After sales service is horrendous. They really don't care. I had these storage brackets that hook on to the door inside the cabinets. After just a few years, the shelving insert was all warped and broken. I asked to order new inserts. Turns out they didn't make them anymore and my only option was to order whole new brackets at something ridiculous at $200 a piece. So much for standing by the quality of your products. The cabinets are nice but there are so many choices these days. Will be going through another big remodel in our new house and I won't even consider them. read more

We have a Siematic kitchen in our new home. It hurts to say, but the overall experience was not great. The sales process was very good. Cathy is knowledgeable, friendly, does not push extra features and really works with you to figure out best options. The cabinets are exceptional. Beautiful, well engineered, and so far have been taking the abuse of a family with 2 kids and a dog very well. The problem was installation. Siemetic heavily recommended their installer, instead of our contractor, and we agreed even though it cost extra. The installer was hard to schedule, they kept coming multiple times and not finishing the job, and at the end just stopped showing up. Gave some evasive "we are busy and will be available in 2 months" explanation. We ended up having to go back to our general contractor to finish it, which caused extra time, money, etc. When we complained to Siematic, as the installer was their strong recommendation, they did not much. My advice to Siematic is they need to have others who can install their product, because their current installer is clearly not on par with the quality of the product. read more

So this is the second negative review I'm giving SieMatic, but I'll preface by saying I'm still going to buy from them... Because at the end of the day, the physical product brings immense daily joy :) Things that went right with latest order: * Product is bulletproof and beautiful * Aesthetic design process and results were excellent with sincere thanks to the representative * Entry-level new line is great * Despite the problems below, representative always picked up my phone call, was always responsive, and always willing to come onto site to help resolve issues. This really helped save the account for us. Things that went wrong: * Design improperly considered obtuse wall angles. Granted most homes will be working with right angles, but SieMatic was aware of the situation (through on-site visit and measurements). The delivered cabinets did not fit (they were 6 inches too long, so not even close). If properly done, the design process should have measured the obtuse angle in order to determine the proper spacing. * One of the panels was manufactured to the wrong size which requires a lengthy wait for manufacture and shipping from Germany. Thankfully, it was an end piece, so we were able to still move forward with templating. * Colors on certain shelves were changed from what we approved and what was shown on our renderings. Representative said the colors were changed, but this is not true. The bottom line that is if the colors were changed, then the renderings should have been updated or there should have been some record of the change-- there was not. * Color on an interior panel were changed-- representative said the factory may have decided to match the panel to a different part of the cabinet for us?! I guess thank you but no thank you mr. design-conscious factory worker? * Certain critical, custom hardware pieces were shipped in short supply. Representative was great- had extras delivered to our job site. * Labeling on the build plans did not match labels on the product in many instances, and several labels did not match any items on the build plans. Representative indicated this was the fault of our installer, and that we should have gone with the SieMatic installer, but representative could not figure out the plans either and needed to email headquarters to get answers. Either support third-party installation or don't... All manufacturers do things slightly differently, so clarity is still paramount. * Delivery person was angry and uncooperative about job logistics, so delivery was not completed on time. Representative was amazing in dealing with the delivery person and managing the follow-up to complete the delivery and make sure all pieces were delivered undamaged. Honestly, most companies just have you suffer delivery alone... SieMatic really only missed their own high bar here, and the high bar was highly appreciated. read more

We were doing a complete remodel of our home in August of 2007 and after much research I knew I wanted a Siematic kitchen. The showroom on 1st Street was not opening until late September, but I went down and knocked on their door while they were working on the showroom. This is when I met Brian. I told him I needed to get moving with my kitchen plans because of the timing of our remodel. He was wonderful. He started working with me before they even opened the showroom. He knew I was on a tight timeline so he went out of his way to get his designs and quotations to me very quickly. Not only did he help me with the kitchen cabinetry, but he also suggested a few design changes to the kitchen which made it possible for me to have everything I wanted. I ended up having him also do the bar area and TV console in our family room. Brian was very patient and accommodating. He listened to what we wanted and succeeded in getting us an amazing kitchen and family room. We have gotten many compliments from our family and friends. I really enjoyed working with him. He is very professional, bright and accessible. He knows a tremendous amount about kitchen design, and as I mentioned before he suggested some architectural changes that really made a tremendous difference in the entire look and function of the kitchen. He helped us choose the appliances, he worked with our marble installer to make sure the marble thickness was cut properly; he helped us pick the paint color and the correct color of the hardwood flooring to go with our cabinets. Because the cabinets were being shipped from overseas I was very concerned about timely delivery. Brian always kept us up to date on delivery status. When the cabinets arrived he was at our home to make sure everything went smoothly with the delivery. He also was always available and stopped by quite often during the installation to check up on everything. Siematic is a wonderful high quality product. We have enjoyed having it in our kitchen and family room and we know that it will last us for years. And what is normally a very challenging and trying experience was just the opposite. I can't say enough great things about Brian, and I highly recommend him. read more

