On our latest visit here I asked for another still off-menu A.B.L.T. on Sourdough, and was told that it was up to the chef on duty. The chef acceded to my request, and presented me with a large avocado-laced and bacon strip-filled sandwich that was a delight to eat, accompanied by very good slightly crispy French Fries. Prior to receipt of my sandwich, I polished off six very tasty crispy Potstickers. Their taste was further enhanced after being dipped in Soy Chili Dipping Sauce. And Diane mainly ate an appetizer of Fried Shrimp and Calamari. While the Potstickers were as large and numerous as before, the Fried Shrimp and Calamari were much smaller in size and number than we had been served on previous locations. I also enjoyed a Cup of Chili that packed a lot of heat. Diane received French Fries that were very seasoned after she had specifically asked for no seasoning. But our server informed her that the French Fries in issue were received by the restaurant the way they were served to her. We want to Sierra Gold after the movies yesterday, Saturday 7/18, about 4pm. all 3 of us ordered 3 separate items that came with fries. my burger came with regular fries, our friends order came with a large order of curly. fries and my husband got the waffle cut fries. when he requested the waffle fries, he was told that it would $2 extra, he said that was fine, but when he got his plate, it looked like that he only got 8-10 fries. it wasn't very much, but it was $2 extra?? when the waitress came by to check to see if everything was oka, my husband said no. She asked him what's going on and he explained to her that he's not getting his $2 extra worth of fries. Her only response was that, "Oh I see what you're saying. yea, they weigh the portions out to a certain grams,. so. My husband was like ok, but before he say anything about it further, she was like said, enjoy your meal and left. I felt that the experience could have been handled a little bit better. Sierra Gold is a 24/7 gaming , bar, restaurant type of place with about five locations in Vegas. This is also a sister business of the PTs 24/7 gaming, bar, restaurant places. These places offer a mostly American type menu that also includes breakfast dishes. The Aliante North Las Vegas Location is very spacious with a large bar and multiple dining areas. I DO NOTE THAT THIS LOCATION DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE HANDICAP SUITABLE. I wasn't able to explore the whole restaurant but I only saw one traditional table and it was up a few stairs. Nearly all the seating here are high tops. Also I can imagine nobody would be able to get a wheelchair into the entrance with that too close fence. They offer a nice variety of items on their menu. I thought the five different salads they offer seemed just right for lunch so I tried the Asian Chopped Salad. Our server was very helpful and asked if I wanted the dressing tossed into it or on the side. I received a nice large fresh salad. The chicken in it seemed freshly made and was OK. The major problem with the salad were the Fresno Chilies because they were unusually BURNING HOT. And I didn't notice it at the time but my salad was missing the cilantro and the scallions. But it still was a good salad. My husband really wanted a burger but here YOU CAN'T GET A MEDIUM-RARE BURGER because they only cook them medium-well. He went with the grilled Italian sandwich with fries. He said that the fries were very tasty. The sandwich was ok but not the best quality meats. Also the roll was grilled but still cold. Pleasantly surprised! For some reason we thought this restaurant would be more expensive than what it was. Pricing was comparable to other restaurants in the Aliante area. We shared a burger for lunch and it was great with 2 quarter pound patties! Kelsey was a fantastic server and food arrived quickly. Ambiance at 12:00PM on a Sunday was nice and quiet. Smoking section is by the bar and non-smoking is in the same room but upper section. Overall we would highly recommend and def visit again! read more

