Dr. Manuel was rude the last 2x I went. He made me feel uncomfortable every time I spoke (ex: making unfavorable comments and focusing on flaws). I had to cancel my apt and get refunded due to his negative behaviors. I felt overwhelmed, insecure, and hurt by his negative remarks. I noticed his behaviors were self-centered, lack of empathy, and superior attitude. Update since Terry contacted Yelp to get my review removed: Terry knows exactly who my husband is and comments on my review acting like he has no record of us being a customer then proceeds to direct message about our ongoing issue. Goes to show how his entire yelp page is fraud since he contacts yelp headquarters to get reviews removed from honest customers. I started going to this location pre 2014. Moved in 2016 so I had not made here in awhile. My first appointment back to this location, indeed had me in question. As my appointment time was slightly changed twice before I even arrived here at 1040 am. So that rubbed me the wrong way, because I felt no one was on the same page nor was I properly explained a couple of things during the initial appointment making. Now don't get me wrong, this is still by far my 1st gl to choice for a dentist. The staff is very nice and I've never felt as though they recommend things that are not needed. I just felt the need to address the con first.( my experience only) Eventually after everything was straightened out. Personally i prefer seeing the same Dentist and make my appointments with DDS Armendariz who is great at explaining the procedures ahead of time and is a compassionate care giver. This place was really good about 10 years ago, now it's pretty bad. The office was unorganized. Why would you che isle me for a late appointment then tell me to come back? Some of us have to use PTO for appointments. I will never use this dentist again. They also overcharge for basic devices that should be included. Modesto is really lacking with quality dentist and quality doctors as well. I recommend going out of town for your dental needs. I came here about 5 months ago and was basically arguing with one of the front desk girls over my insurance (they had the incorrect info) on top of that I work at the insurance company that my insurance is through. Frequently asked if I was ok and was very clean. I saw her wipe down every piece of equipment she used after completing my exam. Marisol helped take the photos. She was also nice! I had braces put on my 14yr old daughter and my ex wife has insurance that's secondary and my insurance at the time mine was primary to pay maximum towards my daughter's braces. My ex wife's paid $1800 and mine paid $1000 and they said that while billing my insurance didn't pay the full 1k. So that's fine but I borrowed the rest so they charged me $5899.00 total that very day I gave 1k cash on my cards so with everything they so far recieved a little shy of 4k and when my daughter went in over two months later they said when they see her I need to before give a payment for a few months I missed or else they wouldn't see her? That right there left a bad taste in my mouth. So I paid over the phone $324 dollars for them to see her to take care of adjustments and they told my ex wife while my 14 year old daughter is in the dentist Ortho seat and said the Ortho placed the braces to high and there new Ortho wants to remove and have her come back to place where the new Ortho wants them. My daughter's teeth got worse and they say it wasn't put on wrong? so why was it removed? in the first place her uppers? They say well there not on wrong but they didn't compromise they didn't make price adjustments hold no accountability. Of course there going to say there not on wrong that there new Ortho just doesn't like where there at. But when my daughter had her braces put on originally a assistant is whom placed them and the Ortho just over looked it and said ok there good to discover they are on wrong? Just yesterday they seen my daughter to place the uppers back on correct and wanted another payment of $320 dollars and I'm the person that's responsible party with signed docs to make payments and they disclosed to my ex wife my personal financial obligation that's in my name to my ex wife when they know she has no obligation financial or payment plan. I'm absolutely disappointed after my ex wife called me and they wanted another 300 dollars because I wasn't current but yet I paid them just a week ago $324 dollars that they asked in order to see my daughter to remove upper braces because they claim there new Ortho doesn't like where there at. They also say while my daughter was on summer break and she had not gone in ,2 months while doing trips on summer break that her teeth is why they got worse which is B's. Because if the braces are on right doesn't like where the braces are that he will remove them because he don't like where there at? That's bullshit and they know it. I see braces banners all the time off freeways for $2999.99 and they have gotten well over 300% and still want to stiff me to the cleaners even by not offering a free cleaning to my daughter when she has insurance. I'm making phone calls to a commission and going to disclose not one issue. They will no longer get recommendations to future business with me. I was referred here for root canals and dumbly didn't do any research. I thought it would be an in and out procedure like my mom had done at a different dental office but after more than a year, I'm still having to go in and haven't had my root canals completed. Every single time I go in there I'm being charged for something. I think if they could charge me for breathing in their office, they would. The dentists and assistants are kind