I came here for the first time on Saturday and it was a huge mistake. We made a reservation but were told that reservations aren't accepted on Saturday's so it must have been a glitch. The service was terrible. It took 30+ minutes for the server to come over. After that the server rarely checked on us. The food was terrible. I had their Mozzarella bites and fries. I could have made better in my air fryer at home. My friend has spinach dip which she said was disgusting. The ambiance was weird. People were mindlessly walking around and it was extremely loud due to a game being on. I won't be coming back here. I'll go to Yard House instead. They have better food and service. read more

Atmosphere: This place is huge, but gets packed especially on weekends. You probably want to arrive no later than six if you don't want to wait long for parking or a table. Tons of big screen tvs, and they have games to play. I would say it is a great place to get out of the house, but if you are avoiding crowds due to the current covid climate...it may not be for you. There are two huge bars, plus a nice patio. There are also private rooms upstairs that have big screens. Food: It's bar food- flatbread (like a small pizza here and not bad), artichoke spinach dip, etc. Our food could have been a little warmer when it came out, but it was not bad. Located right off of Montfort and Belt Line, which is at Belt Line and the Dallas North tollway, it's practically its own little country. There is upstairs seating, downstairs, seating, great place to watch the game with multiple TVs. They also have games, karaoke nights, and their bathrooms have a very unique design so that in the sink washing area, you can see through to the other side. So ladies please know that guy is not really in the women's bathroom, but when you wash your hands, he can see you and say Hi! They have a lot of interesting drinks and tasty bites to choose from and I've always found the waitstaff to be knowledgeable about the menu and offer good suggestions. Food and drinks Peach Bellini - delicious and sweet, and had quite a kick to it. Ranch water-a great drink if you are trying to watch your calorie intake, my friend really enjoyed this! Mozzarella bites -always a good appetizer. These little nuggets were crispy and tasty, although we did have to ask for a set of plates and another side of marinara sauce we ate every single one. Flatbread pizza -we ordered the cheese flatbread pizza. It was tasty with flavorful tomato/marinara sauce and cheese. Simple and flavorful with a nice crunchy crust. Tuna Nachos - these are a great appetite to share or if you're not super hungry. Seared Ahi tuna on a wonton chip with a slice of fresh jalapeño, lightly, seasoned and very fresh. Our server was London, and she had great suggestions, and even though she was busy, was very pleasant and had a beautiful upbeat attitude. The only downsides that I can even suggest improvement on, we ordered a drink for dessert as we were going into the stage area for the karaoke band. I ordered a porn star martini, and they did not have martini glasses because they were so busy. I'm big on presentation and certainly not London's fault, but to bring me a drink that's supposed to be in a martini glass and served in regular glass takes away some of the presentation experience for me. London did apologize when she got to the table but honestly I ended up taking the drink back up to the bar because it did not taste good. All in all, it was a great experience, and I certainly will be back. I will not however, be pre-paying for a $14 drink because I'm leaving a table in the event I need to get something else or it doesn't taste like the menu describes the drink. Check outside per social for something different to do, great people, watching, good patio, great place to watch a sport, or sing karaoke. So! I was super excited because I was in the area for NYE so I had to come back ASAP. First off I love love the atmosphere here. I could see how it could be a really lit spot for literally anything social lol duh. But it's really cute with the girls or even really intimate for dates! The service here was really great. Our waitress was very relatable and gave us recommendations. I wasn't really hungry but the sides I ordered were really good! One thing I would note is that the funnel cake fries were not that tasty. In mine and my cousin's opinion they didn't taste like the fair and they weren't crunchy enough. The ice cream was really weird, it's hard to explain. We decided to send it back because even though it's Instagram worthy, it wasn't worth the calories or the money. I appreciated the waitress for understanding! I would definitely come back to check out the patio scene because it deff looked like a vibe! Service tonight was horrible. I went for my birthday and regret it so much. It was 2 of us. They sat us right next to a large party of about 15. All of our waitresses attention went there. We were there for 2.5 hours and probably got served 3 times. I ordered a Cobb salad, they didn't put hug bacon. I let the waitress know. She said okay snf left the salad there. I'm thinking she'd gonna bring the soft of bacon. She then comes back to the other tackle if course, then Turns around and says "oh I hadn't them Mekong a replacement salad". Awesome. Eventually ,she comes over and picks the original salad up. But never brings the new one! I'm n soffit in to that, we had 2 drinks the entire find sitting there. Then when she brings the ticket she says "I took the salad off cause I didn't know if you still wanted it". Well, I definitely didn't say that I didn't want it. She offered to replace it. This is a fun place for games and watching sports. The food is an added bonus. I had the fried cheese for appetizer and spicy chicken sandwich. The spicy sandwich is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. It was full of unique flavors but had the perfect crunch and explosion of heat. The fried mozzarella was good but overshadowed with the chicken sandwich. All I can say is WOW!! The burnt ends nachos were good and different since it was made with wonton chips. We came here with