One of the jewelers behind the glass asked to have a look at it and said that they normally don't do the fix I needed but thought he could help. He replaced the battery, it works fine, and he wouldn't take my money for the battery or his time. Random acts of kindness like that, especially when they aren't expected are a rare thing nowadays. We have purchased several pieces of jewelry from this jeweler over the years, including my…read moreengagement ring and wedding band, my husband's wedding band, and other jewelry. (Well over 14k) We loved my engagement ring so much that we continued coming back, and we even referred my sister, who also spent a significant amount of money here. We genuinely wanted to support this business, which is why this experience has been so disappointing. The first issue was with my wedding band. We were repeatedly promised it would arrive before our wedding, but it didn't. After being reassured multiple times that it would be here in time, it didn't arrive until after we returned from our honeymoon. While frustrating, we moved past it. The bigger disappointment has been my husband's wedding band. Before purchasing it, we specifically told Amy that durability was our biggest concern. We wanted a ring that would hold up to everyday wear, and we were assured this was a great choice, especially for the price ($500). We were even told it was durable enough that wearing it to the gym wouldn't be an issue. Within the first week, it was already scratched. After only six months of marriage, I reached out. The ring looked so worn that even the owner reached out and told us she was disappointed with how it had held up. We were told to come in and choose a different ring. When we arrived, however, Amy explained that our only options were to downgrade to a less expensive ring, purchase gold, or reorder the exact same ring. Since this was his actual wedding band and it carries so much sentimental value, we chose to reorder the same style. We were told it would take about two weeks and that it would be overnighted back to us. Two weeks passed with no update. I had to reach out myself, only to learn it had been backordered for several more weeks. No one contacted us to let us know about the delay. Although we brought the original ring in back in February, the replacement wasn't ready until May. After finally getting it back, my husband has only worn it during normal everyday life and work (he hasn't worn it to the gym this time.) Yet it is already scratched again and already looks worn after such a short time. We haven't even been married a year, and we've already gone through one replacement ring. That's incredibly frustrating for something that's supposed to last a lifetime. We also weren't offered a refund when I asked about it. Our only options were to downgrade to a less expensive ring, pay to upgrade or reorder the exact same ring that had already failed us. That didn't feel like much of a solution. The fact that a $25 Amazon ring has held up significantly better than a $500 wedding band says everything. What makes this so frustrating is that we weren't just first-time customers. We trusted this jeweler with one of the biggest purchases of our lives, continued purchasing jewelry here, and confidently referred family because we believed in the business. Instead, we've been left disappointed by the quality of the product, the repeated delays, the lack of communication, and the lack of a meaningful resolution. Additionally, Ryan sold me a Bulova Frank Lloyd Wright Dana-Thomas House Men's Quartz Watch for a fair and reasonable price. This watch is elegant, stylish, and the epitome of watchmaking couture. Being a big fan of "everything" Frank Lloyd Wright, I couldn't resist owning it and now I can't resist showing it off!

I had such an incredible time at Crafted Rings! I love the idea of being able to create my own…read morering, and Cole took me step-by-step through the process and helped me to do as much as I could on my own. Now I have not only a cool new ring but something I can say I crafted myself! After selecting a design, the first step of the process was hand carving the ring out of wax - making the ring big enough for my finger and shaping the pattern on the outside. All the necessary tools were provided and were easy to use, especially with Cole's tips and expertise. (As someone with very limited experience with creating anything by hand, I very much appreciated this!) This step had the most amount of time allocated to it, and does require a degree of delicateness with the wax and patience with the process and with yourself. Luckily, Cole was also able to help undo or cover up mistakes (or weld the ring back together when the wax snapped - which definitely didn't happen five or six times ) Next, we used the wax ring to create a sand mold into which the silver for the ring could be poured. This doesn't take long, but prepping the mold also requires some delicate work. Again, Cole was there to help with corrections and mistakes. Since I was there by myself, I may have had a chance to be a bit more involved in preparing the silver for pouring into the mold than a group may have been able to. After the mold was ready, we used a torch to melt the silver and Cole poured the silver into the mold in one smooth, expert motion. The ring formed and cooled quickly, so within a minute or so we were putting the finishing touches on the final product. Finally, after some "pruning," sanding, and polishing, I have an awesome ring I can truly call my own! If you've ever wanted to craft something yourself worthy of being an heirloom that you could truly cal your own, or if you're looking for a meaningful gift of jewelry that isn't marked up to ridiculous prices just to take advantage of you, (OR if you just want to experience imagining yourself forging your own Ring Of Power in the fires of Mount Doom) I can absolutely recommend Crafted Rings!

You round the corner into the workshop, with its magical blend of unique vintage decor, industrial work bench, and wax blanks on a marble square, and you know this will be something special. Creating unique handmade rings was a process like no other. With Cole and Kayla's encouragement and guidance, our experience was memorable and so much fun! We carved our rings out of Wax and when we needed assistance, Cole and Kayla were there to help. This was such a memorable experience for my daughter and I to share, and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in the Salt Lake City area! So much fun! The product is awesome, but the process was even better!
