Elevator advertising worked! Hubby saw the olive-fed A5 wagyu poster and decided that he needed it for dinner! Lol! I reminded him our last A5 experience in SF, so we just shared a 4oz and a seafood tower. This was a better A5 experience and taste than what I remembered in SF pre-covid. I would recommend it..but I think 2oz/person is more than enough due to how rich/fatty the meat is. Nothing really to write home on the seafood tower except I discovered Chef's Creek oysters, but that's just 2 oysters out of the whole tower. For being in BC, I had higher expectations on the rest of the seafood offerings... Service was great, love the restaurant ambience.

Because of an Amex Plat perk, our stay at the Four Seasons Whistler included $220 worth of dining credit. So we decided to take ourselves to their fancy steakhouse one night. They only have reservations from 6 and 8 PM. For drinks, I had some kind of pineapple mocktail. It was overly sweet and a little too sour. I ended up watering it down myself, but it would have been nice with some seltzer in it to make it less sweet. Hubby had the Third Pole (Angel's Envy bourbon, artichoke amaro, chaga tea with cardamom and sarsaparilla bark, lemon, Bittered Sling Kensington Aromatic Bitters), which is inspired by a whiskey sour. I do like how unique their cocktails are - each are 'inspired' by a classic cocktail, and they put their own spin on it. They started us off with some freshly baked rosemary bread with maple butter. The bread was really good, but the butter was even better. I didn't think I liked maple, but this butter may have converted me. I found myself eating more of the bread just so I could eat the butter. For mains, I went with the Miso Cod (dark white miso glaze, pickled daikon, momiji oroshi and ponzu emulsion) and he had the 20 oz bone-in striploin. My cod was very tender and fresh. Texture-wise, it might have been the best cod I've ever eaten. Forget about the frozen filets you see in the supermarket. This was nothing like that. The flavor was just okay - too much going on. Also, the pickled daikon that was mentioned on the menu was just pickled ginger. The steak was much bigger than we thought it would be - we thought it would be mostly bone, but it's nice that it wasn't. Hubby seemed to enjoy it, and it was cooked to the requested medium rare. We also had a side of the Yukon Potato Puree with Confit Garlic, which our waitress said is enough for more people, but that also came with more than we expected. It was good but very rich and I kind of wish I opted for a veggie of some sort instead. We skipped dessert but while we were talking to the waitress, the topic of babies came up and we mentioned we were on our babymoon. She was very sweet and brought out a dessert on the house. It had a pistachio macaron, some sort of chocolate caramel tort, and some berries. It was a nice, sweet finish to the meal. We probably would not have dined here had we not had the dining perk but I'm glad it gave us a chance to check it out, because it was a nice experience.

Lovely Ambiance here ... no bar in the restaurant but the drinks were delicious. We started with vodka Martini w blue cheese stuffed olives. Staff was and friendly and our waiter, Damien, was vey knowledgable, efficient and professional. We started by sharing Grilled Octopus which was flavorful, tender & very nicely prepared. Second course... we shared a Gem Lettuce Caesar Salad which they spit for us in the kitchen and was tasty and fresh. For our main course, we shared the 16 ounce Ribeye Steak served medium rare and a side of Kale w Caramelized onions. The temperature of the steak was perfect and the flavor was great! We both found the entire meal to be delicious!

FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE is all . Our server, Jessica, was so exceptional and truly made our experience from good to great. It was a busy night and we didn't enjoy our halibut much, but the steak was delicious and the wine selection was on point. I never finish my desserts (not a sweets person) but the chocolate pistachio dish was phenomenal!! My husband loved the brownie dish too! This might be our new favorite spot when we visit Whistler.