and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They treat me kindly and make me feel comfortable. I don't want to say that this is a trick to get me cool with the excessive charges and maxing out my insurance after one visit. It's disheartening to be charged like I have hundreds hanging out of my pockets when I'm welcomed kindly and have nice individuals work on my teeth. After some long thought, I find decided to give a true honest opinion about my experience with Sierra dental care. For those of you who have dentures I understand it's never fun going to a dentist. It is a long process sometimes as of no one looks forward to having dentures made that all being said I want to share my experience that I had, what was supposed to be for six weeks, turned into over 10 visits. Many of those visits were two hours. My experience is mainly with the lab they use as something that was promised me because of my continue frustration with the process. The two issues I have are with the lab changing my teeth in the middle of the process with no one's permission, the lab even came a couple times to Sierra dental. Right when we thought we had it as good as you can get with dentures the lab decided to change all the teeth on their own without communicating that with the dentist or myself the only excuse they had was she said that she wanted to start all over, which started a whole process again basically starting over again. The manager name Nancy told me while I was sitting in the chair in front of her colleagues because it taking so long months... she told me because of my enduring all that I went through, she told me specifically that she was going to offer me and give me a brand new set of dentures for my problems and my time. I would not write this down if she did not tell me that .. I even jokingly told her should I get that in writing in front of her staff. She told me I did not need it in writing because she was the manager and when I spoke to her later finally when I got a set of dentures that do not work they touch in the back so I can't completely close my front teeth she began to change her storyline. She told me she was going to offer me a brand new set besides the set that I had for my time and inconvenience and I excepted. I work in the customer service field, and if I told one of my customers and I promised them something and did not deliver, my customers would not trust me and would look at me differently if I didn't deliver on my promise. I didn't ask for that deal she offered it to me . This experience was very hard and difficult, taking up a lot of my time, because lack of communication, and the lab that chose to do things her way instead of the doctors way. I have a set of dentures now that I can't really use because the bite is not correct. Those of you who are thinking about getting implants and dentures I cannot recommend them or will I. The manager gave me her word and never fulfilled it. And topping that I started receiving a $30 bill from them, which I will not pay. It was probably one of the most trying times that I've had or ever had having dentures made. I will tell you this staff there are fantastic. The doctor or dentist is a good man but the communication between him and the lab is horrible the lab I will not recommend, Nancy told me that she was going to have another set for me made with another lab on the house but it really wasn't on the house because my time is worth something and I spent many many hours and the chair basically starting over and over again because the lab couldn't get it right And topping it off. The manager promised me something that she didn't fulfill. I never did polish my customers anything in front of other people and not come through. Or try to change the narrative. In summary, if you're looking for dentures, I recommend going somewhere else. And as I've read some of the other reviews, your appointment may be at 10 o'clock in the morning. Sometimes you don't get in until 1045 and I see that's a regular thing with many people that have left reviews. read more

This is only for the orthodontist provider. The staff is very nice and always polite however their scheduling is very frustrating. How can you only work 2 days a week? When we first started almost 3 years ago with Dr T we were told it was very important to come on time every month to have the wires tightened and/or changed. As soon as the new ortho came in all of a sudden it's ok to come every 2 months. I think it's more of a scheduling problem and I believe it has delayed my daughters care. I would appreciate more communication from the provider and an update on the progress of the braces more often. The customers/patients schedules should be more of a priority then the providers personal schedule. If the provider alone can not accommodate the practices amount of patients then something should be done. Hopefully something can improve sooner then later read more

