This tour was incredible! We did the wine tasting and got two wine flights each, a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board included with this! Ron went above and beyond, told us the history, took photos, and was just such a pleasant person to spend the day with. THANK YOU!

For my birthday I had the pleasure of taking this guided scenic tour by Ray. Ray wears many hats and you'll find that you have something in common with him by the end of your ride! He was safe, accommodating, punctual, knowledgeable, and a hospitable host. The side car is roomy for the front passenger (enough space to but your purse/backpack on the floor) but I can't speak for the rear passenger lol. My bf and I both think that the side car could use some padding around the inside where our knees naturally leaned against the metal. If possible maybe more leg room for the rear passenger as well? I liked the places Ray took us but a little more structured history or info would have been cool as I love that kind of insight. Overall it was a great time and I really appreciate that it appears that they hire seasoned riders (like myself ) who knows, maybe I'll be working here when I retire! Ride safe y'all!

Amazing tour.we're going to coming back soon. Steve's guide us, so many great things we haven't heard about San Diego yet and we're grateful for that.

Steve was a great tour guide! I'm from San Diego and it was still fun. I would def recommend for people out of town that wants an experience of the city.

Their initial text canceling the tour and promising a refund that never came.

The company is a scam and refuses to refund us for a tour they canceled. Avoid them at all costs. I booked for a tour in SLO in 2023 and the day before they text me and said the tour was canceled and that we would get a refund. However, since then, I have tried to contact them countless times over the past year (see photos for texts and I have placed many more calls) and have gotten no response and no refund. At this point it is clear they are intentionally withholding my refund with the hopes that I will forget. This has happened to multiple other user on both Yelp and TripAdvisor. Luckily for me, their HQ is local to me so I will be filing a small claims suit against the company to recover the amount they stole.

We had the absolute best experience with Steve! He was not only super knowledgeable about the San Diego area, he was so much fun! Super cool guy, fantastic tour. Definitely will book with him again!

We surprised one of our friends for her thirtieth birthday with the beer tour and we had the BEST time! Steve and Ray gave us a fantastic tour of gorgeous sights and delicious breweries. They were so sweet and fun! My group and I can't wait until we do it again!

I found Sidecar Tours and bought two San Diego brewery tours for my wife and I on her birthday. I must say it was an amazing experience! Our guide Steve was so kind and was full of information as he drove us around San Diego. Felt completely safe the entire time. Steve went out of his way to make sure my wife and I had the best experience. At our last stop, while my wife stepped away, he asked if she had fun. A truly amazing experience with Steve and Sidecar Tours!

We were recommended by a friend to do this wine tour in San Diego, and I can say with all transparency that my friends and I loved every moment of it. The drivers were very kind, polite, and knowledgeable, they drove very safely and made sure we all had safety precautions taken. I have been in San Diego for 5 years now and I had never seen some of the places that they took us! And even the places that we knew seemed much more interesting. I highly recommend doing this tour and enjoying every moment. Thank you Sidecar Tours for an amazing adventure.

What an amazing way to see San Diego! Our host Cesar was professional, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. My partner and I started our tour in Old Town and Cesar greeted us promptly at our scheduled time. He gave us a brief history of the two seater sidecar motorcycle, then a quick safety overview, and we were off! We went to Liberty Station first and had plenty of time to sample a variety of food and beverage venues, then took a scenic route down Harbor Drive with amazing views of the bay and the docked sailboats. After swinging down by the historic USS Midway and then through Seaport Village we toured Little Italy, and it was so cool to see the neighborhood from this perspective. We finished the afternoon heading down the Prado with the sun at our backs (incredible lighting) and spent some time in Balboa Park before returning to our pick up location. I can't recommend this company and our host enough! (se habla espanol, fyi)

Our group of 8 had a incredible time with these guys. We cruised around all San Diego for hours and even made tops to drinks many sorts of wine. If you wanna have some fun, try this!

