I called Amber with Lockhart 4 Life and she was able to get me in the next day! She made special arrangements to meet with me one on one. I was able to renew my ACLS and PALS in the same day! Amber was very knowledgeable and had tons of real life examples to help support the material we were going over. The location was very well kept and there was lots of parking available. It is vital as a mom and as head of a Kids Club to keep my CPR skills up to date. I am a busy mom so having a condensed, flexible CPR class fit my life perfectly. Wow, I never thought I would learn EKGs so quickly! Amber is really knowledgeable and what I loved the most is being able to ask questions during the class... She really does her best to individualize her teaching and accommodate every learning style. Also what I really liked is that she brought real EKG strips (not just textbook strips) which made me a lot more comfortable and prepared for looking at hospital strips. I took the acls and pals course too, and although it's a lot of information, I would say I walked out of there feeling much more confident in being part of a code! I did my CPR/AED training last night for adult, child, and infant. It was very easy to understand. Amber taught the class. She was by far the best instructor I have ever had when taking a CPR class. All I can say is WOW! Amber was so thorough, yet her instruction was very easy to follow. I am 57 years old and have never taken a CPR class. You can shame me but I'm sure I'm not the only one. I was scared to even try. I thought this was so much harder than it really was. Amber put me at ease the entire time. Constantly encouraging me with words like "your doing really well". I say she was thorough because of the experience I had the very next day. I was on the dreadful 405 freeway when a three car accident happens directly in front of me. I was far enough back to miss being a part of it however close enough to see these cars turning and twisting around in the lanes. As I approached, I found my self assessing the surrounding area. As I continued to get closer I was looking in the vehicles for drivers and passengers who may need help. Fortunately for all of them, they were sitting up and looking around dazed but all were moving and definitely breathing fine. I was the first car to pass by the cars. I reached to call 911. As I passed on by I realized. WOW! I felt prepared. I was following the steps I had been taught by Amber and I was ready to step in and help. What a difference Amber has made in my life. Now I even feel prepared if one of my 10 grandchildren need help as well. Thank you Amber!! read more
