Our main courses were beer-battered Fish and Chips (4 stars) and Guinness Beef Pot Pie (4 stars) with onion rings. The pot pie appeared to be the same stew that I had eaten as an appetizer but with crust on top. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and tasty. Stopped in for lunch after visiting a nearby record store on Babcock. It was our first time here and we had an awesome experience. This is a family owned Irish pub and they made us feel like part of the family! The friendly conversations made us feel like we were back in Ireland at a pub there. And then came the food ... The menu has some traditional Irish favorites like Shepherds Pie and Irish stew of course along with more American fare. We started with the pub fries, a generous plate of fresh hot fries smothered in cheese with bacon crumbles. We then had a Reuben and Fish sandwich- both with house made creamy Cole slaw on the side. Everything was delicious. Of course they have Irish brews on tap but other styles available as well including rotating selection. We had plenty of leftovers to take home with us but already thinking about my next visit!! Wow...So my boyfriend had told me that this place was really nice, but it far surpassed my expectations!! Being at this Pub made me feel like I was in the basement of a family members home. The wood top bar is gorgeous, all of the decor is themed so nicely, and the way they decorated the entrance hallway is truly unlike anything I've seen before! They had photos of their families and precious quotes on the walls, which truly made me feel like I was at a family members home. The bartender was phenomenal, which I have also never seen before... especially at a bar! He made us feel as if we were family and he made this experience extra personalized--I got to try to make a clover design on top of the Guinness beer! The photo here is his masterpiece, because it was far too beautiful to not include within this review. The food was great and I loved the grilled chicken on the salad I got. It was juicy and seasoned nicely, ugh just PERFECT! My boyfriend loved his chicken wings as well! All around, I was mind-blown by my experience. I did not expect to go from just stopping by a local place for food, to then walking out wishing I could spend every day there! This was a very special experience for me and this is the first time I've felt this way about a restaurant. Thank you Sieb's for doing such a phenomenal job--seriously! First time at Sieb's. Stopped in for dinner after getting off work. Service was quick and speedy. I ordered the Guinness Beef Pot Pie. It came with a side of onion rings and a salad. Wasn't too impressed with the pot pie unfortunately, the entire thing was basically all carrots. Barely any beef. Potato's were still hard. The crust was good though. Onion rings were great. Salad was pretty standard but still tasty. Best thing of the evening was their pint of Guinness. Overall, nice place. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other options. read more

I was told about this spot back in March for the burger. It's been on my list for a while now and I only ever been recommended it about 5-10 more times since. WHAT A GREAT decision The burger is just so fucking solid. Juicy ass GOOD quality patty, a pretzel bun (how can't you love that) and added sauerkraut. THIS is what I want with a burger and that beats about every smash burger for me The sweet potatoes fries with it were a brown cinnamon sugar ones. So solid. However, they just need some salt. I know 90% of places don't tend to add much salt when going sweeter but def need them The hearty ass Irish stew bread bowl is everything I needed. Thick ass Guinness broth, melt in mouth carrots/potatoes and beef chunks. PLUS a bread bowl. My only complaint here is the side pieces of bread were toasted like a motherfucker THE FISH N CHIPS. FUCKING HELL. That's right next to Piper's Pub for best for me and it's honestly a toss up. Beer battered perfection not overdone, peels right off and the fish is piping hot. Portion is GREAT too. Like I said too, only time I will accept non psoriasis fries and these were cooked perfectly This is a family pub and the second you walk in you know it. Whole staff is so friendly and treat to you like a relative not a customer. I felt like anytime I sweated I had to look over my shoulder to make sure my mom wasn't gonna slap me. This place specializes in old school comfort (especially the Fall menu) and traditional Irish fare. The service is quick and my food came quickly. There's the pub side, which has a few TV screens, and the dining room, which has better lighting and is a little more formal. There's a great neighborhood vibe which is irresistible. While there are just 2 craft beers, the Irish selection is impressive. Just for fun, get the Irish Flight (Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, and Jameson. My server was very attentive and helpful. Didn't get a picture of the food but I've been meaning to come here for a while. I went with my roommate and was in awe. As you walk in you can see the family friendly environment, there was live music and the workers were kind. I tried the fish sandwich with mozzarella sticks, both were good with flavor. Friday the 13th and all went well. Had fish dinner with my four grandsons and their Mom & Dad. Love those little guys. Sieb's was packed starting at 4 PM I'm told by a patron leaving as we arrived . Just always amazes me how efficient they all are. Great food and better service, quick too. Not sure how they do it but it sure is appreciated. The food is good here. Just really wish that when they serve the pot pies that there is more than 1 piece of beef. My mom had one piece. I had 6. A bit outrageous when it is fairly easy to portion out. Service was good. It was busy when we first got there. Had the Irish Iced Tea. They need to omit the Midori it is too sweet. Sieb's Pub is serving up some really tasty fish sandwiches. We went on the first Friday of Lent and the place was packed. We put our name in for a table of three and they estimated 25 mins which turned out to be an hour. We grabbed a few pints while we waited and worked up an appetite. When we were seated, our very friendly server came over right away. She was really great. The fish sandwiches were cooked perfectly and came out nice and hot with a side of homemade cole slaw. We ordered a side of their hand cut fries too. The fish is huge and leftovers made for a nice snack the next morning. We love this family run business. Only slight gripe is how very loud the live singer was in the bar area. It's just way too loud for such a small place. read more

