For my birthday I had the pleasure of taking this guided scenic tour by Ray. Ray wears many hats and you'll find that you have something in common with him by the end of your ride! He was safe, accommodating, punctual, knowledgeable, and a hospitable host. The side car is roomy for the front passenger (enough space to but your purse/backpack on the floor) but I can't speak for the rear passenger lol. My bf and I both think that the side car could use some padding around the inside where our knees naturally leaned against the metal. If possible maybe more leg room for the rear passenger as well? I liked the places Ray took us but a little more structured history or info would have been cool as I love that kind of insight. Overall it was a great time and I really appreciate that it appears that they hire seasoned riders (like myself ) who knows, maybe I'll be working here when I retire! Ride safe y'all! read more

The company is a scam and refuses to refund us for a tour they canceled. Avoid them at all costs. I booked for a tour in SLO in 2023 and the day before they text me and said the tour was canceled and that we would get a refund. However, since then, I have tried to contact them countless times over the past year (see photos for texts and I have placed many more calls) and have gotten no response and no refund. At this point it is clear they are intentionally withholding my refund with the hopes that I will forget. This has happened to multiple other user on both Yelp and TripAdvisor. Luckily for me, their HQ is local to me so I will be filing a small claims suit against the company to recover the amount they stole. read more

Coming from this native San Diegan this was an amazing, exciting way to spend a day in the town we all know and love. We opted for the 11:30am tour, not too early yet gave us plenty of time to do whatever else we needed to. We met with our guide, Cesar at the Legacy International Center and Hotel in Mission Valley. Cesar gave us a brief overview of the tour and went over the all important safety guidelines. The sidecar was very roomy and an overall comfortable ride, there was plenty of room for my hubby and I. The day was perfect, not too hot and when you are on the road with the wind blowing it actually got quite chilly. Drivers take side streets, this allows for a more scenic drive. We drove through town, past Old Town and Little Italy to our first destination, Pali Wine Co. off of India Street. We each got a wine tasting flight of four tastings (included with the tour) and you can choose your wines or go with Pali's suggestions (which we did). We had enough time to enjoy the view from the top of Pali and enjoy our wine and a bite to eat. From here we rode through Downtown San Diego, along the water to the Midway. We stopped by the Midway along the water where Cesar gave us a brief history and some info on the Midway and grabbed a few pics. Afterwards we made our way back through Downtown and headed to where we started from, the Legacy. Once we made it back to the Legacy we were taken upstairs and welcomed with a bottle of wine (again given several options between white or red) and a beautiful charcuterie platter. All in all this was an amazingly different experience. Cesar was a great guide and offered little tidbits of information along our ride. He also always checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our day. Cesar was super friendly and just a great tour guide. If you are looking for a unique and different way to tour San Diego you must try Sidecar tours! You will see a very different side of San Diego. We had so much fun and it was truly a great experience. Looking forward to trying out their Temecula tour as well! Make sure you request Cesar, he is awesome! read more

What an amazing way to see San Diego! Our host Cesar was professional, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. My partner and I started our tour in Old Town and Cesar greeted us promptly at our scheduled time. He gave us a brief history of the two seater sidecar motorcycle, then a quick safety overview, and we were off! We went to Liberty Station first and had plenty of time to sample a variety of food and beverage venues, then took a scenic route down Harbor Drive with amazing views of the bay and the docked sailboats. After swinging down by the historic USS Midway and then through Seaport Village we toured Little Italy, and it was so cool to see the neighborhood from this perspective. We finished the afternoon heading down the Prado with the sun at our backs (incredible lighting) and spent some time in Balboa Park before returning to our pick up location. This was such a fun and unique way to explore San Diego with the added bonus of wine along the way! Our guide, Ray, was so friendly and such a wealth of knowledge. We drove by Old Town, Embarcadero, and a few other places! We had a lovely versatile wine flight at Pali Wine and were definitely ready to go back to try more as well as try more of their food! The flight was included in the side car tour price, but we also purchased one of Pali Wine's appetizers. Our final wine stop was at our starting place, Legacy Hotel (Teresa's Italian Steakhouse), where we enjoyed a full bottle of wine of our choice and a delicious charcuterie spread. My boyfriend surprised me this weekend with a sidecar tour for our anniversary and it was such a blast!! We did the "Brewery Tour" and our driver, Paul, was amazing and made our day super special! Paul gave us the background on URAL motorcycles and explained the history of the sidecar. He took us through Little Italy where we stopped at Ballast Point for some beers, Coronado Brewing Co., and Stone Brewery & Gardens in the Liberty Public Market. We had so much fun riding alongside Ray in this tour. To be clear on the San Diego tour, you do not visit wineries. We went to Pali Wine Company in Little Italy and enjoyed some of their wines (flight included with tour) and then we ended at Liberty Station Public Market where we were able to pick out a bottle of wine from the bottle shop (and enjoy outside at the Market). Quite honestly, I would just do a tour with Ray and skip the wine. He was great - and drove us around downtown San Diego and the bay, providing lots of information. The sidecar was fun and relatively comfortable (especially with the blanket provided by Ray). If you do the tour - request Ray! (The four stars are for him.
