If you like Applebee's you'll love sidewinders! Beautiful building, great fireplace, amazing beer selection (100 beers on tap), and killer service. All to make up for the factory produced boring food. Potstickers... Not good. Chicken pot pie... Reheated soggy crust. Caesar salad... garlicky to the point of grossness and not really a Caesar salad. I'm sure this place will do well in bozeman and some people will love it. Really cool ambiance; great vibe, and very attentive, friendly service. Highlight of our meal was the veggie quinoa salad - it was a large portion, and really delicious. I like the vibe here. Patriotic, clean/modern. Large booths/tables good for larger groups. Huge selection of beers on tap. We eat at Sidewinders at least 2x a week and enjoy your restaurant. We ate there last evening and our service was good, but the food was just okay. My wife ordered the quinoa salad with chicken and asked that it be cooked and warm on the salad. It came cold. I ordered a half-nachos with chicken. Regular nachos are $12 and the half-nachos are $11.00? Are you kidding? We ordered (2) hard ciders and a (1) hard seltzer with the meal. The cider was $8.00 for a pint and the seltzer $9.00 for a pint. This is higher than comparable restaurants in Bozeman and worse yet, the prices for drinks aren't listed on your table menu. Total for (2) of us was $52.00. We like you guys, but we're probably not ordering any more drinks in the future. read more

Came in for a burger and a beer, for food, was just OK but had good beers, have been before and had bad service. Decided to try it again and had Hunter as a server. We go here sometimes as it is close to our house. My daughter loves the big fireplace and the game room so she asks to go here a lot. She is obsessed with getting to sit on the big outdoor deck but we haven't had a chance to eat outside yet. The food isn't that special. It's pretty typical "American" food. A dear friend and I grabbed dinner here on a whim after a thrilling Dungeons & Dragons session. Our hiding place had been found out, where our ragtag band of humans had been safe from the Overlords, deep in the catacombs under the city. We'd been careful when sneaking out into the city streets, but a wizard among the Overlords had detected us anyway. We were taken completely by surprise as they flooded into our lair, lead by a sorcerer using a razor-tipped fan to deflect our crossbow bolts. Things looked particularly dire, until finally we were able to use the power of The Binding to repel them. We ended the afternoon knowing we'd survived by the seat of our pants, and that next week we would have to act fast because now they knew where we were hiding. I heard from a co-workers that Sidewinders was a fabulous place to eat, so a friend and I decided to give it a try. We both ordered burgers and were terribly disappointed as the beef patties were over-cooked, dry, and flavorless. In addition, our waiter seemed to forget about us as most of the wait staff seemed to be congregating to "visit". On the plus side, the fries were great and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. This family-friendly restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and good American food with great service. You can sit outside during the warmer months and enjoy a draft beer or two as the Sun sets in the West. Follow your favorite team on one of their big Tv's, too. The service was amazing, but the food was mediocre. Our server was very friendly, able to answer questions about the menu and the bar. She kept our water full, and made sure all was well with the food. The food, however, could use some love. The chicken pot pie tasted like mushroom soup covered with soggy puff pastry. Would not recommend. The burger was good, and the fries were super crispy. The pretzel was ok, but just a stuffed pretzel. I would come back here and just stick to a burger and fries. read more

Typically, I would avoid a place like this. But it's not really a chain restaurant. They have a huge menu, huge beer list and everything our groups have gotten there on 2 visits has been very good. Have gone twice....first time I ordered a BLT and they forgot to put the tomato on it. Second time I ordered the Dagwood sandwich and I was soooo disappointed. I am of a certain age that I know what a Dagwood is supposed to look like and this was NOT it. I am also confused about why they claim to be a "Blue Collar Cafe". These are Bozeman ("fancy place") prices and not blue collar. Very busy, had to wait on the waitlist twice because we did not go up to the check in counter "quick enough". When we were finally seated, the server was extremely rude, and continuously forgot food/drink items for our table. I receive my food (BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich) it came out cold same with the fries, i informed the waiter and he said "this item was made first so it must've just been waiting for the other food items" so basically the food I was first served was getting cold in the kitchen instead of the table. We came from out of town and were absolutely appalled by the lack of genuine service, and customer care. 0/10, don't recommend! Went there for lunch with my wife and two kids (5,10). Took a long time to see a waiter. Ordered chocolate milk with the kids meals and was charged $1.49 each. Soda is free for them . I ordered the patty melt which was cooked well done and the patty was half the diameter of the bread. Not so great for $12. My wife had the philly steak. She said it was ok. My son had the kids cheeseburger, which was bigger than most kids burgers. When I tried to pay with a card, I was told I had to pay cash or let them write down my cc because their processor was down. I typically don't carry cash, so I had to leave for the bank to get cash. It was a disappointing, and at $40 for a mid week lunch, expensive ( my wife and I drank water). I looked at the drink menu, all beer was at least $5. I'll stick to the brewery's. read more
