    Bbq pulled pork special

The food is absolutely delicious! We had the crab dip and the lobster grilled cheese to share. Both were so good! The lobster grilled cheese had a tomato soup-like sauce to dip the sandwich wedges in. We had the back room for a party and it is set up very nicely and we had a great server back there to take care of all our needs. Such a great local spot. When we were leaving, we noticed they had live music out front as well and it was packed.

Very unique restaurant decor and layout. Huge public parking across the street, free on weekends. I had the hamburger which was quality. You could tell at first bite that ingredients were high quality. Hand cut fries were a real treat and topped itoff withan ice tea which was freshly brewed. Check it out if you are in the area.

Fun bar with good upscale bar bites. Fun to open the garage doors and bring the outside in. Good bartenders. Always enjoy the bean dip. The fried pitas are awesome with it. The steak sandwich was good but could use more steak and fewer peppers.

My wife and I have been talking about visiting this place for quite some time and we decided to finally stop by. Glad that we decided to do so. We arrived and walked up to the door to see what the sign stated, thought maybe closed for a private event, but it was warning us that they were down a person and to be patient with them. As I walked away a nice young lady walked out and said that we are open. We walked in after I informed my wife. The place isn't super spacious, I didn't know what they layout was like. When you arrive they have two areas that you can sit. The bar and some bar tables near, or to the left which is a small room with maybe 5 tables or little more. Our waitress provided us the drink menu and wow judging from the menu the Martinis are the bread and butter around here. My wife had the Pineapple Upside Down Cake and damn was it good. It was perfect. I had the Old Fashioned and was able to select what whiskey I wanted with it. I chose Rye from Liberty Pole Spirits and you have a choice of smoked flavor of wood (Pear, Cheery, Apple, Peach, Oak, Hickory or Beech) I chose the hickory and damn it was amazing. Next time I'm going with a Martini but so many good ones to choose from. They do offer wine from next door at Silver Mark Cellars and wine from Sterling Vineyards in California. They did have beers from all over, but after the cocktail I went with a glass of cider from Arsenal Cider House in Pittsburgh and OMG she brought me a large glass with cider that is almost 9% ABV. It was good but wow it was large, no complaints. The food was amazing as my wife had a chicken poboy and loved it, and I went with the spicy burger, holy hell it was spicy but delicious. I'm going with the shrimp poboy next time. I love shrimp poboys. The service was spot on the nice young blonde lady was amazing, always checking on us. This place got busy really quick and I see why. They have terrific food, fast and reliable service and drinks are the best. I look forward to our next visit.

The specialty cocktails and martinis are worth the drive alone. I didn't get one but snuck a sip of the martini of the day my sister-in-law got. It was delicious and citrusy and sweet! They had a great selection of domestic and craft beer. I got the steak sandwich which was incredible. The arugula and garlicky aioli were a perfect touch to the expertly cooked steak. The fries were hand cut and so so crispy and salty and just right. I didn't get to try it but the poutine looked out of this world.

One of my favorite spots in Washington County! All of their dessert martinis are delectable and the food is amazing as well! The newer (about a year or older) seated section of the restaurant is very cool. It's dark, moody and cozy! My favorites on the menu are: the crab cake sandwich, poutine, lemon drop martini, raspberry cheesecake martini! You can't go wrong!

Yet another great restaurant in Canonsburg, Pa. In the heart of Pike St, is this little gem. A smaller menu, but that's good on occasion, makes for an easier decision. Today was easy, their weekly special, A French Onion Grilled Cheese with Roast Beef. Melted cheese on top of a grilled cheese, herbs, scallions, garlic on the toast, melted cheese on the inside, with tender, juicy roast beef, caramelized onions, au jus. What a great take on French Onion soup, this sandwich is fantastic, it tastes as good as it sounds. It'd be a regular buy if it was on the menu all the time. A side of dark russet fries, which were delicious, made for a great eating experience!