We had our kitchen done last fall and are still having people floored when they see how incredible it looks. We looked at many many designers and picked SieMatic because they were the first folks that actually helped us when we walked in (didn't ignore us like many do) and really helped us make decisions as well as understood our vision. They also were a "one stop" shop so we didn't have to run all over town finding different parts (sinks, countertops etc., could all be ordered there). They also stayed to their time-lines and their budgets!! I think we actually came in just under the original estimate. We love our kitchen, and we love SieMatic (and Brian!). read more

I am a commercial interior designer and have worked for a large A&D firm for over 22 years. We were asked by a long-term client to develop (3) high end residential penthouses located over the commercial spaces in the buildings we planned. We decided that a European kitchen was the best approach, because our design time was limited and we knew they would provide up-to-date design and detailing. After reseaching all the name kitchen brands we chose Siematic. One of the reasons was that the client wanted different styles for each condo and Siematic had the most to choose from. It worked so well that the client added Siematic bathroom and study cabinets to the scope. Brian Allen turned out to be the best consultant on the project! He was extremely professional and very knowledgeable, not just about his product, but about coordinating appliances, plumbing, tile, stone and electrical. As someone who owned SieMatic kitchens since 1997, I would agree with previous comments that the quality of the products is very good! However, I cannot say the same about everything else, including (most importantly) customer service! After selling my house and moving into a new one in 2013, the first thing I did was ordering a new kitchen from SieMatic. Being a very happy owner of one for almost 17 years, I did not ever bother to look at anything else on the market. I went straight to SieMatic. Ashley Brown was my designer/sales person at the time, and she did an OUTSTANDING job at getting my kitchen exactly the way I wanted it, at least on paper. Soon after, I ordered the cabinetry. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen construction delays, I was not able to take a delivery of my kitchen when it arrived. So, I made an arrangement with SieMatic to have the cabinets stored at their storage facility. I was also assured that my kitchen would be stored in an air-conditioned warehouse at $300/month charge. A year later, I decided to take the kitchen out of storage, since keeping it there was getting expensive and I wasn't sure exactly how much longer it would be before I was ready for an install. So, in April of 2015, after trying to schedule a delivery for 2 months, I finally received the cabinetry. I WAS SHOCKED!!!! First, my beautiful white laquer finish was completely covered in SOOT where ever it was exposed (not covered). Some pieces had black shoe prints on white surfaces! But most shocking was the fact that many of the items were completely DAMAGED!!! Doors smashed, countertops cracked. It was horrendous. It looked like my kitchen was "dropped". I immediately took pictures and send them to a manager at the time - Susan Smart. It took almost a month (and unanswered emails for days) to get someone to respond (delivery was 04/16/15; Susan came on 05/12/15). I requested that all boxes be opened and inspected, as I did not want to end up with more "surprises" later, when I was actually ready to install my kitchen. It was clear, however, that Susan and I were not going to be able to go through all the cabinetry ourselves, so we had to re-schedule to get an installer in to help. Again, it took another month to get someone out, but finally, a crew of three came on June 15, 2015. We opened and inspected every piece and found, as I expected, even more damage. There were BUGS, dried on to the polished surfaces of my most expensive glass cabinets! This was the final draw for me! I contacted the CEO-Hans Henkes. I expected to be treated with a certain degree of respect, after having spent a very large sum of money on a high-end kitchen. However, I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed. Although I did get a refund for the storage fees, I still have NOT received any replacements of the damaged cabinets FOUR AND HALF MONTHS later, and still waiting for someone to come and remove the bugs! In the meantime, I also ordered accessories for my cabinets. In august, I was notified about their arrival at the showroom. Since then, I have been contacted several times about delivery, and each time, it was cancelled. In fact, someone was supposed to call me back weeks ago, but...... As of today, I neither have my kitchen nor the accessories, both of which are paid in full for a long time ago. I feel as if I am no longer a "priority". Very disrespectful! It pains me to have to write a negative review about a company whose product I enjoyed for many years. I much prefer to praise a company for going above and beyond. However, times have changed, unfortunately! I feel that this is too important to leave "as is". SieMatic kitchens are very expensive and, I believe, that such price tags should correlate with a level of service that one expects after investing so much. In fact, I am so upset about this experience that, in addition to writing this review, I am contacting a BBB and a Consumer Protection Agency. BUYER BEWARE! read more
