We rented out the back room for a little birthday celebration and could not recommend it more! The booking process was super easy, and I was able to choose some speciality drinks for a custom menu. The private room rental also included our own bartender, so we really don't have to leave the room at all! We pre-ordered some shared dips for the group, and then everyone was able to start a tab for any additional food or drinks. While we kept it pretty basic, they offered a lot of add-ons like decorations or a photo backdrop. I would 100% book an event here again! The lobster grilled cheese had a tomato soup-like sauce to dip the sandwich wedges in. My wife and I have been talking about visiting this place for quite some time and we decided to finally stop by. Glad that we decided to do so. We arrived and walked up to the door to see what the sign stated, thought maybe closed for a private event, but it was warning us that they were down a person and to be patient with them. As I walked away a nice young lady walked out and said that we are open. We walked in after I informed my wife. The place isn't super spacious, I didn't know what they layout was like. When you arrive they have two areas that you can sit. The bar and some bar tables near, or to the left which is a small room with maybe 5 tables or little more. Our waitress provided us the drink menu and wow judging from the menu the Martinis are the bread and butter around here. My wife had the Pineapple Upside Down Cake and damn was it good. It was perfect. I had the Old Fashioned and was able to select what whiskey I wanted with it. I chose Rye from Liberty Pole Spirits and you have a choice of smoked flavor of wood (Pear, Cheery, Apple, Peach, Oak, Hickory or Beech) I chose the hickory and damn it was amazing. Next time I'm going with a Martini but so many good ones to choose from. They do offer wine from next door at Silver Mark Cellars and wine from Sterling Vineyards in California. They did have beers from all over, but after the cocktail I went with a glass of cider from Arsenal Cider House in Pittsburgh and OMG she brought me a large glass with cider that is almost 9% ABV. It was good but wow it was large, no complaints. The food was amazing as my wife had a chicken poboy and loved it, and I went with the spicy burger, holy hell it was spicy but delicious. I'm going with the shrimp poboy next time. I love shrimp poboys. The service was spot on the nice young blonde lady was amazing, always checking on us. This place got busy really quick and I see why. The specialty cocktails and martinis are worth the drive alone. I didn't get one but snuck a sip of the martini of the day my sister-in-law got. It was delicious and citrusy and sweet! They had a great selection of domestic and craft beer. I got the steak sandwich which was incredible. The arugula and garlicky aioli were a perfect touch to the expertly cooked steak. Yet another great restaurant in Canonsburg, Pa. In the heart of Pike St, is this little gem. A smaller menu, but that's good on occasion, makes for an easier decision. Today was easy, their weekly special, A French Onion Grilled Cheese with Roast Beef. Melted cheese on top of a grilled cheese, herbs, scallions, garlic on the toast, melted cheese on the inside, with tender, juicy roast beef, caramelized onions, au jus. What a great take on French Onion soup, this sandwich is fantastic, it tastes as good as it sounds. It'd be a regular buy if it was on the menu all the time. When you enter Bar association you see a bare brick and leather dining area with opening garage doors to the outside and retro styling. I did not go over to the bar area. As it is November, the garage doors were obviously closed. I went here on a Wednesday and it there were a decent amount of people. We got food and drinks, service was decent. I got the chicken parm but the menu didn't note it was a sandwich. Someone else got the meatloaf which was awesome- I had some food fomo but would have swapped for regular bacon on it. I had a party of 5 so we sat in the corner- the large 'table' was actually 2 small tables, which were not level and not great. They did not have an updated draft list and were out of literally 3 different beers I ordered. If I was local this could be a decent spot but not a place to seek out. read more

That already limited what is a limited menu. 20 minutes later, she came back to take our drink order. Ordered the crab dip app at that time. 20 minutes later, the drinks and crab dip came out. Drinks in plastic cups, no silverware for the dip. Placed a food order. My crab cake sandwich finally came out after another 20 minutes. Finally, we were asked if we needed silverware. Sandwich just completely fell apart. I didn't expect a Baltimore-level crab cake, but I also didn't expect it to completely disintegrate. Best part came later when the food poisoning set in. This one would have been a solid five stars. We went here two nights in a row. The first night we LOVED it so much (hence us going back the very next night). The martini menu is extensive and tasty. However, I had the same martini two nights in a row and the taste and color were different. The first night I had the gummy bear martini. It was perfect. I ordered two. The second night it was red so I wasn't sure I received the correct martini. The waitress informed me (the second night) they add cranberry juice, which I didn't care for in this cocktail. It's better without it. Next, the food. Again, ordered the steak sandwich two nights in a row. On Wednesday, it had a little pink and was just perfect. The second night(Thursday), it was over done. Both nights seemed to be almost equally busy, but they did much better on Wednesday night with service. My husband waited nearly 30 mins for his cocktail (The Godfather) which has just two ingredients. Didn't automatically receive water or silverware (even though the meat loaf required it). This one isn't the servers fault (if they put the order in timely), but it took an hour for us to get our food. Maybe they were spread thin, but we were a little bummed about this place after the second night! The French Onion soup was awesome! I do also recommend the Focaccia, & the Steak Sandwich. Cons-The menu is limited, and they seem to provide the least amount of silverware that you might need. Although, your server will get you more when you ask! The Meatloaf was kind of dry but we may have caught it on a bad day. It IS a house specialty, with great candied bacon on top! My wife and I tried this place a few weeks back and we may have just found our new, favorite, local place. We were greeted by two friendly bartenders who let us know everything about the place, what they offer, specials, etc. We went during their weekly happy hour and enjoyed $3 Tito's! They also have $1 off draft beer. We started off with a delicious appetizer and two entrees that were perfectly on point. Our total bill was much lower than other places we go considering we had two drinks each, an appetizer, and two entrees. Between the quality of food, drink prices, and friendly service, we found ourselves back there one week later. We would have gone back a 3rd week but sometimes, things come up. The Bar Association is like going someplace with fancy upscale, delicious food but it's not so full of itself that it needs to overcharge you or put on an act to be fancy. I had a Bloody Mary with the trimmings and it wasn't worth it. If you figure the taxes and tip it was pushing $20. Food portions were a little small. We looked around for more seating hoping we didn't have to sit by them. We were told we could go to the back. We sat down and the service was great. Our server was very attentive: the room was FREEZING! I asked if it was always cold and she said yes they asked for a space heater but have not received one yet. The food was average. Nothing to write home about. I had the chicken po boy. The chicken was too crisp for my liking. Hard to bite into. The sauce on it was good. The fries were greasy. My husband got the hamburger and it was made the way he asked but nothing special about it. Again his fries were greasy. When we left that same couple was still at the bar making out.