my sister-in-law and her friends who are avid Karaoke singers! They have a live band playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays - if I'm not mistaken. Food and drinks are enjoyable - the happy hour drinks are so good! The cheese pizza is good, as are the brussel sprouts. The only miss, food wise, was the charred corn guacamole. This place is a joke! Showed up today when place was maybe 30-40% full with 2 friends. Put in orders for food and it took them 2 HOURS TO BRING US OUR FOOD! Server hardly ever came by. Manager or assistant manager had to keep coming over making excuses and apologizing and telling us how our food was coming. Had to beg to get one water refill for one friend, get a beer refill on another, and ask where the other drink was that never came. They comped our meal and when it finally came I boxed it up and left. The pathetic thing is this is now the second time in a row they've offered to comp my meal because they never bring your food out and service is terrible over and over again. I've had it! They've been open a long time now and shouldn't have these kinds of issues. This place is poorly managed, terrible service, and food is nothing worth waiting 2 hours for. I'm going to be honest...I initially thought this place was mostly hype when it first opened up, like how Dallas is when new things open up. And I was definitely proven wrong. I decided to go during a Tuesday night since Sidecar Social is incredibly busy during the weekends. This place is huge! Two floors huge! With two bar areas! The first bar area can be found when you first walk in. It's a bar that is also connected to the outdoor area, so it's an indoor/outdoor bar type. The other bar is located deeper inside where most of the games are located. Speaking of games....they are all free! They have giant Jenga and Connect Four outside. Inside, they have darts, shuffleboard, bocce ball, cornhole, bocce ball, ping pong, and a giant foosball table. And if that's not enough, they even have karaoke upstairs on the second floor! However, I'm not sure if karaoke is free since I didn't get a chance to ask. I'm a big fan of an old fashioned cocktail. And they happened to have one on tap. I've had it on tap before at other Dallas bars, and was not very impressed. But the one at Sidecar Social was pretty darn good! So good that I stuck with that drink all night! They also offer other cocktail options and a few beers on tap and in bottles. Wine options are available as well. I thought the food was going to be average since it was your typical bar food. Come to find out, they have their own in-house chef that overlooks everything! My fiancee and I shared the carnivore flatbread, lemon pepper chicken wings, and side of macaroni and cheese. I went here for brunch one Sunday with a friend. We were planning on sitting on their patio but it was way too windy so we sat at the bar in the front area. I had a Spicy Bloody Mary $9.00 and then a few Jameson's $9.00 each. I got the Southern Breakfast Platter $12.00 which comes with: 2 biscuits with jalapeno sausage gravy, 2 eggs your way (I got over easy), 2 slices of bacon and breakfast potatoes. The bartender Mike recommended putting the eggs on top of the biscuits and adding Cholula. I will note that I could not tell that there was any jalapeno or sausage in the gravy but it still tasted good. This mixture was good enough taste wise, the runny yolk made a "sauce" like addition to it. I ate 1 or 2 of the breakfast potatoes but they are super meh, no seasoning and not crispy at all. My review is based on the food itself. In regards to the service I would give it 5 stars. Mike was funny and a pleasant conversationalist. What really makes me give a 5 star rating for service is there was an elderly woman who was really cold and she did not have a jacket so Mike offered his sweatshirt which she took. I ordered the Burnt End Nachos and a Burger. The Nachos were extremely greasy. The burger was also very greasy. Regular drinks were very pricey. My stomach yelled at me for the rest of the night for the food. Service was horrible. Server did not mention any happy hour specials (we found them on our own). We really enjoy brunching at Sidecar Social. They have an expansive deck with shade trees and large TVs. Perfect for lounging and watching weekend games while enjoying Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. We often bring our dog with us, and she is always welcomed! The food is excellent whether you order off the brunch or lunch menu. The service is a little slow, and I am deducting a star for this reason. But, we have grown used to it over time and realize it is part of the laid-back vibe. It isn't that the servers are bad. THE AMAZING GHOST SERVER! I've been a fan of Sidecar Social for a few years, but not today. Once our server took our order she did not check back on us til well after we'd finished our meal (We were served our food by someone else) so she was MIA about 35 mins or so. In that time I needed salt, a diet Coke and a water refill. I would have considered ordering dessert but she was nowhere to be found. I physically got up and searched the dining room. Finally had to ask a hostess to find our server. She came to clear the dishes but seemed surprised I was looking for my check. I asked where she'd been and her answer was "I've been serving on the patio". Apparently the patio crowd is MUCH more important than we are so I hope they tip her well (I always tip 20% to 25%) but her service was only minimum-wage-worthy. My husband and I are foodies. We recently moved from Miami and the Dallas food scene has not disappointed. We found this spot via Instagram. The social media marketing is great. Don't get me wrong, the venue is beautiful very modern and clean. However, the food and drinks are a bit overpriced. We ordered the brisket nachos $14. When the nachos arrived, they were drenched in oil! The guac was dark and the brisket looked liked grinned chicken. NOT PLEASANT! Our server was nice enough to remove the food off the bill without us even asking her to. For that, I'm grateful. Our drinks were watered down with no taste of alcohol.