When we go here, we normally order the Gilroy pizza which comes with garlic ranch sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, tomato, and red onions. If you ask for the pizza to come out in party-cuts, 4 people can easily have enough. The pizza wasn't burnt and it was really good. We also got two (2) orders of the bone-in wings. Good music, good energy, and the kind of atmosphere where you accidentally stay three hours longer than planned and start telling strangers your life story. Now. I do have to mention the guy with the mullet. I don't know if he works there, owns the place, or is simply part of the décor--but he moves through the bar with an intensity that suggests he has either won multiple bar fights or could fix a motorcycle in under seven minutes. The bartender Homer needs to be fired and arrested. Over the last few weeks I've gone in there twice. Both times this man was extremely rude to me. The first time I played the machines a little, played, pool and ate. Well before I left, he began bopping around like the meth head he is yelling that I didn't pay for my drinks. It was a misunderstanding because the group I was with thought that he included my drinks on their bill. Next time he was just rude anytime I ordered a drink. Then it dawned on me. I'm always the only blank person in the group. My suspicions were confirmed when he called me a Black bitch. We argued, I told him how I know he sells drugs after hours at the bar and that he is known to stash coke in the mens restroom. Trust me, he's the go to guy for illegal drugs after hours. His eyes were dilated and he couldn't stop twitching and tweaking. Since I called him out on being on drugs he threatened to call the police on me. Sierra Gold is my favorite local bar. I actually call it "Sierra Mist." They have an amazing menu with great happy hour specials twice a day. You can sit at the bar and play a video poker machine or sit at a regular table in the restaurant. There's lots of seating in the bar area that's set up around a circular bar and lots of TVs. I always come here to watch NFL games and NCAA basketball throughout the year. It's also just a great bar to hang out at even if there's not a game on. They have half off pizza and beers between 5-7 and 12am-2am. You can't go wrong with a half priced beer! My go-to pizza is The Gilroy. It's a white sauce pizza with sausage, peperoni, artichoke hearts, and salami. (I think that's all the toppings) It's delicious and we always have left overs to take home. Sierra Gold even serves breakfast items. I've always had fantastic service at this location and even found some Carolina Panther loving bar tenders! Sierra Golds is one of my favorite local establishments. There is plenty of parking all around this location. Happy hour drinks are the best and the food tastes great. Menu items are flavorful and hits the spot especially after a long week on Friday after work. Service is great especially when La Toya is working. She gets to know the guests and ensures you get your order in before happy hour ends. She also has a great memory and always puts in the order correctly. We're locals and live down the street from here, and visit frequently. I'd like to say we're somewhat regular's. I appreciate the happy hour and feel they have better food than PT's. The waitresses/servers are great. Bailey and Toya are amazing and always so friendly and take time to converse with us. We have had Heaven as our waitress several times and for the most part, she is friendly. However, when it gets a bit busy, she gets overwhelmed and becomes rude & snappy. We were here recently having a few drinks for my husband's birthday. Some friends showed up. Then more friends showed up, before we knew it, there were 13 of us. One of the guys with us was a retired Air Force Veteran and is super nice. He made a comment about our waitress being rude and avoiding us. It took a while for her to come back and take our orders as our glasses had been empty for a while. My suggestion would be to learn how to put your poker face on when you're overwhelmed. It's not cool to be rude to customers because you're stressed. Moving on. The bussers are also very friendly and we have had many friendly conversations with the guys. The cheesesteak was even better. I'm super hesitant on cheesesteaks just because it's so easy to dry and over cook the meat but not here. Overall this night was even better because an intense knights game was on and the environment was super fun and friendly. Let me start off by saying this was my second time coming here. First time was just for a couple of drinks and to play pool! They have one pool table and only charge $5 an hour to play all the pool you want! The second time I came was to actually eat some food and hang out with friends. For bar food it was pretty good. I got a cheese pizza which was delicious, an order of the soft baked pretzels which came in a pretty decent sized portion and the chicken and ranch quesadilla which was stuffed to the max with chicken! Met some peeps after a quick trip to Smith's, decided to grab a quick Sunday bite... Sierra was close, not crowded and they make a decent bloody mary and Mimosa... The coffee wasn't bad either. I had a simple ham steak and eggs with sourdough toast...came with scalloped style fried potatoes which were pretty good. The ham steak was substantial, average taste , went well with the eggs and potatoes.. the toast, meh... But who goes out for toast?