They didn't have high chairs when we got seated, but the staff was so accommodating and quickly ran across the street to borrow some from another restaurant. The host gave us a rundown of the place and all of the different areas: board games, bocce courts, arcade games, old school gaming systems and TVs, golf bays, and putting green. Some activities were free and some needed a gaming card to play. There are dining tables and bar stools inside, as well as picnic tables and more seats at the bar outside. It was a beautiful night, so all of the large windows were open. Their bar included signature cocktails and mocktails, as well as limited beer and wine options. The food menu wasn't very extensive, but we tried the buffalo chicken dip, caprese dip, guacamole and queso, Thai chicken tacos, and a flatbread. The food came out quickly, and everything was pretty good; it wasn't anything spectacular, but decent to snack on while you play games and enjoy the atmosphere.

Made my first visit to The Village TapHouse on a Wednesday evening this past August. I love any…read morekind of Bingo, and I saw on Facebook they were holding their monthly Bar Bingo on this night. So, I made my way on over. The Village TapHouse is located in the South Hills Village Mall area, but a little up the road from the actual mall. It is tucked away in the rear of the building located on the corner of Washington Road and North Highland Road. The business that is visible from the main intersection is Clubhouse Cards. If you follow North Highland past this entrance off of Washington, The Village TapHouse will be on your right. There is some limited parking right in front of the entrance. However, since there are a lot of other businesses around here, you can find other parking across the street or before the actual entrance, regardless of which direction. I had no issue getting a spot right across the street, and making the short walk over. I arrived that evening around 7:00 PM, as that is when the Bingo was slated to start. There were a good amount of people attending the event, as the indoor main dining area was pretty much full when I arrived! No issue for me though, as I was by myself. So, I found a seat at the bar. There were several other patrons sitting at the bar, but it was not shoulder-to-shoulder or anything like that. There is also some patio seating, but I do not believe the Bingo was heard out in that area. Once situated, I went up to buy my Bingo cards from the two hosts. They were set up in the main dining room, but were using microphones. I had no issue hearing them all night long from the bar. It was $10 for a pack of 3 cards, and I purchased 2 packs. They also had daubers for sale, but I brought my own to use. I waited around for the games to start once I bought my cards, which ended up being around 7:30 PM. It was also Pajama-themed Bingo, which I was unaware of until I arrived. This allowed you for a special perk for one of the games. I am not sure if they always do this, but I would advise participating in whatever theme is advertised to get the most out of your experience. There were a few bartenders serving this evening. The lady who waited on me was prompt and friendly the whole night. I started off with a pint of FireWistle Red. It was a solid red beer, and served as a nice sipper for my evening. As the Bingo went on, I decided to put in a food order. I ordered a Half Dozen Wings in the Chicken and Waffles Wet Rub. I thought this was a unique flavor, so I wanted to give it a try. I enjoyed the taste of these! They were split wings, but overall the size was serviceable. The plate also had several pieces of celery and ranch dressing to accompany the wings. The food here was fairly priced. For my 6 wings and beer pint, the total was around $15. It seemed from the menu that the majority of entrees were $15 or under, which I believe is a great deal. Overall, no complaints in terms of prices or value. I ended up staying here for nearly three hours in order to finish the Bingo games. So, I had plenty of time to take in the atmosphere. I enjoyed the people, staff, and the overall vibe of the place. The patrons were friendly, and the staff seem to recognize their regulars while having meaningful conversation. Plus, the Bingo games brought some fun and entertainment to the night overall. This first visit of mine to The Village TapHouse was a positive one. Very much enjoyed the people, atmosphere, food, and fun Bingo activities. I cannot believe with how close I live to here that it took me this long to give it a try. Now I am happy to know there is a spot like this practically in my backyard. I have seen on Facebook that they also have Trivia Nights, so that is something I want to check out in the future. Even though I did not win Bingo this time, it will not stop me from coming back and trying again. I would recommend stopping here for a meal, or a fun night of entertainment, if you find yourself in the South Hills Village area of town.
