The best buffet in the town of mesquite for the price, in my opinion. My favorite is seafood Friday nights and prime rib and crab legs on Saturday night. I have not tried the breakfast buffet yet but I am sure it is worth a try. The staff is very attentive and friendly, never got thirsty waiting on a tea refill. If I could give zero stars, I would! They have the worst customer service ever in the hospitality industry! The cashier and the hostess are not working together and argue with each other. The hostess wasted half an hour of my time to let me wait in the line, and then the cashier told me he can't ring me up because they can't fit in so many people and they are about to close. The front desk told us we can still get to be seated and eat at 9:00, it's 8:55 and I was told I couldn't. I brought this up to the cashier that I was told as long as it's before 9 it's fine, the cashier told me" You yourself want to wait. It's not my fault not our fault, it's YOUR fault!" We stayed here at the hotel for the night and decided to try the buffet out. I was really surprised by the amount of choices and the quality of the food. The best thing by far was the omelet station. The man running the show was a master and warning if your getting an omelet be prepared they are HUGE I had shrimp, spinach, peppers, onions, Jalapeños and chess and it was fabulous. There are plenty of hot choices as well as pastries and desserts, definitely worth the money. What a great breakfast buffet and it's only $6.99....... You get "make your own omelets" (omelette station) where you can also choose freshly cooked eggs or scrambled eggs, any way you want. (Shrimp, bacon, mushrooms, cheese, and many other ingredients are offered). There are dozens of selections on the steam table-- I particularly liked the "Breakfast Pizza", very creative for a buffet. You also get desserts (check out the "sugar free" chocolate cream pie) and all the beverages and juice you could possibly want. In Northern CA, you would have to pay $15 or more for this spread. Even in Las Vegas, NV -- you will pay $9 or $10 for this level of breakfast gluttony. Did I mention they have lots of fresh fruits? Strawberries, Melons, Bananas, etc......and the usual canned fruits that old people love. My only NEGATIVE about this place: The OLD PEOPLE that come here from nearby Sun City are pathetic. They are gambling away their savings here.........as evidenced by all of them having "Comp" tickets for a free buffet. The buffet is a great value. It is a different price each night based on the fare they are serving, but I have never had a bad meal there! This is more of a locals hang out...so no need to get dressed up (really...don't dress up). Again, like it's Sister, the Casablanca, they have outstanding prime rib. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and we always have a great time. If you are looking for cozy, quite, and romantic... this isn't the place for you. It's a Buffet....In Mesquite. It's not the Ritz, or a gourmet restaurant by any means but the food is always fresh. We eat here every time we are in Mesquite. There's a different menu every day, and the salad/cold bar is one of the best I've been to and I'm pretty picky. If you're a vegetarian their options are pretty abundant with different salads, fruits and veggies and pastas. Their dessert selection is small but consistently good. The service is always great and everyone is friendly. They let you cork your wine and take it back to your room if you don't finish it, which is great if you're heading to the pool (hello hydro flask). We went there last week and it was steak night. Steaks are grilled to order. Extra benefit is that this is the only Buffett open 7 days a week in town. read more

I like this buffetm we went for dinner ($12.99 a person) and it was mexican night.. They had a lot of variety. My fiancé is super picky and actually enjoyed it. The pizza was good, the fish was good, the carne asada was good.. And the salad bar and fruit was excellent. I ordered 2 glasses of champagne and they were only $4.50 each. The sign says it would open for dinner at 3:00 pm and we have been waiting for 30 minutes and it still haven't opened. Not the biggest buffet compared to the Vegas ones. Friday is crablegs and seafood for $16.99. The mahi mahi, scallops and swordfish were super hard and chewy, i dont know how all the old folks can eat it since that was the majority of the crowd. Loved the giant steamed salmon and deluxe pizzas. Would have given another star if their dessert selection was good. Just softserved icecream and saran wrapped pies, bread and rice puddings. My wife, mother in law, and I come to Mesquite once a month to eat and gamble a little. Food has always been above average as far as buffets go. But what irates us and other regular gamblers and diners that we have talked to, is when a tour bus shows up and unload 50 to 80 hungry nongambler riders, they all seen to get to circumvent the regular waiting line and go right the front of the line to be seated. The riders eat then get back on the bus and leave without wagering or spending a dime. I don't know what kind of arrangement the buffet and tour bus has, but us and other regulars in line take it as a slap in the face. Maybe it's time to revaluate our dining and gambling options and consider the casino across the street. read more

Service after closing time is horrible. My wife and I went in to eat at 813pm on a Monday. I know this time is correct because of the reciept. They close at 900pm. Casino food used to be good but I guess covid wiped out good manners too. I went for dessert about 900pm . People still in restaurant. The couple behind us sat down at about 845pm to eat. Sometime before 900pm a grey haired old blond bar maid comes and asks us "Would you like a refill" We politely declined. 10 minutes later I went for dessert only to find the ice cream machine shut down. The ol lady offered no explanation nor offer to turn it on. So, I don't get a whole meal??? 16 dollars and no dessert? The thing is if we didn't get dessert then I know the people that came in 15 minutes before closing DEFINITELY didn't get a dessert as they were still eating an entree. I walked out pissed and commented as I did, stating "this place is effed up, I didn't get dessert". The old grey haired blond lied and said, " We told you what time it was,blah blah blah? I thought, " you bitch, you're lying now" No one said, "Last call for food. Don't eat here. Went there at 5 on a Wednesday night. We got salads first which weren't too bad. My wife took the first trip app for the main courses while I waited. She came back with this dry looking piece of liver with onions on top and mashed potatoes. She said nothing else appeal to her. When I went up there, the pot roast chile verde, Fried Chicken, and the pizza all looked old. Based on looks alone I was ready to ask for our money back but we had already eaten our salads so I took a little bit of each item and went back to our table. Everything tasted like it was at least the second day out. I struggled to finish the small portions I had taken while my wife had already given up and took a shot at the desserts. When she came back she had some lemon meringue a small portion of cherry and apple cobbler with the little ice cream on top. She offered me a taste of the pie and it was good so I got some along with the cherry and apple cobbler, which were very good. I had eaten there before and enjoyed the food and gave it 4 stars. I don't know what's happened unless we just came on a bad day. The waitress was very friendly and gave us good service. I'm downgrading it to two stars. The other restaurant in the Casino has really good specials and would be a better choice until the buffet gets its act together. read more

No egg white omelette and in the omelette I did get everything was swimming in oil yet not fully cocked. Same with the hash browns. Raw potatoes swimming in oil. Rather disgusting. Desserts are disgusting to inedible, that includes the fruits which were unchewable. Only thing that I could eat was a banana, but it costs only ¢20, didn't justify a whole meal.. There was a wide selection even though my family had arrived at the end of breakfast service which gave us only 15 minutes to be able to plate any of the food items that we were interested in. The downs haven't been so terrible to permanently drive me away and the ups are often enough to keep me coming back. I like steak night, my husband prefers seafood night. The salad bar is always fresh and clean. I like their fresh melon. Pot roast is outstanding and their hot vegetable medley is excellent. The steaks are flavorful and tender. We usually eat at the Eureka buffet across the street, but they were closed the last time we were in Mesquite, so we went to the Sierra for their buffet. We are now fans of both and the Sierra is much less expensive than the Eureka, with food that is just as good and IMO, better service.
