Big portions and after we had our fill we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Highly recommended.

Thai Carnation is a good Thai Food restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food had good flavor. Overall, this was a good experience.

We came to this restaurant because we happened to be at a grocery store nearby on our Portland vacation. The ambience was nice. We arrived right as the restaurant opened for lunch. We had pumpkin for appetizer, which was good. The service from the staff was great. The pad Thai and cashew tofu we had was some of the best we've ever tried. I highly recommend coming here if in the area.

Tasty food, hearty portions, very friendly staff! A great place to get Thai food in Gresham!

This is the Pad See Ew with Shrimp no 58. Pad See Ew

I always get Pad See Ew usually Beef and no egg. And they give a lot of sliced beef meat. And I would give a 5 rating. But this time I decided to get ship to see how many I would get and how much I would be charged. I got the order to go and I was charged $18.00 for a lunch price of Pad See Ew with Shrimp and no Egg. So I was expecting a lot of shrimp. I only got 5 pieces of shrimp!! For $18 that's Ridiculous I won't ever order with Shrimp again!!

    Spicy eggplant with beef

Server was attentive, and promptly sat us, provided utensils and brought water to us immediately. Didn't have to wait too long to order our food on a weekday during lunch hour. My spicy eggplant with beef dish was not on the lunch special menu but glad I went with it because it was super good! The papaya salad was made lao style and had a good mix of sweet, sour and spicy favor. I will visit again if I'm back in the area!

The situation is like this, they really don't have their own parking at all. You have to pay for parking at the nearby park which is also where the bathrooms are. However, you can skip all this by going through the drive through, but it is a bit chaotic as you try to follow all the signs on how to get into the drive through, but be extra careful as kids and adults are paying attention and walk into the drive thru lane without looking. Since there is a wait for the drive through, they are smart to have QR codes to look at the menu while you are in line. They do have done picnic table setups for sitting down but also some tables inside Sugarpine. I think we waited about 10 min on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't so bad of a wait. They do warn you that they serve a 20% service fee on top of your order. However, I don't understand why. I got no table service. Basically a guy took my order and handed me my ice cream cup. I usually give 20% for real table service. Not sure if this is one of those charges they use to give the employees certain benefits? It was unclear to me. I'll be honest, I was very disappointed in the soft serve offerings. It was chocolate or vanilla or a swirl but there was a plant based offered that is a little more which is a bit more interesting. We got one chocolate vanilla swirl and one blueberry ube kids cup (5 oz) The had coconut vanilla as well, but I did not try it. I paid my just over $10 charge which wasn't too bad, but since there is no place to eat these I drove into downtown Troutdale to Harlow Park where it is free to park and plenty of covered tables. While I enjoyed my soft serve, it wasn't really anything special to me that I couldn't find in other Portland locations. In fact, I've had better. I do appreciate the family run business and the local kids that work there, I think it is a great thing, but honestly toss lace seems best for a stop on the way back from a day at the Gorge, else I won't go out of my way for it. Nothing wrong with it as I said, it tasted fine, but it did t blow my mind either. I did not get to try their BBQ offerings so I can't speak for that but it did small good. I know that have $10 offerings for dessert that have toppings and such but for me the base or foundation of it all is more important to me.

It was yummy, as was my ham, egg, and cheese breakfast croissant sandwich. The elevated plating for the croissant sandwich was a nice touch. Instead of blobbing mustard on the plate or offering packets, they gave my plate a pretty swoosh of mustard with a sprinkling of chopped chives. I didn't expect this, but I appreciate that they went the extra step, as we eat first with our eyes! This is definitely a great stop coming to or from The Gorge and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
