Tastings: $18/person for 6 pours We've only visited this rustic winery once but had a very nice experience. It's located on the northeast slope of Palomar Mountain and the property is planted with Bordeaux grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. In addition to the Bordeaux wines, they make wines from their certified organic vineyard, featuring Rhône and Sicilian varietals grown in the mountainous region of De Luz, located in the western hills of Temecula. Their tasting room is small, but the patio offers beautiful views of the vineyards and surroundings hills. The wines were good, and service was friendly and knowledgeable. They're dog friendly and welcome you to bring a picnic. It's a little out of the way, but I highly recommend you give Sierra Roble Winery a try for yourself. It's been a little while since our visit, so I think we're due for a follow up...stay tuned. read more

We found this great winery in Warner Springs by the recommendation of some wine lovers we met at a different nearby winery. The wines are really good and service was really on point. They sell a Petit Verdot was was really excellent and the rest of the wines were also great. The tasting room was really small and it was a very hot day to be outside, but it was okay because everyone was really nice. I recommend you try Sierra Roble Winery and you a tasting yourself. Wines are great and it is a great way to show your support for a local business. read more

The Mrs. And I stopped by Sierra Robles Winery and Vineyard after tasting at Hawk Watch Winery. The wineries along Highway 79 continue to impress me. They are small, but mighty. We arrived around 11:30 and were the people tasting until another couple arrived about 20 minutes later. The gentleman who poured for us was incredibly kind. The tasting room is very small and cozy, but we decided to sit outside. The weather was slightly chilly, but comfortable. Sierra Robles specializes in reds and every wine we tried was really good. So good that we joined the wine club. read more

Sierra Robles is one of many new wineries and tasting rooms in the expanding San Diego wine country. Nestled between the San Diego mountains and a beautiful view of the valley this little tasting room was a pleasant surprise after a stop at Hawkwatch winery up the road. Jeanine and her husband the owners were welcoming and gracious as they walked us through the tasting line up up of Bordeaux blend wines. We enjoyed everything while relaxing on the outdoor patio that wraps around the front of the tasting room. They have plenty of seating and a small fire pit as well. We stopped by this winery based on someone's recommendation. We expected the wines to be OK but we were blown away by the quality of each wine we tried. It's a small place with nice views and friendly owners. They are only open Friday through Sunday. Their prices are refreshingly reasonable, and the wines are a step above at least 90% of the wineries in Temecula. It was a no-brainer for us to join their wine club. If you are a red wine lover, you will love this winery, especially if you're into Bordeaux varietals. Highly recommended. read more

Wonderful little winery near Warner Springs! Highly recommend the little drive from the winery row in Temecula. This winery is much calmer and the ambiance is definitely for those who want an intimate and relaxing tasting. We went in March 2023 and it was $18 for tasting of 6 wines and you get to keep the beautiful wine glass! If you ask me, that's a better deal than any other winery in the Temecula valley. I loved the owners, they were a kind couple who seemed to have many local friends who stop by every weekend. They were kind and offered to let us do our tasting outside since it was getting a bit cramped in the tasting room. Overall, if you're looking for a place to get a little crazy and have loud music blasting in your ear and huge parties everywhere - don't come here. This place is quaint, sweet, and definitely made for people who want to taste amazing wine and enjoy the beautiful scenery and people. We will be back! read more

Charming winery located in the beautiful Warner Springs valley. Great wines with a wonderful overlook of the surrounding area to drink your wine. We stayed for one night in the back by the vineyard thru Harvest Host and camped in our 20 foot travel trailer. Nice quiet area. Within walking distance of the campsite there is an equidistant winery up the dirt road called Shadow Mountain. So you actually get two wineries to visit and maximize your time. Very friendly owners. It's a drive from Temecula but if you want an authentic winery experience and fantastic wines, this is the place to go. Petit Verdot and their cuvee are amazing. This is my new favorite winery in Southern California. Tucked beautifully in Warner Springs alongside the green mountainside and never ending oak trees. This gem of a winery is by no means large. The tasting room is smaller than your family room where the owners themselves will pour for you. Not only are they excited to tell you all about their wine, but they are the sweetest couple you'll ever meet. They produce 500 cases each vintage total. Their barrel room consists of barrique barrels (small barrels) stacked four high - all French oak. The room itself stays cool with a dedicated air conditioner unit to keep the wine as stable as possible. The view outside is beautiful. They have a small front deck with tables and chairs to relax and open your favorite wine. Enjoy some cheese that they sell on property or bring your own. The wine here is out of this world. Currently all red wines. Currently all Bordeaux. Honestly, not even an average wine on the list. Every wine was outstanding. My favorites are the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon Select, however, I picked up a Petit Verdot and Reserve Merlot in addition. I also joined their wine club which we now number 100 strong. I look forward to supporting this winery as they grow - not necessarily in size, but in strength of character. Keep true to your wine integrity and people will follow. This winery is a true leader and one we should all look to emulate. Congratulations folks, you rock. read more

Dave and Jeanine had just finished with a wine club party on April 6th, yet they were super gracious enough to allow my wife, Dania, and me to do a wine tasting at the end of their busy day. This is absolutely the best place on the planet for wine. Dave and Jeanine are wonderful people and their wines are second to none. Love the homey atmosphere and great views, but their wines make the day. We always bring a picnic and order a few bottles while we enjoy Dave and Jeanine's company. Just finishing off a bottle of Puesta del Sol 2014 and I am pleasantly surprised with how great it is. You have to go, you have to enjoy, because if you don't, it will be a great loss. Recently stumbled on this gem while visiting friends who live east of Temecula. We planned to go wine tasting in Temecula but decided to stay closer to our friends' home. We were glad we did. Sierra Roble has a beautiful tasting room, lovely property and wonderful customer service. The winemakers were more than eager to talk to us about their journey to open a winery, discussed with us what we were tasting and even allowed us to step in the barrel room. The quality of the wines (all reds) surprised us. We have done our fair share of wine tasting - Napa, Sonoma, Central Valley, SoCal and Oregon so we are not new to wine tasting. The pours were generous (thank you). The take-away wine glass is a nice quality German crystal. What a great experience. Sierra Roble would be a perfect spot to bring a picnic lunch, buy a bottle of Red and enjoy the peace and quiet. We will visit again! read more

Loved this place. We decided to stop on our way from Temecula to Julian area. They were having a group party at the time, but welcomed us any ways. We tasted and enjoyed almost all the wines. We got a kick out of the wine group that was visiting as well. Wines that we liked the most were the cab franc and cab Sauvignon. They do not have whites. Worth a visit. read more

All I can say about this place is "wow!" The wine is amazing, the owners Dave and Jeanine were so kind, knowledgable, and fun, and the views at this winery were incredible. I purchased the Merlot. It was delicious! My son in law purchased the Petit Verdot and it was one of his favorite wines of all time. That is coming from a wino who constantly travels from San Diego to Napa wine country.
