I had heard about their famed apple wine and had to check it out! We each got a glass of their 2021 Dolcezza Dulce, Estate Grown Hart Family Orchard. It's a slightly sweet apple wine produced entirely from apples from their orchard. Super crisp and light- perfect to enjoy on a sunny day!

They pretty much had 50% less apples than they did last year so they were trying very hard to get all these apples into our bags and home safely for our own apple cobbler and apple pie. We were able to fill up three bag bags of apples, small apples, but still very flavorful , Pippin and Jonathan's and some empires .. They do allow service dogs . Super fun activity however we were there on October 4 th Honestly, I think the season would probably be about done by now .. there's plenty to do and Julian. They have dirt parking. They estimate that the bag holds 6-7 lbs of apples. When we went they said there were 5 apple varieties but three of them were pretty picked through. This was the 4th day they were open for the season. It is a pretty small apple orchard. That being said, we were able to get a full bag although a lot of apples were small or ones that looked nice only turned out to have wormholes in them. Lots of tossed apples on the ground too. Parking is all in one area now which is better than previous years where there were multiple. Some food and drinks vendors right outside the entrance. They don't sell apple cider or apple cider donuts here sadly.

Though I still feel the southern California wines aren't as good as the northern California wines, I'm glad that it's becoming more and more common and I do have to admit that it's improved greatly over the last 10 years. They provided wagons and harvester baskets to gather the fruit (though we may have used the wagons to haul the babies ). The apples and pears were soooo fresh, delicious and juicy, especially the gala apples! There was something for everyone, some real gems up high that we used the tool for, and plenty of nice ones down below for the toddlers to pick. We got a really nice haul for a great price, and enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful autumn scenery. There is a nice clean bathroom available there as well, which can sometimes be hard to come by in Julian!