Long over due... my friends and I took a trip out to Whistler late March and for our last night we were able to get reservations at Sidecut Steakhouse... let me tell you it did not disappoint. Everything from the ambiance, the service, and food was on point! We ordered a lot of food for 3 of us, the Long-Bone Age Dried Rib Eye, Seafood Tower, Wild Myshroom Risotto... everything was perfect! My favorite was the oysters and the ceviche from the tower... the steak was perfect! Our server was Lison (so?) she was sooo kind, very happy, and cared about her job and it showed! Thank you Lison and staff! Don't know when I'll come back to Whistler but I'm definitely coming back to eat here when I do!

    20 oz Bone In Sirloin

Took a trip out to Whistler for a snowboarding trip and decided to try a fancy (bougie) steakhouse at the four seasons hotel called Sidecut! My buddies and I walked in and immediately felt a bit out of place because it was such a fancy spot and we were pretty much in sweats. So just a heads up, not a suit and tie spot but definitely not a spot to dress down. We each ordered ourselves a steak and sides that we wanted and got some beers as well. They served us some bread and herb butter that was absolutely delicious! The bread was warm, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy soft interior, and it felt like it came right out the oven! The butter with it was amazing delicious with herbs that helped it to give it some depth of flavor that really helped it to give it some extra flavor that really put it over the top and was quite literally the best bread and butter I've ever had at a restaurant. I got the Bone In Sirloin, and it was amazing! Seasoned well and cooked to medium rare perfection, it was tender and moist with a nice sear on the outside and well seasoned without being salty. We got some sides of sautéed mushrooms which were so tasty and Mac and cheese which was also delicious! The mushrooms were cooked perfectly, had a slight bite and seasoned to perfection, while the Mac and cheese was baked with bread crumbs and a rice cheese sauce. Overall it was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend going!

My boyfriend and I have now been here twice; once a year ago and just recently. Quite a bit changed between now and then, especially in terms of their menu. Whereas before it seemed to have a more lax, almost casual dining ambiance, it appears that they now are going for something a bit more high end. The first time we came left such a good impression which is why we ended up coming back. I think we need to take a moment to appreciate how good the bread and maple butter are. Oh my goodness. So warm and crunchy and amazingly delicious. Would return solely for the bread and butter tbh haha We had the -Oysters: I believe they were Kusshi and Chef's creek! -House Made Butternut Gnocchi, served with Squash: so good. We asked if it could be plated into two separate plates and they not only accommodated, but they did so beautifully. The texture was great, it could've had perhaps a bit of a stronger flavour, but quite delicious. -Wagyu Black Label Flat Iron: so good. Chose not to get a rub with it because we wanted to appreciate the flavour of the beef. Perhaps not as tender as we would've liked, but the flavour was *chef's kiss* -New York Strip: we had it with Black Angus rub. Delicious. -Sautéd Mushrooms: ASK FOR THEM TO ADD ONIONS BELIEVE ME IT'S LIFE CHANGING. So delicious. Also it was a variety of mushrooms (shiitake and more). For dessert none of them caught our eye so we had an ice cream sandwich. The little caramel chocolate at the end was a nice touch. We also had a paper plane cocktail and a Golden Bridge sour. Would probably skip the golden bridge sour next time (had a slight medicinal taste to it, wish the passion fruit stood out)

Sidecut is by far our number 1 stop for a quality meal when in Whistler. Mountain town food isn't always the best, but here at Sidecut, they are next level. To our surprise, the seafood and steaks were the best quality and cooked to perfection. Amazing food, services and vibes.

    Marcus K.

Definitely a top notch steak experience at the Four Seasons in Whistler. Sidecut has a large loud bar area that you walk though but then you get to the back for a more intimate and quiet experience. Service was excellent and we had a wonderful experience. Started with sockeye sashimi which was fresh and tender. We ordered a delicious ribeye with the angus rub but in retrospect should have just gotten it salt and peppered. The rub was super salty and took away from the meat's own natural taste. Our sides were garlic potatoes which were also very good and squash for a vegetable. Too full for desert so did not try any. If you are looking for a romantic meal or good steak, this is the place.