We stopped here on two occasions so far this year. One was a Friday night and the other was on Parade day. So a week before St Patrick's Day. We had a great time each visit. The first time was just chill on a Friday night. We watched some hockey and drank some Guinness. Bartenders were really nice and it was inviting. We did try their nachos which were good too but we didn't really stop by to eat. The second time was really busy cause of the Holiday and parade. They had a band and we did find seating in the back dining area. We ate their fish which was really good. Then we got close to the bar to enjoy some more beer and music. It was really busy but that was expected. This place isn't too far for us so we will be back during the year. Out of Towners Beware!!! I live out of state and am visiting family. Everyone has been talking about the Guinness with the Shamrock on top, and it is almost impossible to find where I live. That was the only reason we went there. As my ID was from out of state, the bartender said he couldn't verify it and that the manager needed to. She was unable to reach the owner so they wouldn't serve us. How do you run a business when you refuse to serve anyone with an out of state ID? The manager on duty should be capable of verifying IDs. I didn't get carded anywhere else in the city. I will never be back! read more

i cannot say enough good things about this place or the owners. my first encounter of Sieb's was on st. pattys day 2024. our party had 2 kids and the one is a picky eater. with all of the craziness, the waitstaff was very nice and the owner even saw that the kiddos were hungry and waiting so he made sure to take care of them. the picky eater got a burger and loved EVERY BITE! she literally always suggests the restaurant when it comes down to choosing where to go. the irish dishes are very good too and reminded me of my time across the pond. i would keep writing but it would take me a ton of paragraphs to praise the waitstaff, owners, and the food served at Sieb's. The pub has a warm and inviting atmosphere with bar and a dining room for seating. Our waitress was very friendly and provided fast and great service. Given 2 seating options, in the bar where the music was playing, or over in the adjoining dining room. Both looked equally inviting, but since I was with a group of people, I figured we would prefer an area where we could talk comfortably, yet be in ear shot of the singer/ guitar player. Well, Laura and I always drive past and say "We should try Sieb's sometime". Tonight, we were going to our normal spot MadMex and they were 50-70 minute wait. We were ready to eat and not standing around for that amount of time. We were scrambling to find a spot and I thought of Sieb's. Walked in, pretty busy but we were seated right away by a very kind young lady who was happy to see us. I'm looking for a decent beer and looking around for the beer list. The server appears with a printed menu like he was reading my mind. Good help is hard to find, and great help is rare as we all know. The place is obviously family owned by the entrance pictures. Service was excellent, the place is as clean as any restaurant I have ever seen. The wings were excellent and the selections of food were as good as you could want. Love MadMex but see you soon Sieb's! We found a new place that we were very impressed with. Sieb's you are doing it beyond right. Keep doing exactly what you are doing. Decided to stop last night for an Irish coffee for Perry's bd. March 17th around 7:15 Pm. One of the daughters, was not polite because Perry didn't explain the order correct enough for her liking. I stopped here for lunch because I had heard so much about the Irish pub and wanted to try so Irish food. The entire business is decorated with wood sayings such as "I believe" and wood carvings that have messages of encouragement. The only thing they have for sale are their T shirts. When I arrived I was told I could sit anywhere. I went into the main dining room to avoid the high top seating and truly loved the way the decorated the booths on the inside with various themes. The table I sat at was wedding themed. A nice waitress came over and went over their daily specials. I decided to order the shepherd's pie and a side salad. Today's soup of the day was tomato bisque. My salad was the typical tossed salad you get anywhere but was a very nice size. I got my Shepherd's pie shortly afterwards. It was ground meat mixed with peas and covered with mashed potatoes and a cheese topping. While it was good and hot it somehow tasted bland. Still the portion size was huge and was just enough for me to finish. I got to chatting with folks at the next booth who split and appetizer of pretzel sticks mixed with fried zucchini and sauces for dipping. They told me it was very good. WiFi is available here. Pass code given upon request but even with the WiFi your reception is pretty bad. They specialize in Irish Guinness beer but also serve wine as well. They still have their Irish specialties left over from St. Patrick's day but I knew with both the Shepherd's pie and salad there was no room for dessert. when I went to pay the check I asked about the cash back offer with pay by credit card but my waitress didn't seem to know anything about it. They do have a happy hour with specials. They also have seafood specials which I would be interested in trying.