We started out at the Our Lady of the Rosary Church for the history of the Italians coming to San Diego. It was stunning the day after Christmas and some of the Pastors were there too. We stayed here a bit long for all this food but they accommodate me having a pine nut allergy which was very nice. Then onward to Landini's (the upstairs restaurant) where we had meatballs and pancetta with mozzarella with a little red wine ... again incredible!! We were late for our last stop before dessert so he improvised in the best way possible and Monello's accommodated our party of 11 with a liqueur, bread with shaved amazing cheese then the mist heavenly lemon cheese homemade pasta stirred together in a cheese wheel. We were stuffed by this point but then we had dessert. Salunto bakery and gelato. I had coconut gelato. What a great night. We got history, a beautiful walk and the most food I've ever had on a food tour. Excellent job!!!

This was, hands down, the best walking tour we've done, and we do these regularly around the world. We met our guide, Blerta (aka B) under the Gaslamp sign, and promptly started our tour. Our first Bites and Booze stop was at Meze Greek Fusion, were we sampled sangria and an interesting Greek quesadilla (sounds strange, yet it worked). We learned a bit about the company that owns Meze, and then continued our tour through the Gaslamp, learning a ton about its history. Our second stop was at Double J's BBQ, where we enjoyed an in-house lager and a pork belly taco. For those who "know" BBQ, and think that there's no way a BBQ joint works in CA, of all places...think again. This was damned good. We continued our tour, again learning more about the history of the Gaslamp. Let me interject here and say that Blerta was a fountain of information, delivered in a way that you can tell she loves doing these tours. Our third stop was The Field - an Irish restaurant that we've visited in the past (when one is married to an Irish woman, you can sort of expect that). It's always fun to walk through the restaurant, where the decor is over 100 years old. We tried an Irish Mule (go figure) and a Shepard's Pie. For me, the bite wasn't my thing...but then, I'm not Irish. Our last stop was a stunner - Cali Cream. I'm not a sugar person, so rarely have ice cream. But Blerta gave us the rundown on how they make the ice cream every morning, so when it was time to place my sample order, I went with Rocky Road (truly the Champaign of ice cream, IMHO). My wife with with Pistachio. The samples were HUGE, and incredibly delicious (easily the best Rocky Road I've ever had). Bottom line, GREAT way to spend an afternoon exploring the history of the Gaslamp (who knew there were so many brothels in Gaslamp in the 1800s?) The booze and bites selections were well done, Blerta was simply awesome, and we'll definitely be giving So Diego Food Tours another go. HIGHLY recommended.

The two of us had fun, but I was concerned for the others. To be brutally honest, if this was my first food tour, I might not have the greatest impression of food tours in general, which would be unfair to everyone involved. I spent the entire tour just trying to figure out not necessarily the directions to the next top, but the direction of what this tour was trying to achieve. Was it supposed to be packed with food? Because I wasn't stuffed. Was it supposed to be a culinary experience? Because it did not show much intrigue after the first place. And it didn't help that the tour ended about an hour earlier than the projected end time. Now, don't get me wrong. Everything we ate was delicious. And Annette (our guide for the day, who also happens to be the head honcho of 'A Taste of San Diego' food tours) was very nice, courteous, and knowledgeable when asked questions during the tour. The tour itself showed some of the struggles in collaborations with the businesses in the area. Translation: 'How can we show off these awesome places if they're not even available (and sometimes unwilling) for food tours?' What was good about this tour? It featured some fine places in the area that can be seen as landmark locations that put South Park on the map. What could have made this tour more interesting? - HISTORY. Tidbits about the area that aren't obvious and can't easily be found out on our own. We understand that it would take extra work to prepare, but it all invests into potentially a great tour. - STARTING INSIDE OUR FIRST STOP. This time, it wasn't an issue at all, but it can be. The location where we met could have easily sent tour group patrons far away. Thankfully, the blocks were not big. - MORE STOPS. Like I said earlier, there could easily have been a setback in scheduling and accommodation, but the amount of stops we had (3) honestly did not leave us satisfied. Three stops honestly felt like a regular night out even without a tour. In closing, what I'm basically saying is that there's so much potential for tours in these areas. I would still support them because I believe in the concept. I just think that as a patron, I would want to know and experience as much as possible from the time I'm dedicating to a tour. In the meantime, until they figure out the details of how to improve, you'd be better off at any of those self-guided walk-abouts (like Taste of Adams Avenue) to get your own free samples and have an experience that is just as good, if not better.
