Eclectic restaurant in downtown Main Street Bozeman! The 2 most popular drinks: Coconut Lime Rickey (I wasn't too pleased as it tastes like Greek yogurt... & the GFC which is very ginger forward, but thoroughly enjoyed). The Jidori Chicken was quite salty. I did enjoy the arancini it came with. My favorite were the Carne Asada Skewers! Overall everyone was happy, just a few taste differences for me. So I read a lot of reviews and blogs and other posts about how good the coconut lime rickey is here at Plonk. I love a good cocktail and the restaurant we had eaten at before coming here had none so we knew we had to have "dessert" here. We came in to a sign that said seat yourself. We did, at a cozy little spot near the front door. The table has real candlelight, all of the tables do, so there's this beautiful ambiance of dancing light that envelopes this larger than it looks from the outside wine bar. Just a few seconds after sitting, someone was at our table with waters and the menu. Talk about fast and efficient service. When our actual server arrived, she was super friendly and hospitable. She made it feel like we were regulars and I loved that. And the cocktails? Superb. Absolutely incredible, every single one of them. And that coconut lime rickey? I understand why people rave about it. Perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. I also want to point out how quick the cocktails came out to us. I was so surprised we didn't have to wait long at all, even though this place was pretty full and they were pretty busy at the bar. read more

Lovely spot in Bozeman!!! This spot is more pricey than most of the other places we stopped in Bozeman. Loved the old fashioneds though. The crab Rangoons were $19 and there was 4 of them--they were delicious though!!! After a long day of hiking in Yellowstone, getting engaged and driving back to our hotel here, we stopped for a celebratory drink. Our server noticed we were giggling over the ring and asked if we just got engaged and we said yes! And she was pretty distant afterwards. It was just interesting. We were able to secure a table outside and it was divine! We placed an order for the meat and cheese platter and 2 flank steak salads- with beets, pickled onions, candied walnuts, radicchio and a nice creamy dressing. The cheese on the platter was great. I wish there was an option to choose the cheese as I could have done without the blue cheese. However the meats were great and it's served with warmed bread. The salads were amazing, my only concern is that they serve a half a head of butter lettuce with the stalk attached. It's kinda inedible but overall the taste of the salad was great. read more

My go to for fancy cocktails and good house wine in Bozeman. Period. Can that be it? Because it's really as simple as that... May also be noteworthy that they have a kitchen that's also open later than most in town, and their food is sneaky food for a place that is known for their drinks! I also asked the bartender if they could make me a mocktail version of my favorite drink one night, and they nailed it. These guys shake up the best drinks in town! Very inventive cocktails. It was here that I was introduced to Chynar, a bitter artichoke liquor. The bartender was quite skilled and personable. I didn't try any of the food, but it looks quite good. I only ended up in this place because we came to drop my kiddo as MSU, and our hotel was across the street. It was a good random find. If ever I find myself in Bozeman again, I'll be sure to stop by for a cocktail. read more

We stopped by for a mini dinner consisting of a spread of appetizers. We had no reservations for a Sunday night but we were able to sit down right away at the bar. The restaurant/bar has a great atmosphere - the bartender mentioned the wall behind the bar was the original I believe and it had all the local ranches logo on it - so cool! We ordered the Bison Flank Steak Salad, Fried Chicken Skewers, and Crispy Pork Belly. The Bison Flank was cooked a perfect medium and the greens were fresh and crispy while the ricotta was creamy. Fried Chicken Skewers were yummy, they didn't have a huge layer of breading on the outside which was nice. I have been enjoying seeing pork belly on more restaurants lately, this pork belly was a great mix of savory and sweet! I would recommend giving Plonk a shot, they have a decent assortment of liquor and the menu is fresh/uses local products! read more

This place has been so carefully curated (my bf said Zoolander vibes but I haven't watched - sue me!) to give very upscale chic ny vibes but I walked in in hokas and a big sweatshirt after a roadtrip and had a fab time. The bartender "decides" when they are closed (aka stop serving people) depending on how busy it is - but we went looking for the late happy hour and there were still at least 10 people in the bar. What a great find after our week two fabulous National Parks it was great to get into Bozeman and enjoy some great good and wine. Plonk, has it going on... Packed house. It was so good, although a tight squeeze, but we were glad to find a seat. They only take reservations for parties of six of more so it's a bonus to get table. We enjoyed great wine and delicious food. The service was top notch and the staff were super helpful and knowledgeable about the food and wines. We wanted a quality dinner after a week of eating burgers and pizza in & around the national parks. Ambience is upscale casual. I had the halibut and it was excellent, although the chef should reduce the salt on it and the potatoes. My wife had the sweet potato gnocchi and it was also very good, although it could've been a little hotter when served. I enjoyed the Indian paintbrush cocktail, which came with a sugared rim. My wife enjoyed her strawberry Mojito, even though she ordered a watermelon Mojito. Other than that mistake, the service was good. This was my first time at Plonk. A friend of mine recommended it and I'm SO glad she did. I was in town by myself for a training and I ran up into the mountains after to take advantage of the little daylight that was left. By the time I was done with my hike it was 9:15PM and I was starving. I drove downtown and parallel parked (yikes) and when I got inside the restaurant it was super busy and seat yourself. I grabbed a single table in the back and my server was there within 2 minutes to take my wine and food order. I got a glass of the Sauv blanc and the steak bison salad cooked medium rare. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection and came out within 10 minutes of my order. My server Jenna was an absolute doll and my water glass was never even close to empty. I seriously think I was in and out in less than an hour which was perfect for me because I was tired and just needed some sustenance. It's honestly the best service I've ever had in my entire life and I would 1000% recommend to anyone in the Bozeman area. read more

I am about to give a raving review. And so I just want to get my big complaint out of the way. The cheese board. It's gorgeous, has great variety and came with yummy bread (this is a minor complaint because we asked for an extra order of bread never got it). Okay but this is it. Gorgeous cheese spread with nothing. No honey, no berries, no grapes, no spreads. I love simple cheese but when I'm paying for a cheese board I would expect some razzle dazzle flavor components. Okay that's it that is my only complaint. Otherwise this was miraculous. After 4 days of hiking and camping I was craving some bubbles and greens. So we dawned our gear, took a deep breath, and avoided eye contact with all the gorgeous patrons in the restaurant. The host didn't bat an eye at our ensembles, and they allowed us to seat ourselves! A server was there almost immediately. And the rest was perfection. We were given pours of a couple different wines to try before making selections. And our server allowed us to put in our food order at once but coursed it out for us. Whether it was the som, the server, or a food runner at our tables everyone was so kind! I ordered my delicious big green salad (that comes with bison (hello bison country)) and subbed it with some roast chicken. Yo - so much food! The place was totally vibing. And I adored it. This is a great spot for young people AND for adults. Towards the back there are sofas and it feels super swanky. It might get a little more clubby in the late evening. We went to Plonk end of October early November and were blown away with the whole restaurant, food, and service! Our waitress was Madelyn and she was amazing. My husband ordered the hanger steak and I ordered the halibut. Both were fabulous and cooked to perfection. We shared a salad and that was stellar. The ambiance was so cozy.