Mountain side white wine sangria - st remy vsop, peach schnapps, white wine, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon

I visited this restaurant during their Beerbq festival and it was such a fun time! All seating was outdoors under a large tent and the tables had red checkered picnic-style tablecloths. Drinks were bought by tickets (there were deals for multiples of beer/wine bought etc) I tried the mountainside white sangria and it was delicious! Maybe a tad more fruit juice than alcohol but I prefer it fruitier anyways. It was buffet style with a salad bar section, a sides section, a small dessert section and 7 barbequed items. Some of the items that stood out to me was the mac and cheese, which featured larger rigatoni pasta which the sauce filled into each tube and it was super cheesy and evenly spiced. Complete with breadcrumbs and I had to have seconds for that ! The roasted lamb, flank steak with chimichurri and BBQ ribs were my top 3 meats. I found the wood fired salmon fillet to be too dry as they had everything on skillets which probably continued to cook the fish. The paella was was a nice flavourful mouthful and the rice was not mushy. They had a cute donut wall but the donuts were a bit stale. A dense caramel rice krispie square was good but way too sweet and heavy to finish a whole piece. Fresh cut water melon that was sitting in iced water was a nice refreshing end to the meal. Overall not too outstanding but combined with the summer vibes its a nice place to have a meal with colleagues, friends or family and to get away from the city bustle!

We've eaten here numerous times and have always enjoyed their food quality, excellent service and resort ambience. We were there for lunch and service was great, we stayed inside but their outdoor patio would be just as nice. there were seven of us and we were placed at a long table with two tables put together. The chairs were not quite at the right height, a bit too low in my opinion so it was a bit uncomfortable. We had their steak, BBQ ribs, tuna burger, steamed mussels and Niçoise salad. Everything tasted very good but I felt that the Niçoise salad could use a few slices of avocado. While the $59.00 steak was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful, its presentation was a let down - the plate didn't come with any garnish, just a bunch of sloppy French fries on the side. We would definitely go back there again when we're in Whistler. I would recommend trying their brunch, their delicious steak and eggs never disappoints.

    Tenderloin

One of my most favorite steakhouses I'd ever gone to. It's in Whistler upper village so it's quieter and less crowded. Went for dinner in a group of 7 mid-March for dinner and while all of the steakhouses in the main village were booked for a group of 7, someone in our group managed to get us a reservation for Sidecut last minute. Lighting is dim for dinner so it's romantic and fancy and bougie. Decor is like a modern cabin house. Bread was good. All of the sides we ordered were good. Tenderloin with black angus rub was perfect. Our table bought a few rounds of shots and so the server gave us a round of shots on the house. Maybe it was just good food or maybe it was the alcohol but it was great.

Cowboy Dinner for four. 56 ounce porterhouse.
    Adam S.

Very expensive, but from drinks to appetizers to entree to dessert, everything is incredible. We called Saturday morning before we left for the ski lifts to make a reservation for that night. The earliest we could get was 8:45pm. When we arrived, we were given a coat check. We then started with cocktails, which were delicious. I had a Canadian whiskey with maple syrup. Sounded strange, but was tasty. There were four people in our party who ordered the Cowboy, which includes a 56 ounce porterhouse, 4 appetizers, 4 sides and a bottle of wine. This is one BIG steak! I started with the spinach salad with steak. Both the spinach and steak were tasty. As a side salad, I would have been happy with a half-portion size, but the salad was good. For my entree, I decided to go with an off-menu special, the elk steak. It was delicious and would definitely order it again. I agree with other Yelpers about the gimmicky rubs that are offered and just went with the recommended one. Good flavor. Overall, our meal was over $150cad a person. It was the most expensive meal on our trip, but think it was mostly due to costly appetizers, salads, drinks, and desserts. If you are coming just for steak and a side (or even shrimp/scallop add-ons), you will get a moderately priced meal. But, I was on vacation...who wants to do that? I would like to return and try the deer.

The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

We haven't visited Whistler in years, I was looking forward…read moreto this trip because we had booked what I thought was the top rated restaurant there but boy was I ever wrong. Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.
