I was impressed with the customer service. I needed two sets of Hunter Douglas blinds to be re-strung. One set was too degraded to string it properly so I ended up having to purchase a new one. I couldn't decide if I wanted to replace the whole room (3 windows) but Mike let me know that if I did end up deciding to replace the set he had just repaired, that he would deduct the repair price from the cost of the blinds. I had a little problem with one of my corded blinds not rolling up evenly after I replaced the clutches. I called Reno Blinds to have them fix it. I left a message and they called back within an hour. The woman I spoke to said she would contact one of the installers and call me back later that afternoon. We had a conference call, and the installer explained exactly what I should do to address the problem. His explanation was spot on, and now my blind rolls up perfectly. I had broke our master bedroom blackout blinds .... by broke I mean the string snapped and sucked into the top of the blinds. Reno blinds and repair was very nice on the phone scheduling the repair. A repairman named Gil arrived and was very professional and kind. He did not waste one second of our time and repaired the blind without issue. I have a large Roman Shade whose roller broke. I called Reno Blinds & Repair and it was very easy to make an appointment for a few weeks out. On the day of the appointment, the office called to say the repairman was running ahead of schedule and could come right away if that was all right with me. I appreciated that very much. Shortly thereafter, Mike arrived (wearing a mask, of course) and promptly got to work. He removed the shade, quickly identified the problem, and took it out to his worktable in his truck to repair. It didn't take long, and he was done. Hung the shade back up and it works perfectly. Mike was excellent, friendly, and very professional. I highly recommend this company and will definitely call them again if I need hep with any of my blinds or shades. And the cost is very reasonable - came in less than the original estimate. This office building is made up largely of windows with unique slants and 2 of the larger, national blinds chains declined to assist with a relatively simple blinds repair while Reno Blinds and Repair completed the job without complaint, cleaned up after themselves upon completion and stayed within their estimate and my budget. My vertical blinds needed a new plastic slat with channels on each side of the fabric front and a new piece to hold the blind to the header. The first estimate was $650 with the comment that I might just as well get new blinds. Yikes...too much and besides the one bad slat, the rest of the blinds were perfect! I next called Reno Blinds & Repair and Danielle set up an appointment for the next day with John, who arrived on time. John looked at the problem, called Danielle for the parts prices and quoted me $85. After the ordered parts arrived, John came, again promptly on time, and installed the new pieces to my blinds. I am so grateful that my blinds are working again and to Reno Blinds...plus Danielle and John are really nice people. The moral of this story is to get more than one estimate always! read more
