Wow, I was amazed at the service from Sierra Plumbing. I needed help putting together a water storage tank system for my house and called in with a few questions. I got JW on the phone and seriously, I still can't believe how helpful he was. He made a whole plan for my system with every last details considered. Every fixture and coupler and elbow. Just got off the phone with the guy over there who purportedly draws up irrigation plans. I dropped off my yard diagram and measurements for a sprinkler system about a year or so ago. I chatted with him at the time I dropped everything off and he said he would get back to me. I never heard from him again. Due to the drought, I was in no hurry to implement said system since I definitely was not going to be planting anything new at the time. However, as I mentioned, I just got off the phone with him to see what was up. I may be implementing the system this spring. He offhandedly informed me plans that old usually get thrown out if he never hears from anyone. When he was supposed to call me. And all my measuring and figuring, several hours worth, is out the window. His last remark to me after stating "we'd have to start all over" was to "have fun." I was polite, however, many expletives came to mind. I just checked; they're still coming to mind. They're right there, right at the tip of my tongue. First of all, he was the "professional" who stated he would call me when the plans were finished. Usually, one does NOT have to baby sit a "professional" to find out how things are going, usually the "professional" gets back to the customer as soon as they can and tries to complete the sale. Usually. At the very least a phone call to me might have been warranted to say they were about to throw away 3-4 hours of my work. Maybe they are so busy over there they do not need my business. I can take a hint. I will have to get out now and take umpteen measurements all over again and make a nice, purdy diagram. And when I am finished, you can rest assured (after making copies) I will take them to anywhere other than Sierra Plumbing Supply. read more

My wife and I remodeled our home, including a kitchen and three bathrooms, using fixtures from Sierra. Some--particularly faucets, shower heads and the like--were fine. For others, however, I wish we'd gone elsewhere. They suggested their "top of the line" toilets, and out of three of them the flush mechanism on all three doesn't work and the toilet regularly clogs. They also suggested an instant hot water system for the kitchen When we called explaining that it either emitted steam and hot water spurts from the tap all the time or the water wasn't hot enough for coffee, they suggested calling the company rep, who had no real solution for either problem. If I were to remodel again, I'd check Consumer Reports and follow their recommendations, even if it meant a trip to Roseville. It may be one of the best "in town", but that's not saying much. read more

Let me share my experience at Sierra Plumbing Showroom...Before I start I want to stress I am not easily offended nor overly sensitive..My Mom and I went to the showroom in search of a Pfister replacement shower head and matching knobs. We were helped by a woman who was patronizing and a bit condescending, explaining to us we had no options in choice and we could Just " hide it behind a shower curtain" at this point I had to chuckle and state "we have a shower door." Our interaction continued along these lines...My overall impression was she either doesn't like women or was having a really, really bad day! These guys at Sierra Plumbing supply are great! They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They help you try to figure out what you need to get done. When I went in there to go get some two and a half inch PVC pipe for my hot tub, I only needed 6 inches and they just cut it off for me and gave it to me for free.
