I recently took the urban close precision course with Vic. Can't say enough good things. Great class to take no matter what level you are at. Vic will help guide and educate you in becoming a better and more confident marksman. I will be taking the mountain ops class next.

I'm so happy we found Vic at Sierra Element Tactical Firearms Training. Vic helped my husband and I set up a really unique and special gender reveal during COVID. My husband was dead set on blowing something up for our reveal (safely of course) and Vic came highly recommend. Thank goodness he was there to help. What we had ordered was totally insufficient; so on the fly he made great suggestions and was able to improv the perfect solution. After a brief firearms training he made us feel safe, comfortable, qualified. My husband we as able to hit the target in one shot! Cannot recommend him enough. Would absolutely return for more intensive training. Thank you Vic!

Met this instructor team via Stunts Unlimited. I appreciate that they broke us up into groups based on current skill level to maximize our time on the range. For film, we need practice moving and firing. It was safety first and skills, skills, skills. I love when instructors check in, provide feedback and ask for feedback. Not only do I highly recommend them, I can't wait to take it to the next level.

Sierra Element is one of my favorite firearms training companies in Southern California. Victor and his staff are law enforcement with military backgrounds. No matter what your experience level, Sierra element offers a variety of training courses from beginner to advanced. I booked a private training session with a few friends and we all had so much fun shooting and learning. We all left wanting to come back and train again.

To date I've taken a few classes with SE from Low Light classes to Rifles classes and each class I feel like I left with an abundance of new knowledge, that can help out in a potential real world scenario or to hone in on your existing skills. SE has some of the best instructors in the business with an amazing amount on knowledge to share with each and every student. The SE instructors push you to do better and become the best shooter you can be. I'd absolutely recommend taking one of the SE classes, they are not only informative but fun.

Honoring the right to keep and bear arms.

Most other classes I have taken do not care how accurate you are. There's a lot of information on the internet on how to shoot but nothing beats having an experienced instructor in person to help correct and guide you through the process. The class had a nice progression that I think worked well for a new shooter like myself. First we talked about safe gun handling practices and gun laws followed by a demonstration of each component of a semi auto handgun. Next we talked about sight alignment before finishing the class with live shooting. Overall I think I gained some valuable information. I recommend this to anyone who is an absolute beginner with handguns

This…read morecourse filled a critical gap in my firearms proficiency - bridging the space between pure marksmanship and real-world application. The class provided structure, guidelines, and valuable considerations on when to use lethal force, how to apply it effectively, and how to do so while minimizing collateral risks and maximizing the chances of prevailing in court (especially important here in California). Most importantly, it emphasized how to carry yourself in a way that reduces the likelihood of ever needing to deploy lethal force in the first place. For context, I have a competitive shooting background and am confident in my ability to put accurate rounds on target quickly - both in a square-range and more dynamic settings. My weakness? Applying that skill in real-world situations. Marksmanship is just one side of the coin. Tactics - the knowledge of how and when to employ that marksmanship - is the other. This class helped tie those two sides together, showing how to maximize survivability during an incident and in the post-incident aftermath involving law enforcement, prosecutors, jurors, and the inevitable Monday-morning quarterbacks. Looking forward to ITTS creating Tactical Concepts 2 and 3... Highly recommend for anyone who wants to take their skills beyond just hitting the target.

I've attended several CCW qualification classes, and this was by far the worst experience I've had…read more Instead of focusing on CCW laws and proper instruction, a large portion of the class was spent listening to the instructor talk about his personal life--his first wife passing away in a ski accident, meeting his current wife on a dating site, her proposing to him, his mother's cancer, not being able to share a bathroom with his wife, her job at Cedars, becoming a police officer at 18 but not being able to buy his own firearm, being a Taekwondo champion who lost to an Olympic medalist, owning over 30 Glocks, and on and on. Roughly half the class time was spent listening to stories about how great he believes he is, rather than learning the laws surrounding concealed carry. We didn't even get a proper lunch break because so much time was wasted waiting for him to take cigarette breaks. The remaining time was spent being told there is only one correct way to hold a firearm--his way. If you didn't comply exactly, you risked being disqualified. He openly bragged about how many students he disqualifies each session. In my opinion, if a student is disqualified, it reflects a failure in instruction--especially when the issue isn't safety, but not conforming to the instructor's personal preference. He also went off on tangents about not feeling comfortable shopping or spending time in his own neighborhood in Sylmar, saying he prefers to shop in Santa Clarita because he believes his area isn't safe. On top of that, he aggressively pushed Glock firearms, claiming they are the only worthwhile option--conveniently mentioning that he also sells a Glock cleaning course. Overall, this class was a waste of time and money. If you want to actually learn CCW laws and receive professional instruction, save your money and find a real instructor--not someone more interested in talking about himself than teaching.
