Ernie did our patio cover a few months ago. He was professional, knowledgeable, obviously had lots of experience In patios and the construction process with permits, products ect. We had a few people come over for quotes and they were obviously sales men only they had no construction experience. Had to call other people for simple product related question. It had been finished only one day (our home backs up to a golf course) and we had a golfer stop and ask us who did our patio cover. Ernie Arango, one of the owners, came out when he said he would, and on time. Gave us a fair estimate and kept to estimate. We were familiar with there product as we had a similar patio cover built for our home in CA. The installers were first rate, really knew their business. Had them give me an estimate on retractable solar screens for my west facing patio and a fixed screen for one of my west facing windows. Ernie was very personable and knowledgeable and we discussed several options, powered and manual, and placement alternatives. He also recommended an electrician to do the pre-wiring for the powered screens and he came with the electrician to show him the work that needed to be done and to discuss options with me as to how to run the necessary conduit. The electrician came about a week later and did the work at a reasonable price.The screens took about two weeks to arrive from the manufacturer and were promptly installed. A great job and I am very pleased with their work and the completed project. They are the only company that I could find in Northern Nevada that carries and installs retractable solar screens but I do recommend them highly. read more

I wish I could give more stars than this! Sierra Shading is absolutely awesome. I tried two other companies in the Reno area to get my sun shades serviced beginning in late May. Both of them repeatedly blew me off, never returned calls or followed through on appointments. 3 months later and incredibly frustrated, I finally found Sierra Shading and gave them a try not really expecting much given my past attempts with the other companies. To my delight, I received an almost immediate reply and they came out two days later!! They were professional, friendly and efficient. The only complaint is mine, and that is that I didn't call them FIRST! Save yourself a lot of hassle and call these guys for your sun screens or shades. Sierra Shading just installed european roller shutters on my 2 large weather side window fronts. They look and work great! I am in quite a remote location and have a hard time getting companies to perform work here often waste weeks with calls and ditched appointments. Those guys were reliable and professional from the beginning to the end. Also the window fronts had some curve and they came up with a great solution to use only one panel per window front. I searched and searched to find a company that could do what I had envisioned. It was heaven sent when I found Ernie and Pat! If all companies gave the customer service that this company does, life would would be smoother all around. They are professional, polite, prompt, and they actually answer their phones!!! I can not stress how pleased I am with Sierra Shading, and especially dealing with Ernie! He was very pleasant, friendly, and professional. I had called two other companies for quotes to install a patio cover, and Ernie of Sierra Shading was not only much lower in price, but the other companies both said to allow 3 to 5 months to get approvals and finish the job, when I explained to Ernie that I had a very ill wife, and that time to get the job done was very important to me, he went way out of the way to expedite the whole process, including hand delivering the engineering drawings to my homeowners association. From the time I signed the contract, and the time the job was finished was 1 month and 3 days! The men who did the work were very nice, and even though I had a last minute design change, that did not require additional material, or extra labor, they did not charge anything extra!
