This place does have the best old fashioned ( at least in Pittsburgh!) we came here the first time and just had drinks and some tots (they need a lot of salt) but the next time we got food! Their burger is good as well as their potstickers! Skip the flatbread, it was so soggy and doughy. Great cocktails! The bartenders are so nice!

Cute music cute vibes. We were met by our server soon after sitting down. Inside seating is limited. Server is kind. Beer fries are spectacular. A little spicy but not too much. Great tasting cheese. A good amount- filling. Chicken wings- super flavorful. The honey dip is amazing. The Cajun dry rub was great too! The capture and taco pizzas are also pretty good. The crab Rangoon was also good. The fruity jelly is amazing. Make sure to mix it with the crab Rangoon! The sides are honestly better than the mains! Nothing is greasy though. Service is fast. Somehow, the food came before the drink lol. We got a virgin version of the grapefruit something or other and it was pretty good ! The water also tasted good. I'd def come back

The Warren is one of my favorite spots downtown. It's a lively cocktail bar with great food. It gets very packed, especially when there's shows at the Benedum. We were able to get 2 spots at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. My husband had a great G&T and I had a delicious ginger mocktail. My husband ordered the steak sandwich which is always delicious. I ordered sushi & sweet potato tots (my favorite). Definitely check this spot out!

This is a great bar in downtown Pittsburgh, especially if you're a whiskey lover. Even if you're not, there's a decent menu of cocktails! The boo berry daiquiri was delicious! A bit sweet for me, but still made really well. The 7th street corn dip was really delicious!! I could eat that as my entire meal if I had to. But the caprese and tomato basil flatbreads were delicious! The caprese was my favorite of the two, as it tasted very fresh. The tomato basil was a little too cheesy for me.

Service at the bar was good. The Fred's Old Fashion was perfection. The corn dip was very good. Best we have had in a long time. The catfish PoBoy was OK but sort of small. The special Wasabi Pork Dumplings were a bit of a let down. A lot of breading and scant pork. We will be back for sure cause this place rocks. Very relaxed and gets crowded quick.

I visited The Warren for the first time last weekend before going to a show at The Benedum! We got there around 5:30 pm and it was packed so we had to sit at the tables on the sidewalk. Not long after we ordered our first round of drinks, a massive group left so we ran inside and snagged seats at the bar! Here's everything we got: -Passion for Pittsburgh - a vodka-based passionfruit cocktail -Fred's Old Fashioned (my fiancé's drink) -Aviation cocktail -an incredible off-menu creation made with Gin, muddled peach, lillet, and basil (the bartender said he used to serve this drink all the time 20 years ago) -Steak & cheese sandwich + fries (we split this and it was the perfect amount of food for both of us) -my fiancé also got the Peach Thief cocktail, which you can see in the picture of the sandwich Everything was delicious! The bartender was super cool. The food came out fast. Will definitely go back, and would love to try the sushi next time! Also loved the aesthetic of the bar the perfect pre-show spot!

We've been to The Warren a handful of times now and never been disappointed. For a bar, they have great sushi. The other food and cocktails have also always been great. They do not take reservations and seating can be limited. They have some covered seating outside, weather permitting. Go early to grab a seat at the bar. Perfect place to grab drinks and a bite to eat before a show downtown. The servers have always been great and the service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend!

My favorite spot downtown! The drinks are reasonably priced and always delicious, the food is great, the service is excellent, and the vibes are always immaculate. The setting is cozy and the music is always on point! I love their flatbreads, the Warren Burger, the sweet potato tots, salads, and especially the sushi!

Amazing service, Amazing drinks, Amazing food. The vibes were great, decor was spot on. I have nothing bad to say about this place. 10/10 will go again and can't recommend enough. Im so glad I found this spot because I love sushi and my boyfriend does NOT and now we can both have what we want :)

It's a nice local bar that serves a variety of food, including sushi. I was there to have dinner after the conference. I had fish and chips with an Old Fashioned, which was nice. The bartenders are very Pittsburgh, and the ambiance was nice.

The Warren Bar and Burrow is a truly unique spot. While it is primarily a dive bar, with all the trappings of a dive bar on the right side, it also includes a beautifully decorated Japanese themed room off to the left. This dynamic is also reflected in the menu, with Japanese whiskey spotlighted, as well as an extensive sushi menu to go along with burgers and fish and chips. Amazingly, the sushi was top notch, as well as the aforementioned fish and chips. I however would not recommend the Chicken Katsu, as it wasn't spiced well. One last thing to note is that the tots are sweet potatoes, and while I usually love sweet potatoes these were odd and mushy. I asked if they had whipped butter to help, but they did not. The server did offer to replace them with standard french fries, which I was very appreciative of. As for drinks, I highly recommend their Old Fashioned. I've tried others on the cocktail menu and they are hit or miss, but the OF is a solid choice.

Literally my favorite bar in Pittsburgh. I've lived in Pitt for 18 months and coming from NYC, the bar scene has been extremely disappointing here. The Warren is the only place that satisfies my late night bar needs. There's always a decent amount of people at the bar no matter what day of the week. And unlike other bars in Pittsburgh, they play more than just the Steelers games. One of my favorite things about this place is their cocktail and food menu. Pretty difficult to find a place that serves food as late as them on a Tuesday night. And the menu is so eccentric. Everything from the sushi to the burgers are delicious. The cocktail menu is constantly changing and is well priced. Haven't had a bad cocktail here. Service here is always fantastic. All the bartenders are super nice and attentive. I like going to bars by myself and the environment they create makes this very welcoming. If you're looking for a place to have a drink after a hockey game or a concert, there's no other choice

Would a well-behaved 10 year old kid be welcomed here for a quick bite before a show at the Benedum?

    I don’t think so.

Is there a descent bourbon selection?

I don't drink bourbon, but my bourbon snob friends who were with me last week were very pleased. They told me I could say thumbs up. It isn't a huge list, but it is solid.

The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The drinks are definitely crafted with care and have a lot of complexity, but with only two bartenders working, it took quite a while to get ours. Not the place to go if you want quick service or are grabbing a drink before another event. My biggest downside is the price point--most cocktails are around $17. They're good, but at that price I can really only justify having one. Note: They do not have food, just snacks like peanuts. Overall, amazing ambiance and well-made drinks, just expect slower service and a higher bill.

Super cool entrance and fun comfortable lounge upstairs. It's a fantastic place to go as an intimate group. But it's kind of small to take a group of more than 4 friends. Cocktails were made surprisingly quick even on a busy night. Everything is just really great about this place. Thankfully nothing is overly gory or too creepy. To avoid a line, it is best to go right at opening or about an hour before it closes. One thing is that they can (and often do) search your bag to make sure you don't steal the glassware. Sad that they need to so that, but I guess I understand why they need to check.