A few good technicians work here that I am really going to miss. After 2 years of the management team they have running this place giving me the run around I am done with it. We used to LOVE sierra dental, this place now seems to focus on quantity of patience instead of quality of service. The wait times are a complete joke now, no point in having an appointment always takes atleast 45 minutes past the actually get you to a room now. Once in a room its another half hour. Had a cavity and was told I would have to come back another day to get it taken care of. Came in with appointment for 440. Didnt get out until 635 and the only thing they did was an xray and told me I needed to come back for cavity and a deep cleaning. This has been going on for the last 3 years now. The staff here was great, I called about an hour before closing on a Saturday(on a holiday weekend) because I had a crown fall off. They said if i could make it in within 10 minutes they could re-cement it for me. (I called approximately 7 other dentist offices that were also open and everyone refused). From the time I started calling to when my tooth was repaired was about an hour and a half. But my comment is to Dr. Mohammed Sirjani, he is absolutely the best ... he performed a root canal on me and I've never felt any pain. I even fell asleep. Never has anybody fell asleep through a Root canal But I did. And I have not felt any pain after. I want to thank him for the extreme care he gave me I cannot say enough of this man. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS. THIS IS WORTH READING: The place looks nice and office personnel are really nice which makes you feel like you chose the right place, but the "professionals" doing the work have absolutely no idea what they're doing, almost as if they're in training. I was told I would have braces for 1 year and a half at most. 2 years later, my orthodontist passed away and got a new one. This new one started from scratch because "he likes to do things his way" so I decided, if I'm going to be in treatment for longer, might as well get Invisalign. I was supposed to have Invisalign for 7 months tops and here I am now, 4 years after from my first visit, STILL wearing Invisalign with about another 10 years of treatment if I stay with them. My bite is not great, they shaved between my teeth to cause a gap for my teeth to shift and they haven't, if anything, they're shifting the wrong way. My teeth look the same if not worse than when I started and I've paid $3,300 out of pocket for NOTHING. Not to mention the time wasted, vacation and personal time taken from work, I'm in sales and sales is money, which I lost, and all the gas wasted. The office is clean, the extended hours are great, they will get you in right away.. but this is the first office that did a dozen x-rays during my root canal (I can understand a couple but they did like 12 total), and handed me a long list of "needed" procedures, cost included, at the end of my initial appointment. Recent issue: They refused to fix some cracked front teeth until I agreed to get a deep cleaning. I expressed that I did not want a deep cleaning, as I did not have the time or money to do it right now, and that I'd prefer to only fix my front teeth. My teeth looked ugly and the cavities hurt-- of course that would take priority! This struggle went on for 3 weeks. The receptionist told me at one point that "insurances require a deep cleaning before certain procedures.." I called other dentists for second opinions and all 3 confirmed that was nonsense. Those dentists weren't accepting new patients, so I called Sierra and pled with the receptionist to schedule me for these fillings. She reluctantly relented and I got them done that day. They look awful. Jagged, thin.. you can see where the filling and tooth join.. it's a mess. I've had composite fillings that look like actual tooth. They even said, post procedure not to "hesitate to return if I'm unsatisfied.. they'll fix this or that to my liking." IF I RETURN I HAVE TO PAY MORE. They are accessible and will handle emergencies (my root canal was an emergency), but they'll also try to screw you out of money. Called to make an appointment, as a new client. I was advised of the fee of V.P. of $29.00 and the services provided, the young lady was polite and professional. After a few hours, I received a text informing me about a "cancellation fee", if 48 hrs. noticed in not received of cancellation of appointment, wow. Is this how new patients are welcomed. If your policy is to charge a cancellation, it should be advised at initial call. Point to be made, is the appointment was made on Friday, for Monday @ 2pm and I received text @ 2:03pm. I don't know who does the billing here but they get the estimate procedure billing incorrect all the freaking time!! They charge me one amount after the procedure is done and then I get another bill in the mail stated I owned them money. They threaten me on the letter to send me to collection. I came to this location a couple of months ago to get a toothache resolved because my dentist was out sick. They put in epoxy for my cracked tooth that arose from a metal filling, which had to be extracted. They seemed like nice people and have very sophisticated dental technology, but they are very unprofessional. First of all, they are 30 to 45 minutes late for your appointment and come up with some excuse every time, including patients not responding to novocaine. Secondly, my problem was not resolved. I still might need a cap for my cracked tooth, according to my current dentist. I'm still having pain after two months. Lastly, they can't keep a consistent schedule! I called today to inquire about a bill payment, but I got a recording saying they were closed for no reason whatsoever, despite their business hours being 8 am to 4:30 pm. Not surprised by all the negative reviews after my experience with the office. If I could rate less than 1 star I would based on the unprofessionallisim and disorganization of the staff. I am writing this review as an assistant who had applied to the available position in their office. After my conversation with Terry, I had been led to believe that money was not an issue and they were in dire need of help, as many of their staff had left as a result of the pandemic and complications related to it. Terry made it very aware that he was very interested in my abilities and anxious to get the ball rolling in the hiring process.. I was directed to make arrangements with Nancy (aka Val) to