Again, I learned more about the family, husband, grandfather,etc than I did about what types of window treatments I might be interested in. She never explained inside mounts versus outside mounts, Roman shades... NOTHING! Having lived in a Condominium back east for 28 years with 2 windows. Now, I was buying window treatments for my entire house! My eye sight is very sensitive light. I went with a black out shades... however never said anything about outside mounts so my shade have an inch and a half space between the window and the wall where you can see outside and light gets in, thats an inside mount. Big mistake! Funny enough, she came back the following day after I picked out my shades and shutters, because my dinning room shade she remembered I had high floor boards and she had to remeasure, I freaked out a bit as she had to move the shade inside a bit to it did not catch on the baseboard. She knew I my eyes were sensitive to light however the frame of the sliding glass door blocked any light coming in.... However 10 feet away my living room windows... She did not connect the dots! Who makes shade that have an inch and a half gap on the sides of the shades? Especially knowing the other homes she did in my new housing development the windows are not straight, you would think to recommend OUTSIDE MOUNTS! Oh and be expected to make her a cup of coffee... she prefer a double espresso and trust me... she doesn't need the extra caffeine shes had enough caffeine before she even showed up, bouncing off the walls.
