I stopped in for an impromptu wine tasting and was met with an incredible experience! Virgil was just an overall amazing hostess and the wine selection was the best of the best from local San Diego County wineries. To top it all off, the wine tasting was so inexpensive!! Shoutout to Albert and Virgil for providing such an amazing experience!

This is a small tasting bar within the Julian Station. We enjoyed our chocolate and wine tasting. Selena was very knowledgeable about the wines from the region. She spent a lot of time talking to us about the varietals from the local wineries. The chocolate was tasty as well. We found a couple of wines that we liked and purchased them. We can't want to return and see what new wines they have to taste.

Cute little place located inside Julian station. I opted to do a wine and chocolate pairing for $19.. and you get to keep your logo wine glass. My friends and I were the only ones in the store. The staff were very personable and easy to hold a conversation with. The tastings had a variety of wines -- red, white, sweet, and dry. The pours were right on point with size. The chocolate was actually pretty good quality for wine pairings.. I'm familiar with the chuao brand and was happy to see the place pairing local chocolate with local wines. For all you designated drivers out there, they also offer a chocolate tasting for $5.

While in Julian I made a stop in to the Julian Station to check it out. From the outside you cant tell just how much is inside. I came across the Julian Wine & Chocolate tasting room while me and my wife were looking for a quick drink and a spot to sit and relax for a bit. She wanted some wine so this would be her stop. The flight was tempting at 6 tastings for $11, but she didn't want any white wine which the flight had 2 of. So I ordered up the Cab glass for $9. She loved it. Karen was running the tasting room and was very nice and helpful. She gave me the low down on the wines that night and was very friendly. This is a great stop to hang out at night and do some tastings and shopping in the Station. There are couches and an arcade with a pool table and air hockey to enjoy.

This was a fun little stop on our way to Julian. My friend isn't a wine drinker and she didn't think she would like the reds and dryer wines but to her surprise she really enjoyed them. We did a wine and chocolate pairing and the chocolate is locally made and is pretty amazing! The wine is also local to San Diego county and we started with an apple wine which was the sweetest of them all and really good. As we went from whites to reds the depth of flavor got better. The hostess was awesome, friendly, attentive and pretty knowledgeable in regards to the wines. If you happen to be driving out to Julian stop in for a wine and chocolate pairing... I highly recommend!

Great place to go for some amazing wine. Family owned and operated. Love Alfred, he has an amazing passion for what he does! Plus right now they are selling some beautiful lilacs from his grove!! Can't get better than this!!

Cute location. Located within a community of other mead, hard cider tastings, antique stores and gift shops. Oh, and if you're hungry there's an authentic Mexican food restaurant next door. I will say I did the tasting and didn't really like what I tried. The whites weren't very crisp and the rose had way to much of an oak flavor. Meh. Cute for the experience but not the best of wines...

What a special place! And our server was so awesome!

This awkward little space wasn't the problem for me. I was served my first flat hard cider serving in a filthy glass. I kindly asked for a clean glass which I was given with an apology. There was food reminents on the tasting counter, so I had to try to avoid putting my arms down. The place was just not clean. I didn't enjoy anything I tasted until I tried their passion fruit sangria. It was quite tasty and refreshing. If you bought the bottle of passion fruit wine, the recipe came with. The pourer was so kind and lovely to talk to, she was the best part of the experience. Unfortunately, I would not revisit this "cellar".