schedule a working interview, which was set up for a Saturday. Nancy informed me she would not be present that day however, someone would be there to show me around and help as needed. I was instructed to arrive 15 minutes before 8:00 am, so I could orient myself before the first patient. I arrived as scheduled and waited in line at the front desk while the only person at the desk was handling paperwork, discussing payment amount and answering insurance questions for the patient in line ahead of me. The front desk lady did not acknowledge me once in the 5 minutes I was standing and waiting patiently. Not even a simple gesture of a nod, smile or just a second to say, thank you for your patience, I will be right with you. When she finally called me to the desk I told her my name and that I was there for a working interview, and she appeared unaware and unsure of what to do, as she went to someone else who had arrived and was sitting at the front desk. She came back to me and handed me an application which turned out to be 3-4 pages. I quickly filled it out, thinking that it might had been more efficient to have me fill it out afterwards, so I could get started with the interview process. I took the application back up to the front desk and proceeded to stand in line again. And again no acknowledgedment from either one of the ladies at the front desk. By this time it was 8:00am. So, as instructed I sat in the lobby waiting, watching the clock, and observing what looked like chaos. Apparently, a patient had been referred and scheduled for that morning and a man from the glass office at the front desk had come out to tell her she did not have a scheduled appt. By this time she was talking loudly trying to explain that her other office made the appointment and she had the paper work to verify this in her car. All the while the man was telling her that the Dr was booked with other patients and could not see her. By this time it was 8:30am, patients were coming into the office steadily and being taken back by staff, and not one office staff member had looked in my direction or approached me. I dare say if I had not reacted at that point I would have been sitting in the lobby indefinitely. This was a definitive RED flag. I approached the lady at the desk who had given me the application and I told her I had been waiting since 7:45am. I was absolutely stunned when she looked at me and asked my last name as if I was a patient. I told her that I wasn't a patient and why I was there and then I proceeded to walk out of the office. There are times when things don't work out and in that moment you know it was for the best. And this was one of those times. It was evident from the start that lack of communication was a concern. I had spoke with Terry who was supposedly a founding member of this company and he was making it apparent that he was ready to hire me, that money was not an issue and could be worked out, and then there was Nancy (aka Val) who I had spoke with in detail, and then I received a message from Val. Dr. Touni is the worse orthodontist I have EVER dealt with. He is extremely rude and has a horrible attitude, and when asked a question he answers like you are stupid. Not professional what so ever! I have been in this office for a few years with a previous Dr and he was very profesional and would answer my question in a respectful manner unlike this new DR. I was so unhappy and dissatisfied with HIS service and professionalism that I decided to discontinue my service and remove my braces. I will not be returning to this office ever again, and would recommend that you think twice before coming to this place. read more

I received excellent service and treatment all the way around. Had a severe toothache and called around noon to hopefully get an appointment for after work the same day. They were very accommodating and worked within my schedule. Showed up and was treated very courteously and after a short wait was seen and fixed up. Afterwards my options were thoroughly explained to me and they worked within my budget to come up with a treatment plan. read more

I wish I could give different ratings here based in different things. First let me say my whole family of 4 has gone here for a few years now but I am just writing this review. Starting with the positives: The office is updated and very clean. The employees are always friendly and they even have some massage chairs in a few of the rooms for relaxation. They have screen savers with fish swimming which I found relaxing to look at, and even the music is fun. I've had cleanings and fillings and X rays here and no pain! Here are some negatives: Beware of over X- rays! If you go in for cleaning you don't need X-rays and you only need X-rays once a year for prevention unless you are still having work; I believe giving X-rays every 6 months is only to get more insurance money!.. I had a male dentist there tell me I needed a crown on an old big filling since it was cracked. I discussed it with another dentist at same office who actually told me the truth. She said I could see if a filling would work again, which she did beautifully! Can I tell you how much a favor that was, since once you put a crown on it never really feels like the original tooth again, not to mention the $$$ they lost with prepping and also the crown itself! I'm convinced I never needed a crown and it was a ploy at getting more money from me.... To bottom line this... This office is where we will continue to go but I am in charge and not afraid to ask questions and get second opinions.... Tip: Don't be afraid to say "NO thanks!" with a smile, or "I'll think about it!" It's your mouth, your money and remember they work for you! read more
