Needed some brake work on my 2001 RoadGlide. My brother referred me to Lawrence and his shop Sideways Cycles. Lawrence goes out of his way to help the customer. He knows the parts you need and either has them or can order them. The work was first rate and he went above and beyond. He even fixed an unrelated problem he had noticed fast and inexpensively. Something a nearby dealer said they couldn't do or would only tackle with $$$$. Lawrence's work was skilled. He's a busy guy and a one man operation so he's gotta grab the phone when it rings but he gets the job done. I drive from Indio to see him, but it's worth it. After reading some positive reviews, I decided to take my Nightrod into the shop because it was leaking oil and I just wanted a mechanic to look over everything to make sure it's safe. I was greeted by Shane who was friendly, and then I was greeted by the man, Lawrence. They looked over my bike and pointed a lots of issues that I wasn't aware of. For example, my tires were too old and needed to be replaced. Needed a stator to fix the oil leak. Upgraded the running lights to LED and also upgraded blinkers on the back (my choice for aesthetic reasons). The process took over a month because it was difficult fo find the stator, and the shipping was extra slow during the pandemic. Now I feel much more confident and safe riding my bike. Oh, I have to mention that Lawrence recommended Metzeler tires because it would be a game changer. Lawrence was 100% correct, the bike rides so much smoother. I'm grateful that there's a shop near me whenever I have any issues with my bike. Highly recommend this place. Lawrence and his team are chill down to earth people. read more
