First of all, I love the ambience! It's perfect for groups and/or date night! However, the service here was absolutely atrocious!! We got there at 5:30 pm, hoping for Happy Hour. We were told we could only do happy hour at the restaurant and not here at The Sidebar. However, when we sat at the bar, the waitress gave us happy hour menus! Really? Anyway, we ordered our food and drinks. Soon afterwards, a table opened up so we moved. Our food finally came out, but I ordered a cheeseburger and it came out w/o cheese! Before I could tell the server that my burger had no cheese, she was gone! I waited another 10-15 minutes before anyone came to check on us! I told the person about my cheeseless cheeseburger and they brought out a piece of cheese 7-8 minutes later!! WTH!! Wean while, my friends ordered the smoked beets but they forgot, so my friend flagged down a waiter and asked for her order! It came out with the cold piece of cheese! (Insert eye roll here!) I'm willing to give this place another chance because it as such a cute place! However, get your servers trained on customer service! Everything about my visit was splendid!! We wanted the delicious food from Ocotillo but also a fine cocktail. And Sidecar Social Club fit the bill. The ambiance and service were great. It was a cool evening for it being September in the desert. And I delighted in being outside, next to the dozens of string lit trees and vast open space. It was good for the souls after being indoors most of summer. The drinks were original and fantastic. We had the Apollo and Starlet. I loved the Starlet!!! We definitely ordered too much food. And don't regret it. I want to order everything on the Ocotillo menu. The chef knows what he is doing. And I imagine the kitchen is well run. The gem salad was truly a gem. I have day dreamed of it a few times since. I could have been satisfied with that alone. (And Starlet, of course) The wings were sticky deliciousness. I only wish they were served with wet towels/wipes. We also enjoyed the market fish (halibut ) and pasta with ragu. Oh my. They were both perfect. This restaurant has a main restaurant and then this little sidecar bar detached and to the rear of the property. It is extremely cute and romantic and only a stone throw from my Girlfriend's apartment. She brought me here for a drink after picking me up from the airport because she really likes the ambiance and knew I would too. We ordered our drinks, which were made to perfection, and ended up ordering dinner and having two or three rounds. The bartender was very helpful and happy to talk to us about the drinks and food menu. We plan to return and sit down for dinner in the main restaurant and I know my Girlfriend will return for drinks at the sidecar and we will again when I come into town to visit her. Lodged in the other side of a gorgeous property occupied by Ocotillo, he had a vision for an unused room, and has put it to great use. If it weren't for the bold, red signage, it would be lowkey enough to perhaps qualify as a speakeasy. On the chalkboard, you'll see a list of classics he can have ready in a jiffy. His French 75 was tart, crisp, and dry--far better than what I've had at several more established lounges. His Manhattan was impeccable as well. For what the menu lacks in depth, it makes up for in execution. You just can't go wrong. Keep in mind it's unwise to just pound cocktails the entire night. Lighten things up with his beer selection, and if the hour is right, order food from across the yard at Ocotillo! Sidecar is definitely my new chill spot, and I can't wait to come back. read more

Stopped in on a Friday around 5 and it wasn't too busy so we snagged one of the plush comfortable booths in the corner. Our servers were very prompt and attentive. They offered a lot of good drink suggestions based on our various cocktail tastes. We enjoyed the setting sunset over the bar. I ordered the Aviatrix which had such a delicious foam on top. My friends had the Berry Hot Head and the Signature Sidecar which were both amazing drinks as well. I'll be back to try more drinks on their menu! They also serve the entirety of the Ocotillo menu. We ordered a strawberry and ricotta appetizer to share which was immaculate and so fresh. Overall I recommend Sidecar Social Club for a laid back cocktail experience in a lovely ambience. read more

We were headed to Glai Baan for my wife's birthday dinner, but wanted to stop and have a nice cocktail somewhere beforehand, so we decided to try Sidecar, turned out to be a great choice by us (Pat on the back Jory & Erika)! I had an old fashioned (I'm the boring one) & my wife had a mezcal drink that I am once again forgetting the name, it was the drink on the top right of the menu. Regardless, both were amazing! I was chatting with the bartender about how so many places think all old fashioneds are the same since they don't have a lot of ingredients, which couldn't be farther from the truth. This old fashioned was perfect, the balance of all the flavors couldn't have been much better. As for my wife's drink, the Smokey mezcal flavor was absolutely present, but not overpowering at all either. Not to mention the ambiance was really cool, it's tucked away back in the courtyard area behind Ocotillo in what looks like a little shipping container. Drinks aren't cheap, but for the target audience they're going for, they're doing a great job. read more

We have been to Ocotillo a couple times and only our first time to sidecar club. What a beautiful surprise. As soon as you walk in, the decor will welcome you letting you knew you are at some place good. The green velvet booths are pleasantly lit with spot lights and the walls are decorated well. Service is fantastic and so are the cocktails. We were glad we got there a little early and were able to get a booth. The place got packed very quickly after. Food I'd Imagine is from the same kitchen and though we didn't have any at sidecar (I'll write my review of Ocotillo later), I can comment here from my experience there that the food is good.
